I don't understand why Naruto wouldn't attempt to inflict a fatal injury upon Tobi. He did mannage to break Tobi's mask, but wouldn't it have made more sense to delegate an immense amount of damage, since Kakashi is apparently running out of stamina, instead of trying to expose who is beneath the mask?

I'm curious to what happens with a full powered Rasengan to them face he only hits people in the chest or arms. If it wasn't Tobi they'd die but knowing Tobi he will be ok

Naruto asked who are you when he made contact. If he were attempting a fatal blow to the face, would anyone be able to recognize the face, if he were not attempting to discover who tobi was?

This is very possible. I don't Kishimoto will reveal who Tobi is that easily. He's going to milk it for all it's worth.

I think naruto did right.
Minato hit Tobi with a rasengan on his back (close to heart) and he didn't died.
So if naruto had one hit, better to break his mask, or maybe try a stronger attack.
