why do people view death is as a negative thing. dont you want to know whats in the other side, if there is anything. and if you believe there is an other side embrace it. if you dont believe then good youll never have to worry about anything in life cuz once you die youll stop worrying about it.

The end of a life can be sudden and tragic, so why not think about it? I'm not saying live your life like you're dying. That's juvenile and irresponsible, I'm just proposing a query.

I'm not saying to "live life like you're dying". What I mean is that rehearsing your last words so you can tell them when your time comes is such a fatalist view, and (to me), insecurity; as if you haven't proven yourself throughout your life. People will judge you for your character and how you lived your life; not for something you say before passing on.

You should read Hope: A Tragedy by Shalom Auslander. It's a dark comedy novel about a man in modern Scranton who finds a 90 something year old Anne Frank living in his attic, but that isn't why I'm recommending it. The reason is that the main character has an obsession with what his last words will be, and he keeps a notebook of all the potential options. Additionally he ponders the last words of many famous, historical figures.
