(Fūton: Rasengan) - Wind Style: Spiral sphere

Description: Rasengan doesn't require handseals, only molding of the chakra. The user focuses and creates a fast, rotating sphere of chakra in the palm of their hand which can cause much destructive impact. A direct Rasengan hit can be lethal but the user needs to actually physically hit the opponent for it to work.

If you already learned the non-elemental version of Rasengan you can use this jutsu, otherwise you can learn it but not use it until you've learned the non- elemental version.

Focus your chakra into your dominant hand and mould the chakra into a sphere shape. Then add wind chakra to make it elemental. As you are done creating the rasengan you slam your hand with the rasengan in it against my clone, giving her a lethal hit.

Good. Can you explain why this jutsu is short ranged?

it's short ranged because to maintain it's shape we need to constantly focus on it and continue using shape manipulation

Maybe, but if you are skilled enough you can do that also on mid range
What I meant is this line "A direct Rasengan hit can be lethal but the user needs to actually physically hit the opponent for it to work." You need to hit the opponent with the Rasengan, and because your arms cannot reach to mid-range (in most of the cases that is) it has to be short ranged. Stay sharp!
