As Neji would finish speaking, he sees his sensei weave a tiger hand seal. Right when he would do this, he notices snakes emerging up from the ground which end up restricting his movements. Moments later, he feels a little pressure in the mid section and upper post of his torso/body. -Are these snakes.. Squeezing me to death!?- As he feels the grip of the snakes grow tighter and his own body being squished, he looks over to his sensei. Neji gasps as he feels himself taking rapid but small breaths of air. "Ugh.. Is your name, Theodore? Or is it Danjou?"

Exactly, now we'll keep that in mind for later. Right now I'm interested in knowing everything you know about genjutsu. However, since there is a lot to be covered I'll just ask you for the basic food groups.
Explain what you know as far as: What it is, how it works, the different types, how they can be broken, and who is well noted in the realm of genjutsu in the series and why...
If you want extra credit, you can give me the names of a few genjutsu masters on NB and tell me what you know about them. It's always good to understand the people you'll be engaging with in the RP. Foreknowledge is one of ninja's main Ho...I mean female escorts...

To make it short, Genjutsu [or illusion techniques], is a type of jutsu that affects the mind of someone's opponent rather than dealing physical damage like taijutsu or ninjutsu. Genjutsu works by the user feeding their chakra into the intended person and uses said chakra to disrupt their chakra network in the brain [which targets the 5 senses, or at least 4 since I haven't seen taste being manipulated; hm sounds like a decent CJ]. When someone is under genjutsu, like said before, the user is able to manipulate the senses; the most known having been affecting sight [such as demonic illusions]. Genjutsu ranges in a variety of techniques like ninjutsu, from weaker versions like "Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique" to forbidden ones like Tsukyomi, Kotoamatsukami and Izanami.
As someone is falling victim to genjutsu, the best way to realize it [without metagaming], is to observing for anything overly-obvious or something which would naturally probe their suspicion. Or if you have a Hyuga bio [like me for example] you can easily see that your chakra network is not flowing properly, so you can quickly tell you're under someone's illusion. To fight off the effects of Genjutsu, there are three ways. The first option is for the victim to stop their own chakra flow in their body, and then apply an even stronger power of their chakra to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra [known as "Kai"]. The second way is to have an ally unaffected by the Genjutsu make physical contact, and use their chakra to disrupt the caster's flow. Or, if you're not willing to wast chakra on Kai, the last way is to inflict physical pain onto one's self. This certain method varies from different ranked techniques which can result from a small stab wound to the lose of one's limb. Notable users of Genjutsu are, Fukasaku & Shima, Itachi, Sasuke, Kurenai and Danzo.

Good explanation, there is one thing I want to address first, before we continue. You mentioned Byakugan users. While you are correct that Byakugan users and other dojutsu/sensory type users are capable of reading your own chakra system to figure that you have indeed been placed under a genjutsu but it's not as simple as passivly looking at your chakra. In every case (dojutsu and sensor) you'll be focused likely on your opponent, surroundings, and various other things and your body won't be one of them unless in specific circumstance. While you are scanning the area to look for your enemy that's hidden from you or worrying about an attack you can't see with naked eyes, you won't focus on your own chakra system, it's impossible. So, what do you do? When placed in a genjutsu you rationalize that there is something that isn't right or seems suspicious just like you would if you didn't have a dojojutsu. From there you'll check your system for explicit confirmation that you're under a genjutsu
For a long time dojutsu and sensors have bypassed genjutsu with the idea of unchallenged omnipotence over their system as long as their techniques are active and therefore, the moment they're placed under a genjutsu, they "see it in their chakra" and release it. However this isnt' the case, otherwise every sensor we've seen in the series would have foreknowledge of the genjutsu and release it or attempt to. Any questions before we continue?

Alright, first time for me teaching genjutsu so you're a test dummy. *cracks fingers*
The way I figured we do this is; Concept Training, Technique Training, and then Application Training...
First thing's first is Concept training which is more or less discussion about key items in genjutsu mainly
~Breaking
~Casting
~Layering
We'll start with breaking.
Now you've already mentioned how to break genjutsu in three methods however, in our RP we have a fourth method of breaking through genjutsu which is similar to genjutsu kai which is called the full body surge. Essentially speaking, when you're hit with a genjutsu, your entire chakra system becomes disrupted. With Genjutsu kai, you stop your body's chakra flow and then give it a sudden jolt. However, if you simply called forth a large amount of chakra from inside your body for a technique that simply overloaded the foreign chakra causing the genjutsu, it would work in the same way as genjutsu kai, forcing out the foreign chakra.
Take the Technique Chidori Negashi (Chidori Current). It's emitted from every pore of your being (Lightning chakra) which causes a substantial amount of chakra release that would force out the chakra for weaker genjutsu cast upon you. However there are rules that go along with this method of; using full body ninjutsu to release genjutsu. Care to take a guess at what some of those rules might be?
