[Question] "Latest Reputation Received" bar does not show threads "thanked"

I've been wondering about this for awhile now, ever since NB went Bulletin V4, but haven't felt need to ask before now because I thought it would be fixed eventually. With the new system, your thanked threads does not (fully) appear in the "Latest Reputation Received" bar, unless they've used the rep button (with the approve/disapprove message + comment feature) to rep it, but you still get the reputation points for every thank(s) you receive... Why is this so, and can it/will it ever be fixed, or maybe it isn't compatible with the new Bulletin Version or that the staff don't see the need for it/has not known about it?

Getting this resolved is not that big of a deal for me, but I thought I would ask nonetheless. Thanks for any answers ^_^

Wait.... you get rep for getting thanks? Didn't know that.
OT: I think that's a good idea if they added that.

Duh, what would be the point otherwise? xD I think each "thanks" give like 5 points or so, so in some cases (depending on your own reputation power) you may give less or more points by hitting the rep button. In my case, my reputation power is 9, meaning I give 9 points for every rep I give out. I don't know if it's combined though, or if you get the standard 5 (?) points regardless of the power level of the one giving out the rep when thanking threads. This means that I give 5 points by thanking a thread, but 9 points if I rep the post. Though as a drawback, to rep someone that way, you often have to spread some rep first, while you can thank a person's threads as many as he have, regardless of that.

Anyways, I suppose some would say that you can only check your threads to see if you've got any thanks/rep, so what would be the point, but the thing is, if that was the case, then what would be the need for the "Latest Reputation Received" bar in the first place?

lol That would explain why sometimes i get Random rep without getting any notifications. Wow I feel stupid.

Yeah, indeed, for each 'Thanks' given, you get five reputation points, regardless of the rep count of the User thanking your thread.

OT: I don't really see it as something too necessary, since you can just view the thread and you'll see if anyone thanked it. I guess it might be nice though.

Indeed. It's bothered me a bit, because I often check the "LRR" bar to see if I've got some new rep for something I've posted, but it does not show the rep received through Thanked threads, meaning you would have to go through your threads to find out what you got rep for. This can be problematic if you make a lot of threads for sure xD I guess it could be argued that since there's a limit on how many "latest rep" the bar show, showing of the thanks as well would drown the "repped ones" that you won't find as easily as you can by checking your threads for the thanks, and since they're not going to extend the bar due to the bandwidth it would take up, it might not be a good idea and that might be the reason to why it doesn't show after NB went Bulletin 4.

If so, they would have just kept the "Like & Dislike" buttons they temporary implemented and removed the "thanks" button I guess they figured having both did not serve a purpose. But now I'm just side tracking, let's see if a Mod answer it soon.

There is a "Post thank/like button" received button on your profile. Use it. You get more details now than previously.

Default notification for thanks was removed because many users were complaining.
