personal i think he trashes pre-timeskip

df natsu stomped jellal who was more or less laxus equal and an arguably stronger df natsu fought on par with zero but then started getting overwhelmed and would have lost if not for POF and igneel

would say it would be a close match pre timeskip, Laxus is extremely strong. He would probably end up losing though. Laxus is too full of himself at this time and I think zero is a better tactician.

After the timeskip Laxus is truly overwhelmingly powerful. I think Laxus should win fairly easily here.
