This is a very interesting interview with Akira Toriyama, creator of the Dragonball (Z) series. He sheds some light on who Goku's mom was, talks a little about Bardock and Freeza, and even mentions making Vegeta the center character of a DBZ movie if they make another one (I got really excited about that, Vegeta is in my top 3 favs from DB). I thought that was canon along with history of trunks and BoG. Freiza even mentions bardock when he sees goku
