When gajeel said the strength of Makarov, I don't think that he was referring to his actual physical strength. I think that he was referring to his magical power

I doubt he has the same ability sure he looked a little more bigger but not even close to what makarov is capable of. Also dragon slayer's I.e all of them have only ever been shown using there said ability's beside's Laxus showing fairy law.
