Lava Release (溶遁; 熔遁, Yōton, English TV: "Corrosion Style" or "Lava Style") is an Advanced Element made up of techniques that mix Earth Release and Fire Release to create volcanic materials such as lava or rubber in different properties and usages. This particular Advanced Element is notable for having an expansive array of ninja capable of using it, with three variants—each associated with a different constituent of the Five Great Shinobi Countries. In addition, another variant exists as the most defining trait of the Four-Tails bijū.

- Variant 1: A strong acidic mud unique to Mei Terumī.
- Variant 2: Both liquid and solid states of molten rock, exclusive to Son Gokū and his jinchūriki, Rōshi.
- Variant 3: A corrosive, quicklime substance intrinsic to the Iwagakure population.
- Variant 4: A malleable, vulcanized rubber intrinsic to the Kumogakure population..
Restrictions:
- Requires both Earth Release and Fire Release to make a Yōton bio.
- Counts as an Advanced Element.
- Both variants listed below have their own rules in order to fully acquire the bio.
Variant 1 is restricted to only Mei Terumī bios.
Variant 2 is restricted to only Son Gokū and his jinchūriki, Rōshi.

Variant 3 is restricted to Kurotsuchi and custom bios that originate from the Land of Earth.
Variant 4 is restricted to Dodai and custom bios that originate from the Land of Lightning.
