I just downloaded League of Legends to see what it was all about and I finished the tutorial but every single time that I try to join a "Custom" room to actually play the game for once either I get banned from it instantly or the game says it will take 40+ minutes to start... What the actual ****?

How do they get so many players to the game without actually letting people play the game? How the hell does this even work anyway...?

Cause the most people in custom games play with their friends 5vs5, or a different mode.

You should play against bots with other people, or go for a normal game.

Press match me with teammates, and you will be playing 5vs5. But I'd recommend you to learn against bots first.

Play the bot game trust me learn before you think you're pro because you will be abused in a normal game

The problem is not the game.

Custom games many times want friends, or more experianced people to join those games. As you are neither, that is why the PLAYER will kick you from the room.


The 40 minutes countdown timer, is NOT time until the game starts. It is how long the leader of the custom game can wait to start the game until his custom game will be shutdown automatically.

The leader of the custom games can start the game whenever he wants to. Usually he does so when he has 10 players(for a 5v5).



However what you need to spend your time focusing on for now, is coop vs ai. Right now your skills at the game are probably less than a bots(at least decision making), and you would just get obliterated in custom games, and have no fun. Also you do not get much IP (influence points)(currency gained from playing games) to purchase new champions from custom games.

So what you should do is play coop vs ai. Practice till you get good enough to beat the beginner bots with ease. Practice till you can beat the intermediate bots with ease. Practice until you find a champion you are good with or like.

Get familiar with the items, and your abilities, and the different roles of each champion.

Once you get to about lv 5 or so, I think you are able to begin playing normal games.

I dont know what level you need to be to use it, but team builder is really good. You get to be whoever you want, and be whatever role you want, guaranteed.
