Well... I suppose you could, but in the manga/anime, the user of this jutsu only had them "attack" with basic tools

The way to figure this one out is to attack the clones themselves. Knowing that they aren't real when they multiply and the fact that they have no real physical presence should alert you to the idea that it's an illusion.

Last D-rank! By affecting your opponent's senses, you make them see a swirl of leaves surround them. Then, they see the thing they fear the most in front of them, causing mental stress and possible fainting!

Tell me, what's something you're afraid of?

( Magen: Narakumi ) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

... Tsuki? Either you mean "Moon" in Japanese or Tsuki, the NB user XD

... I guess Tsuki-senpai can be pretty scary. I dunno, he seems cool to me Lol

Ok, C-ranks! This one's really fun because it's like you're playing a prank on them. By inserting your chakra, you disrupt your opponent's sense of direction, such that they'll begin running around in circles, but think they're instead running in a straight line. Note that this only works on a moving opponent.

This can be a taijutsu user's nightmare. Imagine if they're running towards you, you make them run in circles. They'll still think they're heading towards you, allowing them to keep on running!

Questions about this one?

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

I mean the NB user, your not in the same village as him some of the stuff he comes out with and shows us is scary >_>

can this be used in NW as an invader is coming to attack a village?

how many people can be affected?

I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to join Suna  xD

You can use this gen on an invader for RP purposes, but if they figure it out, they could count it as an attack and it would be an illegal move. And it only affects individual targets it's casted upon.

Ok. This next one is almost impossible to use unless it's for RP purposes or if you've already defeated your opponent. You interrogate them with a genjutsu, forcing them to give out information. Battle-wise, it may not really be useful at all. Better for NW or non-battle things.

One thing to note here is that it works on ninjas two ranks lower than you. I'm an Unofficial Sage, so it works on Sannin level fighters when I use it (post ranks). Since you're a Sannin, what's the highest ranked ninja you can affect?

( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

Perfect ^^

Ok, next. This one's interesting because it reaches up to mid-range. You'll make your opponent believe a fireball is raining down on them.

Can you think of a combination with other jutsus that would make your enemy try to counter what's not actually there, and mistakenly not break themselves out of the genjutsu? :)

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

you could make the opponent think it was the Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower by inhaling and pretend to exhale the fireball so they would metagame and you kill them, also you could make it look like any normal fireball I suppose

Exactly what I was thinking, great!

Last C-rank here. Not too different in terms of what it can do, but do you have questions on this one?

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

Nope, it's just one clone at a time :)

B-ranks!

This one's a more advanced version of the D-rank False Surroundings. However, you create two C-rank layers for an overall B-rank illusion. What this means is that when your opponent dispels the first layer, the second one takes effect.

Can you give me an example of a double layer that would be performed in such a way that your opponent wouldn't immediately suspect it was an illusion?

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

okay :)

Shikamaru listens to his sensei and yes I can sensei you could have the opponent blinded by changing his vision by having the surroundings too bright too look at, so he cannot see anything; so he will find it hard it is a genjustu if it was a bright day already and if he does find out it was a genjustu you can have the second layer of a terrain you was already on so he thinks he has broke out of the genjustu but is really still inside one.

Not bad, actually! I could see you combining that with the Lightning Illusion Flash technique (The S-rank one, I believe... or is it A? Can't recall properly right now xd)

*breaks out of the genjutsu appropriately without metagaming u.u*

So, take out your sword and swing it back and forth. This hypnotizes your opponent and makes them hallucinate, where they see multiple waving sword arms. This leaves them off guard, allowing you to follow up with a sword attack or otherwise.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

(I do really remember either to be honest xD)

Shikamaru takes the sword that was strapped to his waist and listened to what his sensei said, so he began to swing his sword in different arc movements that traps souji into a genjustu where he sees multiple waving sword arms swinging. Shikamaru quickly runs behind him waiting for him to break out.

*releases himself using Genjutsu Kai, after figuring out that the waving arms were illusions because they weren't attached to a body of any sort, ruling out the fact that they could possibly be clones*

Alright, for these next two, I want you to try to find an image for both and explain to me, in your own words, how they work. They're both illusions that depict the formation of plants... the first one being vines and the second on a flower bud.

Now, the key to breaking out of these ones is to use your other senses other than sight. Let's focus on the second one. It says the flower bud traps you, but use your keen senses... remember, most basic genjutsus only affect your sense of sight. Flowers feel and smell a certain way. If the flower bud doesn't have those properties (which it shouldn't have since it's solely a visual illusion), you can properly reason that it is indeed an illusion and subsequently break out of it appropriately.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

from what I can gather about this first technique ( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an genjustu where at first the user disappears into a mist or some leaves( I guess), then this will leave the opponent left trying to figure where the user has gone. As the opponent is thinking this a tree appears and binds him with thick branch's to the tree, then the user then appears to emerge out the tree with a weapon of some sort (I guessing you can choose) but in reality you run very quickly to the opponent and attacks him/her.

again as stated in the actual technique description this is very similar to the first technique but the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an genjustu where vines actually bind the opponent instead of a tree which could be more useful as this binds them, lifting them in the air where the user appears to come out in a bean pod but in reality they are just standing near them .

Perfecto! ^_^

Same drill with these next two, please!

The second one is popular with Snake users because it's harder to reason out of it if you use deception with snake summonings. Applying what I had taught you in the previous post (the point I made about your affected senses), how would you figure out that the snakes aren't actually real?

( Magen: Jubaku Satsu ) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.

( Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire ) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

Again this technique looks pretty simple to understand the user does 5 handseals which could be a pain in short range, which is the range of the technique so this is a disadvantage, but then when the opponent put in the genjustu they see the user disappear but in actual fact still in the same spot as before, then the opponent feels and looks like he has been binded by a tree. This would be very strange if you was inside a building or a place where trees don't grow for all of a sudden a tree to grow and bind you and the user has disappeared so this is a downside (unless the user has wood release then the opponent wouldn't be able to tell if it was reality or genjustu).

You must be registered for see images

The second technique a little more tricky but is quite simple as the first if you look at it right, a snake begins to constrict you from the bottom you would able to get a shot at him with a technique putting him on the defensive while you deal with the genjustu (unknown of course) you could guess that the snake is not hissing as it would when it wraps it prey up but this is minor and might be classed as metagaming, but the fact that you cant hear should be enough to cause a charka spike so you can check if it is a genjustu and then you could on the offensive.

couldn't find one

One of the ways I would figure either of those out is to use your other senses. For the snake one, remember that snakes are typically slimy or have a texture and sound. It's likely that this illusion does not mimic those, so you can assume the snakes are indeed fake.

Ok. Last B-rank. It's self explanatory so I don't think I have to go over it. Do you have any questions, though?

( Genjutsu: Hanaoka ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Hill
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.
