Last Shadow

A clearing deep in the Forests of Kamiyasumi where no shadows are cast, even from the tallest trees. It is a relatively small clearing, roughly the shape of a twenty-meter radius making it one of the smallest landmarks in the Ninja World. It is here that the world of Kamiyasumi begins to experience its own warped reality, as if what is ‘true’ and ‘real’ is in flux. In the days since the Calamity sounds can frequently be heard within the clearing, yet with no apparent source. Other times the fabric of space-time seems to distort, and one can almost make out otherworldly sights beyond a light, faded veil. Interestingly a number of flowers have bloomed within the clearing. They seemingly glow in the moon's presence, thus they have been named "Tears of the Moon".

Musashi arrived into the bizarre landscape, after clearing the thick dense trees of the cedar forest. Towering wooden obelisk casts no shadows, and even without her soul-sensing telling her the veil was thin here, Musashi's intuition was that this place was unnatural, as if it was both the realm of the living and dead simultaneously.

"Keep your wits about you while we're here," said Musashi, in a bout of somewhat uncharacteristic seriousness.

This post marks the beginning of my mission using these storyboard elements:
- Scout potential threats (3).

Musashi looked around, Mirabelle strangely quiet from what Musashi had gleaned in her short interactions with the girl. This place was eerie, and gave Musashi the chills.

Musashi was well attuned to the spirit realm, able to sense the souls of living creatures, but the veil here between life and death felt…thin. The hairs on the back of her neck stood, and she could feel her body tensing reflexively, like danger surrounded her. Her enhanced senses might not be doing her any favors, as it always seemed that something was dancing at the edge of her vision…but there was never anything there.

The area - this clearing and unnatural space - was small. Perhaps a bit more than 100ft across, the area seemed circular, but wasn’t perfect. It seemed the area was suffuse with a supernatural phenomenon, but perhaps a natural one?

The boundary of the area wasn’t perfectly circular, and even the tall trees that surrounded it…even Musashi and Mirabelle standing in this clearing, not a single thing cast a shadow.

Were the trees drinking the light itself, or did this area exist “between”? Musashi could not answer. Her own nature as a “traveler”, a visitor from a place very similar to this one but not quite the same made her nervous. Would she be sent home, or sent somewhere else? There was no telling.

Musashi even hesitated to draw Myōjingiri for fear that such a magnificent blade’s edge would be too fine, and tear through the thin fabric of reality here.

Perhaps the most strange part of all was the fact that despite these strange feelings…there was nothing here. Only stillness. Nothing in the area reacted to the presence of the two intruders.

Musashi knew that it was best to avoid drawing the eye of vengeful spirits. She took a moment, pulling out her map and detailing the area, recording some of her observations; perhaps there was a pollen in the area or other effect, that was causing this? Musashi couldn’t rule that out, and voiced the proposal to Mirabelle. Others who ventured this way might be able to confirm, but that would be up to them.

“Let’s not linger here,“ Musashi said, stowing the map and records she had created.

She went to move on, ready to leave. She would not leave Mirabelle here alone - unless she wished to be, Musashi barely knew her - but she couldn’t at least make an effort in good consciousness, and when her intuition was on edge like this.

Arriving into the Last Shadow, Mirabelle’s mind went amiss for a while, aimlessly wondering around. After a moment, Mirabelle’s attention was brough back into reality when Musashi once again prompted her. Mirabelle started to allow her own mind to roam around the shadowless terrain, her eyes wondered left to right. “Yea…something about this place doesn’t sit right with me…” she said, looking into the air around them. It was clear something wasn’t ok here…evident by the cracks in the literal air. Almost as if reality in this zone was beginning to…fade away. “Do you want to investigate it more or…?” she prompted the Samurai.

Musashi shook her head at Mirabelle's question. "I don't know about you, but I don't...really have the skill-set to do much here." She patted the hilt of her katanas. "I'm just a swordswoman. Unless you know or can do something else, I'm afraid I'm about spent!" she said.

Musashi kept a careful eye about her, but...all she saw was stillness. She wondered if Mirabelle was even seeing the same things she was.

Mirabelle thought about for a moment, as she heard the Nibi once more bitch about the Canopy. “Right…I need to head to investigate those undead. So…I’ll be on my way…keep in touch!” Mirabelle said, as she headed out the way.

Musashi watched as Mirabelle casually and quickly headed back in the direction of the forest. She considered protesting, giving the state she found the woman in, but...perhaps, it was for the best.

Musashi smiled a gentle smile before nodding her head, her instincts taking her a different direction for now.

She would continue on, on her own path.

Coming from #268, Research Installation.

Additionally this post contains a mission using the following Custom Storyboard Element.

Reunite with a lost loved one (C-Rank (2).

Summary: Emiya comes face to face with someone he thought long gone. After a brief reunion due to irregular circumstances, he attempts to make this reunion permanent.

From the research installation, Emiya travelled back inland, to the west, continuing to see what Kamiyasumi had to offer. Once more his every step was plaged by the ashen roots strangling the life out of the cedar forest, and anything else that drew to close. Emiya noticed a couple of the syuclents that had long since been ensnared, and wrung of all life and breath. He would have felt sympathy if not for the fact they could drain him of every ounce of blood before he knew what bit him, so that helped to ease his conscious just a little.

The forest grew darker and more enclosed with each vigorous leap through the seemingly endless trees until he came to a sudden opening. Everything gave way to a seemingly simple clearing, void of trees and vines. It would have been the perfect place to stop and take a breath, except every inhale felt... Odd... There was something about the air here that was entirely alien to the Outer Lands, and yet vaguely familiar to Emiya. It was a strange sensation he couldn't quite put his finger on, but he knew he had felt it at least once before. He waved his hand in the air before him, and could almost swear he could feel reality react to his "touch", as though it were plunged into a river. Space-time ebbed and flowed with his gestures, and it was only now did he realize what this was. Reality itself was almost in flux, similar to the phenomena that occurred within his Reality Marble. The eternal was temporarily replaced with the ephemeral, the outer world overwritten by the inner, reality became a mere fantasy, and his own to control. Why it was happening now, in this place he couldn't say, but the fact that it was, seemingly without any external influence or input from someone, was deeply concerning. It implied that reality was unstable, like back in Ganzir. was Ereshkigal failing to hold back the encroaching Void? Were he efforts worthless to begin with, and this was something else? Something unique to the Outer Lands? It was hard to tell. Emiya's mind was far too preoccupied thinking of that time, when he fought off a proper imitation of a Heroic Spirit to save what little family he had left. At that moment an image of Miyu came to mind. How the pair never got to see the ocean together, even though he promised her they would.

"Shirō...?"

A familiar voice called out to him from everywhere and yet nowhere. The source was not immediately visible until he saw something flicker out of the corner of his eye. He couldn't be sure, but the silhouette looked like...

"M-Miyu?!"

It was faint, faded out and almost entirely translucent, as though she were a ghost, but it was definitely Miyu.

"I can barely see you. What's going on?"

"I don't know, but where are you?! Are you okay?"

There was a clear and present waver in his voice, as though he were on the verge of tears. At the same time, the image of her began to fade out entirely once more, gradually appearing more and more non-existent.

"I... I'm okay!! I'm somewhere where I'm not suffering!! I've met kind people, friends I can laugh with!!!"

Shirō's eyes begin to grow wide, as the threat of tears become a reality.
They begin freely cascading down his face as Miyu tells him; His wish came true.

"I'm happy."

As her image entirely faded from view, Shirō tried with every fiber of his being to hold on to her, whether the image or idea of her, but neither worked. The last flicker of her existence here was that of a genuine smile. Now there was nothing left but the thought of her once more... He wasn't sure what exactly that was. A cruel trick of his mind? A ghost? Reality truly being unstable? He didn't know, and he didn't care. if what he saw was indeed not an illusion, or trick, and Miyu was out there somewhere, he would bring her back. Right now.

Screw the effect it would have on his body, right here and now he would sever whatever distance lay between them. Taking Tsumukari out of it's sheath, he stood before the spot Miyu appeared in, and took aim, not just at the space, but what it represented. That space was his link to her. The concept in the way was "Distance". He could visualize a great chasm between the two, and he would cut that chasm. Sever the reality that was the distance between them, and in so doing, bring her to him. He didn't care what it took. He would slice anything between them. She meant so much to him, he would even take on the Gods themselves to see her once more... Gathering the necessary Chakra within the blade, causing it to glow a faint golden hue, he swung at the space, rending space-time. But where he expected a rift to open up revealing his sister, instead reality exploded. The fabric of the world had been punctured by Tsumukari, and like a balloon, it popped. Emiya was immediately thrown back as an explosive force rushed out of the hole he had opened. It was as though something had been pressing against the veil between realities, and as Tsumukari opened the way, all the pressure that had built up was released in a single blast. As he was sent flying all Shirō could see was an endless sea of pressurized air before coming to an abrupt stop, slamming into one of the many trees forming the perimeter of the clearing, knocking the wind out of him.

(Tsumukari) – Heaven Reaching Blade
Type: Artifact
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 100
Description: Tsumukari, or the Heaven Reaching Blade, is the first katana reforged in the Armory of Marzan after the raid on Irkalla, the Underworld. The sword was reforged using the remnants of the God-Slaying Tool Blessings from the End of the World. Tsumukari is the first of a new generation of God-Slaying Tools, weapons noted to be the great “equalizers” in a cosmic conflict between the gods and man. Forging the blade was a cooperative effort between Marzan, the original engineer of the God-Slaying Tools, and his apprentice Emiya in the aftermath of the demise of the Domain of Death. Because its former iteration was rife with Void energy, Tsumukari has been endowed with unique abilities that go beyond what a standard God-Slaying Tool is capable of. On a basic level Tsumukari and the techniques it produces, be it through the sword or the sword as a proxy, contain proper Divinity to damage and slay a god. Passively, Tsumukari increases the user’s Kenjutsu techniques that utilize the sword by 30 additional damage. All the user’s Kenjutsu techniques, with the exception of those of Tsumukari’s active abilities that explicitly exclude them, gain a single range unit. Visually this appears as crescents and strikes of energy lashing out from the edge of Tsumukari, extending the range when necessary. Tsumukari is unbreakable; though its unbreakable nature cannot be used defensively alone. Use of any of the active abilities of Tsumukari puts the other two on cooldown for two turns.

Yōtō (lit. 妖刀, "Wicked Katana"): The first and most basic attack afforded to the wielder by Tsumukari. The user adorns the edge of the blade with Chakra, infusing it with trace Divinity, and performing simple slashes or piercing attacks with the sword. The user can either maintain the energy along the edge of the blade, empowering its basic attacks to inflict considerable damage for up to three attacks or five turns, whichever comes first. Alternatively, the user can consume the adorned edge and focus it into an arc of Chakra as a projectile with long-range reach. In either case, the blade strikes for 100 physical damage. This damage is treated as strong to all natures and abilities, with the only exception of Anutu and its components. Can be used four times per battle.

Will of the God-Slayer: A state activated through Tsumukari. The Will of the God-Slayer is the legacy of Marzan himself; through raw determination and human ingenuity the blacksmith forged the first God-Slaying Tool. It is an evocation of tenacity and hope, the desire for a better tomorrow by equalizing the war of today. When activated the user’s Kenjutsu prowess is further augmented, increased by an additional 20 damage while gaining an increase of three times their base speed. Additionally, any critical strikes they land with Tsumukari are increased by 30%. Lasts for four turns, can be used twice per battle.

Tsumukari Muramasa: A unique technique that emerges from Tsumukari’s unique composition between Void and Divinity. In short, this ability affords Tsumukari the power to cut causality. The technique is initiated through the user’s Chakra, costing 120, though its true cost lies in the Health Points it drains. Because the user possesses no Divinity the combination of Void and Divinity siphon the user’s health, costing the user 70 Health Points to perform. This health cannot be regenerated while in a battle unless the user possesses full Anutu or Atavistic Flame, in which case it can only be regenerated four turns after Tsumukari’s use. In the case of Atavistic Flame it heals at a rate of 50%, meaning if the user heals for 70 Health Points with Atavistic Flame it will count as 35 toward their total. In essence, when this technique is activated it becomes able to ‘cut’ causality and concepts that the user is capable of perceiving. It cannot cut the concept of ‘life,’ meaning to instantly kill another target. When Tsumukari is used like this it does not physically cut the target, rather it performs a metaphysical cut. There is no visible slash, gash, or piercing wound left on their victim, though contact with the blade is still required. Tsumukari Muramasa can cut Chakra, bonds, summoning contracts, and even Edo Tensei links. This ability can be used thrice per battle.

Reality seemed to twist and bend once more, as the air rushed back towards the point of "impact". Emiya could only watch, wheezing, as a lone silhouette stood in the clearing before him. He would have leapt at the sight, if only he thought for a second that it was Miyu. The silhouette was tall, taller than he was at least, muscular, and wielding a weapon. There was no way this was his younger sister, but then that would beg the question... Just who the hell did he summon forth? It took Emiya several moments to compose himself and reclaim his lost breath, but once he had he was back on his feet, and focusing solely on the figure before him.

Drawing closer, he noted several unique features. His skin was a tarnished crimson, as though he had been dyed in blood. Though a long pelt covered his head, bacl in color with golden fur running down each side. Long black strands of hair that reached towards the earth could be seen. Atop this he was adorned with a crown of chains, likely to keep the shroud on. In his hand an elongated slender bow wrapped in a tattered bandage. Finally, veins of white spread outward from his chest, as though he were branded by a tattoo of some kind, while across his entire body veins of scarlet energy pulsed with the heartbeat of life. One thign was certain. This was not Miyu.

"Expecting someone else?" The tarnished crimson visage suddenly dispersed into a maelstrom of shadowy fog, quickly swept away by the wind as another quickly took its place. Its voice was dripped in blazing venom, indicative of ravenous and greedy hunger as it set its golden red eyes on Emiya. What he saw was not an enemy or even a threat. He only could see prey; a piece of meat to be devoured and have its emptied carcass tossed aside into a pile of bones and rotten flesh that had been stacked for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. From his earliest days feasting on the dragons of his ancient Pantheon to the gods he had met in this world. They were all the same: food. And he hungered again. As soon as the darkness dissipated all that remained was a man that towered far above Emiya's moderate stature. A humanoid and draconic beast merged into a single entity: a Dragonkin. Basel had arrived.

"I had heard of a red haired boy who swayed Demetrias's resolve. A boy that delivered a god to King Solomon and saved a blacksmith from the clutches of Phetra," he spoke confidently as he lowered his cloak's grey hood, revealing shining golden scales, long matching hair, and fiery red eyes. "Tell me....how does someone who has traveled to the Underworld taste?" An esurient grin flashed across his face as he suddenly burst into cruel laughter as he took another step closer to Emiya.

With the wind knocked completely out of him, Emiya wasn't sure what he saw. It was there one moment, and gone the next. A trick of the mind? Hardly. He attempted to sunder space and time just to see his sister once more. There was intent behind his slash, and focus directed at a specific concept; Distance. As far as he knew, that's all that was required for Tsumukari to work. That, and for it to make contact with the chosen target, which in this case was space-time itself. There was even a tangible response, so it couldn't have been an illusion, or trick. So once again it begged the question, who the hell was that, and what exactly happened?

This was a concern that would have to be shelved, as an entirely different figure stood before him, one he'd never met before. At first he was lost on who they were, and what they were doing here, though things would become clear as soon. Despite meeting just this moment, the unknown figure displayed an intimate knowledge of Emiya, from his interactions with Enkidu and Solomon, to the actions with the other Champions in Irkalla and the events that transpired shortly thereafter. Word of his travels with the God Child were common these days, spread far and wide once Enkidu's miraculous powers were discovered, but Irkalla? The Armory? These events were not completely known to the wider world, and especially not the latter. Very few were even privy to the fact Demetrias and Emiya met within Marzan's forge, begging the question how this man knew. There was always the chance this golden figure was an acquaintance of Solomon's, but his final words were what solidified Emiya's suspicions that this mans intent was not friendly. Indeed, they were not even civil. The barbaric question of how he would taste after his experiences in Irkalla indicated this man was no friend, he was foe. Demetrias, Phetra, Nefarian. There were four Voidlords in total, and though he couldn't be completely sure, the question asked and intent on display gave the impression Emiya was face to face with the last of their number. The exaggerated evil laughter as the man drew closer helped push the suspicion over the edge. Emiya rose to his feet rather promptly given the high likelihood he would be defending himself in a moment, responding in a dry, sarcastic tone.

"You know, it's bad manners to just start rambling at someone without an introduction."

Beneath the jovial deflection, Emiya knew he was very much in trouble, not least of all because he was staring down a Voidlord. These were extremely powerful individuals by all accounts. Emiya survived his first encounter with Demetrias through sheer luck, and didn't truly survive the encounter with Phetra at all. His second encounter with Demetrias only resulted in a favorable outcome because the Voidlord was swayed by Shirō's adamant conviction. That and the fact that he kept to his word in a display of honor that was unexpected of these figures who were responsible for the collective deaths of thousands upon thousands. And in the case of Nefarian, millions perished. The fact that there was a nigh insurmountable chasm between the Voidlords and Champions who stood against them was bad enough, but Emiya was also suffering from the recoil of his prior deployment of Tsumukari, which he would attempt to hide, but was clearly suffering from. Not enough to threaten his life on it's own, but surely enough for this new figure to smell the figurative, or perhaps literal blood in the water. Whether it was the exploitation of opportune timing or sheer coincidence was unclear, but the thread posed to him was undeniable. With Tsumukari still in his hand, Emiya channeled a small amount of Chakra into a seal on his hand, causing the blade to disappear. At the same time he drew another seemingly identical sword from a scabbard at his side, one of several. In truth, the blade was a crude approximation of one, being composed of compacted osmium fragments, but it would suffice for what he intended. Though it's inherent durability was far below the required parameters for a stable tracing, Emiya overwrote the very essence of the basic blade in his hands with Tsumukari, keeping the original blade somewhat safe while not depriving himself of it's undeniable power. The blade in his hands, while at it's core was still a creation of osmium, was also now Tsumukari.

"Why don't you start by telling me who you are, and what you really want?"

(Fūinjutsu: Mu Gen no Kensei) Sealing Art: Baseless Blade Works
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Self
Chakra: 20 (-5 per turn active)
Damage: N/A
Description: Created by a fabled Blacksmith in an attempt to preserve his own creations through channeling them into lesser works so as to not ruin his own blade's with wear, tear and rust, Baseless Blade Works is a seal applied to one's body that possesses a two-directional seal. Aesthetically it takes the form of a sword tattoo, the seal's primary application is similar to that of a generic Sealing technique, allowing the the user to seal and unseal physical targets, in this Jutsu's case specifically weapons, and store them within the seal for convenience and protection. What separates this seal from the countless seals that provide the same function is the second application tied to the seal. When activated at the cost of 20 Chakra, the user selects one of their stored weapons and, should they be utilizing a weapon(s) of a similar nature, the seal identifies and targets unique aspects of the weapon and imparts that weapons properties on to the weapon held in their hands, effectively creating an "imitation" of the chosen target. This includes access to Jutsu that can only be performed through that specific weapon, abilities or techniques inherent to that weapon itself, or factors of the weapons design that make it unique, such as a specialized version of an existing weapon whose design is altered to achieve a greater/ different effect than its standard counterpart, all of these become available to the weapon(s) in the user's hands.

Naturally there are limitations and drawbacks to the properties this seal. Firstly, due to the transformational nature of this technique, to "overwrite" existing weapons with the nature of another, this technique cannot be used on weapons that already have their own abilities. The weapon in the user's hands needs to be a "blank slate" that a unique weapon can be imprinted upon, or the technique fails to produce an effect. Next, weapons receiving the unsealed properties are still bound by their own inherent/ original properties and limitations. For example, regardless of a stored weapon's durability, the weapon in the user's hands does not receive any additional defensive capabilities, such as indestructibility. Rather, when the "imitation" weapon's durability is too low (less than B-Rank in strength or durability (freeform weapons are classified as unranked), they can only maintain the imprint for a short period of time (4 turns max) before being destroyed as the enhancement turns into something more akin to a hostile invasion, causing the weapon to self-destruct. Additionally, utilizing techniques or abilities unique to a specific weapon while falling under the aforementioned durability range instantly causes this same destructive reaction. Finally this technique still requires the user abide by the rules regarding Custom Weapons and similarly restricted weapons, as well as any and all limitations the weapons themselves have.

Baseless Blade Works can last for as long as the user is willing to maintain it, provided the application doesn't expire due to the aforementioned durability factor, at a cost of 5 Chakra per turn. If an application of this technique lasts longer than 4 turns, it cannot be used for at least 2 turns once that usage ends. Finally, storage and withdrawal of weapons within this seal costs 5 Chakra per each activation, with the former costing a move when performed in combat, while the latter is always passive. Techniques used used through the imitation technique decrease in strength by a rank.

Note: Requires Advanced Fūinjutsu.

(Fūin/Ōsmuton: Futei Keijō) – Sealing/Osmium Release: Unfinal Shapes
Type: Supplementary
Rank: N/A
Range: N/A (Short)
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Unfinal Shapes is a basic, supplementary application of Osmium combined with Fūin, designed to enhance its utility to mimic the usage of Sand Ninjutsu by Gaara. By having the element itself pre-made, and kept stored in a gourd or container of some kind, it is carried on hand by the user. In order to perform Osmium techniques using this premade reserve of the element, the user only needs to flush the container with the necessary amount of chakra, and they can control the element as they see fit. This is considered an alternative method of using Osmium techniques, and thus they are not considered as passive unless stated in the original technique, and usages of Osmium techniques through Unfinal Shapes count towards usage limits. Should they choose, the user can use that same source of Osmium for another Osmium technique, and it will behave according to its new rank/power and any other properties described in the technique, simply requiring that the user expend the stated amount of chakra. Osmium techniques made from the reserves carried on the user that are neutralised in a clash with other techniques, or by other methods, will be resealed into the gourd, unable to be used for the remainder of the turn of neutralisation, as well as the subsequent turn. Use of Unfinal Shapes requires that it be posted in the user’s bio, or at the start of battle.

Basel's laughter subsided and his golden eyes flicked downward, peering deep into Emiya's. He continued stepping closer until he reached a mere two and a half meters from Emiya's position, standing there menacingly. Each step he took seemed to grow larger, though his body maintained its same physical stature. But his presence, his very aura, grew exponentially. It made the very air around him feel heavy, burdened with greed and desire. Basel's same shit-eating grin hadn't changed, if anything it had only grown wider with a greater thirst and hunger. He laughed again. "I love your kind. In the face of the most terrifying and impossible odds there isn't a hint of fear in those eyes of yours. I'm sure many before have found that feature horrifically frustrating. But you see I don't care about that. Breaking your spirit and your mind...they're so pointless, so temporary." He took one large step forward, crossing to two meters. "What do I want? I want to taste your blood, savor your flesh, and rend muscle from bone." A long pink tongue emerged from Basel's mouth, licking his lips as he bore down on Emiya.

There was no reasoning with Basel. No line of questioning that would gleam into his persona or his motivations. For he was the legacy of a broken world, a legacy drenched in betrayal, blood, and greed. He was Dragonkin. For all the world knew, or perhaps even Basel himself, he was simply there to relish in the battle and bloodshed. Among the Voidlords Basel was not a precision instrument like Demetrias, skilled arcanist like Phetra, or masterful tactician like Nefarian. Basel was a blunt object swung like a cudgel to simply break and destroy. His golden red eyes flashed with that very nature.

Suddenly Basel lunged with his right arm but with intensely magnified strength and speed. It would happen in a flash in such close quarters but Basel would grasp Emiya at the very end of his forearm just below the elbow. And in a single fluid follow-up pulled Emiya's left arm with draconic strength out of its socket and clean off his body. The sound of bone shattering and flesh ripping tore through the tranquil solitude of Last Shadow, matched only by the sound of Basel's laughter as blood splattered over the Dragonkin's body.

(Bahamūto no Haaku) - Grasp of Bahamut
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 40 + 70 = 110
Description: The Grasp of Bahamut is Basel’s emulation of the God-King’s enormous strength, obtained by feasting on his heart and synchronizing his desire to grow with the God-King’s titanic body. This technique is a fundamental Body Art that Basel can use to rend, tear, and rip open with his immense strength. It’s range increases to Long under specific circumstances where Basel’s own reach is extended somehow. The technique, should it successfully make contact and not be mitigated, can rip limbs from bodies and even tear them in half with enough strength.
Currently Basel is benefiting from an additional 42 points of speed, increasing his base level to 53. He also gains an additional 70 points of damage from the effects of CLASSIFIED.

Returning from my five minute botched cooking lesson with Basel: Here.

Basel suddenly vanished in a cloud of smoke. There was no way Emiya's technique landed, so in all likelihood he saw Emiya's condition and how easy it was to kill him in tandem with the futility in trying to play with his food any longer and left, or perhaps something more important drew his attention. It didn't really matter. He vanished as abruptly as he had arrived, and seemingly with the same reason behind the act. That is to say none. To ascribe reason to beings seeking to topple the very concept, and usher in an era of chaos through a confluence of catastrophic events was in itself foolish. Emiya was alive, and thankfully in one piece, and that's all that mattered. He was left with one small issue now and that was how swiftly his elevated state had been drained during the brief exchange. After having never relied upon Yang's peerless physical enhancements in their totality, he wasn't sure what to expect once the last dregs of the Mode were spent. It didn't take long to find out, as only moments after Basel's departure did the cloak fixed to his right shoulder expire, and the Mode along with it. Immediately Emiya was overcome with an exhaustion unlike any he'd ever experienced before in his life. Not even after his battle with the Ainsworths did he feel such an extreme loss of energy, a testament to how much physical energy is expended to enter the Mode no doubt. If nothing else, this was a lesson in having to rely upon such a frightening technique from the outset. It also spoke volumes on just how hopeless everything seemed, if he had to rely upon such a dangerous gambit to simply keep up with Humanity's enemies, and the most he could manage was to hold his ground for a couple of seconds before he would either die, or have to be saved by chance, fate, or outside forces, what good was he to anyone? "Champion of Humanity"? He certainly didn't feel like he was championing any cause right now. More of a hindrance than anything else...

Leaning against the very same tree he'd been thrown into earlier to take the burden off of his weary body, Emiya took in the sight of his scorched body and belongings. That last attack was more than heat, it completely enveloped the space, cooking him inside and out while also bending light and space around them. And that's without mentioning the completely contradictory cold sensation that was sapping his strength at the same time. It wasn't identical, but Emiya could almost feel the energy within his body be drained simply by existing within that space, as though the entropy within it was increased. If Emiya were to be considered an enclosed thermodynamic system, then somehow the chaotic forces within him were amplified, scattering the potential energies within him at a faster pace than normal, resulting in the heavily reduced duration of his Mode. It was a shot in the dark, but Emiya was familiar with the principals of Entropic Forces having used them himself, though not in the exact same way. Emiya committed this line of thought to memory, but the chances of him ever getting to act upon it again were slim. He'd proven himself an inept prey, so the chances of ever meeting the Voidlord again were negligible.

As time passed it appeared that it wasn't a fake out, the draconic man was gone for good. Emiya breathed a sigh of relief at the lack of follow up, or "double tap" to finish him off. As he sat there on the precipice of that dark dense forest he allowed himself to recover, not just from the physical damage, but also the complete turmoil his life had been enveloped in this last year or so. He was no stranger to suffering, but this was beyond belief. Maybe he was due for a break... Such a thing would be a godsend. It was a lovely idea, but reality is never so simple or clean. As he sat there, he looked out across the small field of grass, only to remember what he'd been doing before he was targeted. Looking around for the figure, the one he'd seen after deploying Tsumukari, Emiya saw nothing. He certainly would have noticed an odd figure standing within this incredibly enclosed space. Was it a trick of the mind? There was a lot he still didn't understand about Tsumukari, but he knew for sure the intent behind his slash was to erase the distance between himself and his sister, who was an unfathomable distance from him. Just like back in Tobusekai there was some unforeseen complication, and the technique rebounded. Was the problem with the very idea itself? Was it impossible to shorten the distance between the pair? Was the issue caused by the desperation and clouded nature of his thoughts at the time? There were several in rapid succession after all. Perhaps the fault was there? Emiya began slowly making his way back over to the center of the clearing, where he'd seen the vision of Miyu, when a voice called out from behind him.

"I take it you are well enough to continue your foolish endeavor then?"

A voice came from the other side of the tree he'd leant against for the last several moments. For someone to have been so close, and Emiya not even notice... Emiya was moments from death the entire time, and wasn't even aware of it. Ignorance is bliss as they say, but there was no comfort in knowing what he saw was real. Emiya leapt away from the forest's edge, stumbling as he did so, as the oddly garbed figure calmly but intently revealed himself once more. Even at a glance Emiya could tell this man, whoever he was, was dangerous. He emitted an aura of pure malice, a killing intent as potent as the sunlight enveloping his body in the middle of the clearing, and a rage that boiled beneath a barely holding facade. With a hesitant voice, Emiya called out.

"Who are y-...?"

In the blink of an eye an arrow was fired from the figures cloth-bound bow The projectile was aimed dead center on Emiya's head, but he was swift enough to pull his head back and off to the side, resulting in a grazing of Emiya's cheek as the arrow continued off into the forest, clearly destroying several towering trees as the sounds of their falling filled the air around them. An intent to kill was on full display from the man, and seemingly only kept in check by the last frayed threads of patience.

"You dare to ask me who I am?! Were you not the one responsible for bringing me here?!"

"I didn't mean t-"

"Then you are either a fool, or a liar. Neither one puts you in a favorable position with me."

Despite the words clearly being of a scolding nature, this was assuredly not a lecture. This man was serious. Though it was hard to tell from beneath the pelt atop his head, it was clear the figure was still taking in their surroundings, still trying to get their bearings as it were. Just like Emiya, they were lost as to what exactly had occurred. Emiya attempted to reunite with his sister, and instead brought forth this unknown figure with no discernible connection to him. How could something as simple as cutting the concept of "distance" go so wrong? It was the Hokubu incident all over again, only this time his actions could threaten more than just himself.

"That blade of yours reeked of the Gods. Hand it over. Now."

"Even if you could take it for yourself, the answer's no."

"If you think it safe stored within that seal, think again."

"I mean it literally won't do anything in your hands."

"You mean it is bound to your essence? That is a triviality at best, and one most easily overcome with your death.
But that you willingly allow the God's power to enter your body is far more egregious than any loyalty you pledged to them to get it."

"You're not a fan?"

"On the contrary, I find their power to be quite useful. But what matters more is I retain my Humanity.
As such, the Power of the Gods should be trampled upon, forced to submit, and ruled by the might of Man."

It wasn't entirely clear how, but this figure could tell that Tsumukari was Divine in nature. That goes beyond knowing it was a well crafted blade, and into the realm of discerning the immaterial nature of the blade itself. And that was only after seeing it for a moment, before it was sealed away. If he had an eye for that, there was definitely more to him than a "Man". It was odd though... Emiya felt a familiar sensation looking at the cloth draped over the figure's head, as well as a cloth ribbon wrapped around his arm. Even his eyes were met with nothing when he concentrated on them. This same lack of insight was all he was met with when he saw the Golden blade held by the scion of the Ainsworth family within his Reality Marble, the one that tore the dimension asunder. Perhaps this man had a similar level of insight, and the wherewithal to assume Divinity when he was met with a lack of understanding. This in itself wasn't an issue, but the fact he had set his sights on Tsumukari, and was intent on taking it? That was a problem. In Emiya's hands this was a tool that had a tendency to backfire for innocent if foolish reasons. In the hands of someone who seemingly had it out for the Gods, and no qualms about killing a complete stranger in cold blood only moments after meeting them? The prospect terrified him. The thought of calling for help from say Merlin pr Musashi crossed his mind, since he held scrolls connecting him to both, but the thought of either of them being harmed from an incident that only occurred due to his own inexperience was just as scary. No. He would face this crisis himself, and deal with the consequences alone. Worst case scenario he would open another hole in space-time to a random location and throw Tsumukari into it, removing its power from the world entirely. He couldn't unintentionally endanger the anyone if he didn't have the inciting factor between the two incidents anymore after all.

"I won't ask again."

The figure began to approach in an almost identical stride to the draconic figure had not minutes ago. Despite feeling sluggish from the Yang State, Emiya wasn't about to let a repeat happen. Emiya raised his arm out towards the unintentionally summoned figure, his palm aimed towards the sky, open as though he were expecting something to be placed within it. In an instant a flash of Prana appeared and within his hand now held a golden blade wreathed in flaming Prana.

(Busou: Kenshoushi no Seiki) – Surge of Armament: Century of Champions
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique is the most fundamental Armament technique in the Surgebinder arsenal and covers each major class of warrior. The user can summon the Noble Phantasm anywhere on the field, but it must be at least short-range away from the opponent unless the user is also inside that range. Servant rank Surgebinders can sustain the summoned Phantasm indefinitely but they will be prevented from calling forth any further Noble Phantasms until they return this one to the Throne. Heroic Spirits and above can sustain two Noble Phantasms indefinitely but will also be prevented from calling forth any further weapons until at least one is returned.

Blades of the Saber
The user will summon a sword from the Throne with a glowing metal blade that vibrates at the frequency of lightning. It is coated in and charged with a never-ending current of electricity that cannot be short circuited or insulated. The blade can be stabbed into a conductive surface such as earth, water, metal, mist, etc to release currents of electricity in every direction, that quickly form into dozens, hundreds or thousands of replicas of the metal blade jutting upwards, downwards or in any direction. This counts as a move, deals 60 damage per attack (regardless of the number of blades used) and the user is free to perform other techniques. If the user drops the blade, it can be recalled to their hand with a mental command or manipulated remotely through hand gestures in a similar manner to Lightning Blade Levitation. Upon summoning, the blade leaks prana into the user's body which renders them immune to electric shocks and paralysis. Alternatively, the glowing blade is coated in wreath of prana-infused flames which cannot be extinguished. Both the fire and the aforementioned electricity, can be used as a source for Fire, Lightning and advanced or custom elements which are energetic (e.g. Dark, Rhythm or Storm). This fiery blade renders the user immune to burns, dehydration and the effects of scorching temperatures. The blades themselves deal 80 damage on direct contact with the opponent’s body or techniques. Using it to counter a technique counts as one of the user’s moves per turn.

Spears of the Lancer
The user will summon an indestructible, two-meter long spear, staff or lance from the Throne into either of their hands. These weapons will be slightly elastic to the point they can be used for pole vaulting and will be capable of extending their length. The speed of extension will be twice the user's base speed but retracting it to restore it's original size will occur instantly. Since the weapon is not subject to the effects of gravity, the user will not be weighed down regardless of how much it increases in size. This will also enable it to fly through the air and the user can control it's movements through mental commands. The weapon will also have the have the malleability of a liquid, allowing it to change shape at will. Noble Phantasms in this class will possess the ability to enter and exit the Throne passively and instantly, taking no slot in the timeframe. Each time it disappears, an exact replica of the weapon will remain it's place, completely camouflaging it's teleportation to the naked eye. These replicas will possess all of the abilities of the original but they will only have the durability of a basic kunai. Their creation process is exactly the same as the Shadow Shuriken technique but there is no puff of smoke. It can teleport any number of times in a given turn but all the created duplicates will collectively count as one move.

Bows of the Archer
The user will summon any kind of bow as well as a quiver full of arrows onto their back. The quiver will appear with a strap that will be fastened onto the user's body. Upon contact with the bow, the user's body will be flooded with an incredible amount of prana. This will enhance their sense of sight without making them more sensitive to bright lights or intense stimuli. This increased visual acuity will allow them to see everything in the landmark they're in as well as see through clouds of dust, mist and heavy rain. This means they will be completely unaffected by such conditions present in certain landmarks. Their eyes will also become capable of following the speed of quicker targets, which translates to a tracking increase of x3. The arrows will not be subject to the effects of gravity or air resistance and so they will continue perpetually nor will they ever slow down since no energy is lost. They will also cleanly slice through basic weapons and ninja tools them without being deflected off their trajectory in the slightest. They will seek out and be drawn to targets with chakra foreign to the user's own once they are fired. When multiple sources of foreign chakra exist, they will always be directed towards the ones with the greatest concentration of chakra. Once per turn, by pulling back the bowstring and releasing it, long stream(s) of wind-infused prana will be emitted from the front of the bow. The infusion of wind chakra will give the prana distinct slicing properties, enabling them to cut straight through solid targets. This is an A-Ranked ability, will cost a move and has a long-range reach. Both the normal arrows and the streams of prana will travel at twice the user's speed.

Chariot of the Rider
The user will summon a chariot, golem, fortress or anything else that can be ridden. All of the Noble Phantasms in this class are capable of flight and can be a maximum size of twenty meters in radius. They will also be durable enough to tank one S-Rank technique per turn, whereby they will then passively regenerate from the damage sustained by the end of the turn. The golems can come in any shape or form, whether it's animalistic, humanoid, a hybrid or monstrous. Large-scale phantasms will displace the user's body in the same way as summons do if they're manifested beneath them. Earth-based phantasms will be constructed of rock and stone while Water-based ones will be made of ice. More accurately, most of the exterior will be made of ice that can't be melted and the interior will contain a large quantity of water. The water will be encased by the ice from all sides barring the top, allowing it to be accessed. The user will be capable of manipulating the earth/water for the use of techniques. The phantasm can be made of any solid or liquid material and be used as a source for Custom Element or Advanced Element techniques. This will be supplemented by their ability to regenerate, meaning the source will replenish itself upon and even during use and therefore can even be used to perform techniques larger than itself. Since it is infused with copious of amounts of Prana, it can't be manipulated by the opponent and techniques created from that source will have their strengths and weaknesses erased.

Armour of the Berserker
The user will summon an armour slightly larger than their body, made of any material, over their current attire, which will envelop them fully or partially. In the case of full body armours, by default they will not conceal the user's eyes or mouth unless specified otherwise. All armours in this class can be reshaped passively to extend weapons, limbs, spikes, tendrils, prehensile tails, hands which can perform handseals and wings capable of flight. These suit of armour will be both weightless and flexible at the joints, meaning they will not hinder the user's ability to move in the slightest. The composition of the armours makes them incredibly durable, rendering them immune to damage from A-Rank and below techniques. It can completely block/negate the damage of one S-Rank technique but this will neutralize the Noble Phantasm and return it to the Throne. The armour insulates both electrical currents and extreme heats and will also absorb the force of massive impacts or techniques. They user will sustain no fall damage, from any height, and the armour will absorb and reflect the impact of any physical strike onto the attacker. Since they are fully infused with prana, the armour cannot be manipulated by foreign chakra or energy. Only the user can use the armour as a source for techniques.

Grimoire of the Caster
The user will summon a 'spellbook' onto their person that can't be made wet, burnt or corroded. It will also insulate any electrical currents and despite it's composition, possess enough durability to sustain S-Rank and below offensive techniques without taking damage. Upon contact with the user's body or attire, the book will leak prana into them to enhance their body and ability to mold chakra. The prana infusion will render the user's body virtually weightless and lighter than air, allowing them to fly through the air while they're in contact with the book. The main effect of the infusion is that the user gains +20 damage to the element or ability of their choice (defensive and supplementary jutsu can defend against or affect jutsu one rank higher than normal). The user can perform all techniques by gesturing a single hand, as long as they're holding the grimoire in the other. These effects only apply if the user is holding it, and the effects will have to be recast if the user reacquires the grimoire after dropping it or being disarmed (although it does not cost a move or take a slot in the timeframe to do this). Once per turn, the grimoire can release a large amount of Prana that will form into shields or geometric shapes around the user. The shields can be linear walls or they can expand into 3D shapes that encapsulate the user partially or completely. The user can extend spikes, tendrils and other harmful constructions from these shields up to a short-range distance but these extensions will always remain connected to the central structure. This is an S-Ranked ability and will count as a move when used.

Masks of the Assassin
The user will summon a mask and cloak filled with daggers, which will manifest over their current attire. Both the cloak and mask are waterproof, fireproof, and will defend against freeform damage of all kinds. Every cloak and mask will possess a unique colour and design and will fit the user perfectly as each is tailor-made for the individual. Within the interior of the cloak, held in place by numerous pockets, are countless throwing daggers known as 'Black Keys'. These daggers are invisible, unaffected by air resistance, produce no sound whatsoever and are impossible to sense. Whenever they clash with or come into contact with anything, no sound is produced by the collision/contact. These daggers can be used in exactly the same manner as basic ninja tools.

"Here's my counter offer.
I'll send you back, and we both forget this happened."

"After the spectacle I just witnessed, what makes you think you are in any position to make demands of me?"

The harsh truth was this was an entirely understandable stance to have. It wasn't entirely fair how strong the Voidlords were compared to even the strongest Champion, but with no context on what one even was this individual could only see Emiya as weak. Emiya put up a facade same as he did with Basel, but it was clear he wasn't in the best state after his recent fight. Drained as he was, he wasn't just about to hand over a sword that, in the wrong hands, could spell doom for the world. Despite the fact that his last two uses of Tsumukari had somehow backfired, Emiya's intentions were unquestionable, which is why he still felt it was best left in his own hands, and why he would stand his ground, fight to protect it if he had to. As an ominous wind crept through the clearing that made up the Last Shadow Emiya knew another fight was imminent; a battle over Tsumukari and perhaps the fate of the world itself.

This post contains a mission, using the following Story Element:

Fight an enemy much stronger than yourself. (5)

Summary: After using Tsumukari in a reckless attempt at a reunion with his sister, Emiya accidentally summoned forth an unknown warrior with an odd fixation on the Divine blade, and a clear hatred for the Gods. Still reeling from his encounter with Basel, Emiya is unsure where he stands in comparison to this warrior, but they are clearly strong. Intent on fixing his mistake, he engages them with the intent on sending them back to where they came from.

Two figures stared one another down in a corner of the Outer Lands, both knowing what was about to happen, but neither one wishing to make the first move. At first there was naught but a light breeze to accompany them, the pair suspended into torturous anticipation, just waiting for the other to move. A shot from a bow, a hand seal, the slightest twitch or muscle flex to indicate what kind of move they were about to enact. Still as can be, Emiya couldn't be sure, but it looked as though the man before him was watching him expectantly, waiting for something beyond this game of cat and mouse to happen. Was it mere paranoia, or was there more to it? He shrugged the idea of, and continued the tense game of mental warfare. Seconds become moments, moments turn to minutes, and neither one had budged. Emiya still stood in the open space of the Last Shadow, and Alcides stood near the edge of the forests' domain. One would think they were statues if not for the occasional breaths they took... It would seem neither one was intent on making the first move, but then suddenly the very ground beneath their feet shook violently, an earthquake of such force and magnitude it surely shook the whole world to it's very core.

In that moment both saw this as their opponent making their move, and acted accordingly. Alcides fired another shot at Emiya, once again aiming squarely between his eyes intent on ending things with one clean shot to the head. It was almost methodical, as though he were hunting a deer, and the swiftness and accuracy he displayed during the act rivaled Emiya's own with his bow and personal style. But this time Emiya was ready for it, not only did he expect the shot, he could see it coming. Perhaps after the all too brief encounter with the Dragonkin his opponent didn't think him worth the effort to try anything else, or perhaps one shot was all that was needed. In either case Emiya felt insulted, and responded by emulating the response he imagined a certain "Hero" would. With a single seal, Emiya drew from his experiences against the Ainsworths secret weapon, and created numerous ripple-like space time distortions in tandem with portals of a similar kind that were shaped like various weapons. Emiya then deflected the arrow with the glowing blade in his hand, sending the arrow ricocheting off into the distance behind them. At the same time, the shimmering golden portals surrounded Alcides and began to bombard him from all sides in a stratagem known as "Anu's Covered Eyes". The attack left no room for an opening, nor did the attack seemingly stop for any reason, provided the portals were maintained if destroyed. To his surprise Emiya felt no such attempt at destroying the space-time distortions, even as they spewed wave after wave of weapons causing a cascading series of explosions.

(Kingusugureivu ♕ Busōko) Kingsglaive ♔ Armiger Arsenal
Type: Supplementary/ Offensive/ Defensive
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short (Portal Creation/ Orbit) Short - Long (Projectile)
Chakra: 20 (Activation) 5 (Per Turn Active)
Damage: 5 - 40 (Depending on the severity of an injury)
Description: The user starts by performing the Seal of Confrontation, drawing blood, channeling Chakra into their hand(s) and performs the Summoning Jutsu for a "Pact" they have with a distant, isolate Land engulfed in boundless armaments. However, instead of Summoning the weapons themselves, the user creates small Space/ Time Portals (similar to the kind formed in "(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop"), after which they use Shape Manipulation to mould the shape of these portals, making their general shape identical to that of the weapon the user wishes to Summon. This is done due to the sheer scope of the available arsenal, requiring the user to shape the portal to take the same shape as the visualized weapon, with only that weapon capable of "fitting" through that portal, like cutting a key for a lock. Since these portals are composed entirely of the user's Chakra, they are practically weightless, and their positioning can be controlled by the user at will, allowing the user complete control over their "arsenal" in this state. The number of Portals the user can maintain at any given time is limited to a max of 8, with the user able to freely manipulate the number of portals active at no additional cost. Because of it's massive scope, the user can draw from a virtually infinite arsenal, summoning different styles of weapons from the same type of weapon (For example, in regards to summoning a sword, one has options such as a long-sword, broadsword, rapier, falchion, katana, ninjato, etc, for this one type of weapon, with this example applying to all forms of weapon types). Once the user has selected and summoned their weapons, and have their "arsenal" orbiting their person, they can start to utilize these weapons in combat. Once the portals are directly interacted with, the corresponding weapon is automatically pulled through whether that's into the user's hand, or to deflect incoming projectiles, etc. In the case of the user directly wielding the weapon, this allows them to use the weapon as though they were physically carrying and transporting it, however, as soon as the weapons leave the user's hand/ control, or leave a Short Range radius of the user, the Summoning is immediately undone, reverts the weapon to it's previous state, and returns to orbiting the user with the rest of their arsenal. The only exceptions to this rule are projectiles utilized by ranged weaponry, for example arrows fired from a bow, which are naturally unaffected by this limited range. Finally the user can change the weapons they have with this technique by "visualizing" a different weapon and moulding the portal to fit that weapon, allowing them to switch between various weapons for radical changes in their combat style, however this can only be done on weapons that are not being directly interacted with.

Note: This Jutsu can remain active so long as the user has the Chakra to sustain it. Once deactivated, this technique cannot be used for 2 turns.
Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ.

(Kingusugureivu ♗ Jūko) Kingsglaive ♘ Arquebus Arsenal
Type: Offensive/ Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short (Portal Creation) Mid (Portal Orbit) Long (Projectile)
Chakra: 20 (Activation) 5 (Per turn active)
Damage: 5 - 40 (Depending on the severity of an injury)
Description: The user starts by performing the Seal of Confrontation, drawing blood, channeling Chakra into their hand(s) and performs the Summoning Jutsu for a "Pact" they have with a distant, isolate Land engulfed in boundless armaments. However, instead of Summoning the weapons themselves, they create small Space/ Time Portals (similar to the kind formed in "(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop"), after which they use Shape Manipulation to mould these portals into flat ripple-like distortions in the air. Being composed entirely of the user's Chakra, the portals are weightless, and key characteristics such as the positioning, distance, angle, etc of the portals can be controlled by the user at will, granting them complete control over their arsenal. Unlike with the aforementioned technique however, the portals created for this technique are far less complex and intricate, making their creation easier, allowing the user to create more as a result. The user can create and maintain up to a max of 20 portals, and is able to freely manipulate the number of portals active at will, at no additional cost. Just like with Armiger Arsenal, the user can draw from the virtually infinite arsenal that the Land provides. The portals that the user creates are linked directly to the Land, but don't select specific weapons to arm the user with. Instead the Arquebus Arsenal allows the user to draw from any kind of weapon, usually at random, partially pulling that weapon through the portal, before suspending it in place, then, at the user's command, usually with some kind of gesture or a surge in their Chakra, the portal the weapon is suspended from contracts sharply, firing the chosen weapon at the user's designated target with great speed and precision. Due to the forced contraction of Space-Time firing the weapons like projectiles, the portals emit both a bright flash, and a loud explosive sound, clearly telegraphing which portals are firing. Once this is performed, the portal then selects a new weapon, and repeats this process for as long as the user wishes, or is able to sustain it. Finally, once the weapons have made contact with something tangible, they automatically start to disappear, however this is a slow process than the almost instant reaction the "Armiger Arsenal" possesses, taking 2 turns to slowly "fade away".

Note: This Jutsu can remain active so long as the user has the Chakra to sustain it. Once deactivated, this technique cannot be used for 2 turns.

Shot after shot, Emiya kept firing, until the ground itself was littered with weapons of all shapes, sizes and types. Expecting to find the man extremely injured at the very least, instead stood there in the same spot, the ground beneath his feet unphased by the veritable armory left in his wake, was Alcides. He hadn't moved neither his position, or seemingly any muscle in his body, not even in his defense, as though they were so far below him to not even constitute actual attacks. They were, in every sense, less effective and little more than insects buzzing around him. His crimson flesh entirely unphased by each and every single weapon. Even as they struck him in the weakest locations, the neck, the abdomen, the joints, the head, there was not a single indicator that any of them had any effect whatsoever. Emiya stood there dumbfounded at the sheer durability of the man's body. In truth, while Alcides' body was in fact quite durable, the secret lay in the pelt that adorned his head. It was one made from the pelt of a Phantasmal Beast Species, one that rejected Humanity and Modernity in all forms, and thus was impervious to the attacks made by Humans and their tools. Such a beast had long since gone extinct in the modern era, and could only be found within the deepest reaches of the planet, where reality has been folded back upon itself to preserve what came before from what exists now.

First Labour: Nemean Lion
Type: Defensive
Rank: Unknown
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The pelt of the Nemean Lion draped over Alcides' face as a means of assuring that "works of man never again enter his sight." The cloth works as armor that cannot be pierced by any tool created by Humans. While worn the wearer is immune to any attacks from weapons or techniques made by "Man". Attacks outside this classification, with the exception of those carrying Divine properties, deal significantly less damage.

Despite his attacks being entirely pointless, Emiya maintained his distance and began firing yet more weapons at Alcides, while simultaneously throwing more from his Projection arsenal. He hadn't seen the weapons virtually bouncing off of Alcides' form given the explosions of force from his bombardment, so he began methodically probing at his opponent's form, aiming for these key points only to rule them out upon witnessing them fail first hand. This only reinforced the idea that this man was simply that durable, and not that the pelt upon his head was negating everything he attempted.

As more and more futile attempts were made Alcides' already wavering temper gave way to his rage, and so he began indiscriminately deflecting attacks while firing his own back, using Emiya's own weapons as projectiles. If he was going to provide so much ammunition, then Alcides was glad to return it with all the same force and fervor with which it was delivered to him. Emiya was immediately put on the defensive, deflecting and dodging one weapon after another.

"Pathetic...
Draw that sword, the one you hide within the depths of your arsenal. Then, and only then will we be equal."

Seeing the futility in a numbers game, he deactivated the Gates of Babylon causing the remaining weapons to begin to dissolve in a golden light. He still had his Projections, and his Noble Phantasms. He would not draw Tsumukari when this man has already stated an intent to claim it for his own, and implied that the very link Emiya's soul shared with it could be interfered with. Fear prevented him from using his greatest weapon, but it was fear borne from a very real possibility of handing over one of the greatest weapons to someone with ill intent. His Noble Phantasms would have to suffice. No, they would be more than enough. With the seemingly endless stream of ammunition removed from play, Alcides returned to his original strategy of firing singular arrows aimed for Emiya's head. His insistence on relying upon an attack that barely managed to catch him off guard when it wasn't expected bordered on the pathological to Emiya, and yet he continued to fire them all the same. It was almost like he was being intentionally predictable, an observation that came a moment too late when one arrow was immediately followed by another instantly, aimed for Emiya's left foot. Not only could he fire these arrows with immense power, speed and precision, but he could do so in rapid succession. Emiya shifted his foot causing the arrow to lodge itself in the ground where his foot previously was missing by mere inches, only to watch as a third arrow cleanly glided through his right thigh before he could even register the attack. A pulse of heat and pain followed by a subtle wave of cold relief he didn't understand the implication of in the moment, Emiya found himself struggling to keep weight on the affected leg. It was only a fraction of a second, yet in that time he'd been shot at three times. It was clear his opponent was capable of far more, and was still merely toying with him.

Despite this Emiya pressed on firing arcs of golden flame at his opponent, and for the first time forced the stoic figure to move. It appeared Tsumukari wasn't the only weapon in his arsenal that would make the pair "equal", or at the very least could affect him, even if it was still considered "lesser". So despite the pain now surging through his right leg, Emiya pressed on, continuing to throw Prana-infused flames at Alcides. To the figures' credit he was just as nimble as Emiya, and took every opening he could to counter with the gap narrowing significantly with each strike, but the flames would completely engulf the fired arrows, overwhelming them with sheer force or sending them to the Throne via the Prana within the flames. As Alcides' attacks grew more and more precise, honing in on the small openings between his swings, Emiya decided to take a page out of his opponent's book and shift the tempo unexpectedly. Releasing a particularly large wall of flames, Emiya used the brief window where he and Alcides' line of sight were severed to draw another of the blades at his hip just like he had done with Basel. Infusing the basic blade with the very conceptual essence of Tsumukari, causing it to take on both it's appearance and abilities, Emiya then flipped the blade into the air before punching it full force at Alcides, casting the blade towards the one who wished to see it with all his being, with all his might.

(Muramasa Ittōryū: Kyasutōfu) Demon Blacksmith One Sword Style: Cast Off
Type: Offensive/ Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank/ A-Rank/ S-Rank
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 40/ 60/ 80
Description: Although not a traditional skill of the Muramasa school, the smith had the habit of vehemently tossing works he considered imperfect. This in and of itself would be negligible if it were not for the sheer force with which he dismissed them, easily able to carve a path through stone. As such, it was immortalized in the Muramasa school as "Cast Off", a technique where one intentionally, violently jettisons their weapon towards a target, attempting to penetrate through whatever happens to be in the weapon's path. This is done through physical strength alone, requiring no Chakra on the user's part, however there is a secondary effect that this technique produces. Starting at +20, for each +10 damage points the user's Kenjutsu receives, whether through passive or active means, the sword's speed is multiplied, with the user's base speed acting as the base for the weapon. The Rank of this technique is directly tied to the damage increase(s) the user employs alongside this technique, with B-Rank being usable while the user applies +20, A-Rank becoming accessible at +30, and S-Rank requiring +40. Even if the user has a higher boost than required for a stronger application, they can opt to use a weaker application if they wish. The speed boosts associated with each Rank also naturally scale, with the B-Rank granting a x2 boost, A-Rank granting a 2.5x boost, and the S-Rank granting a 3x boost to the projectile's speed. The boosts do not need to be purely Kenjutsu based, and only require that they empower the user's Kenjutsu and follow reasonable logic. For example a boost to the user's Taijutsu that allows them to throw harder via strengthened muscles would apply, as would Elemental infusions, like a Wind Or Lightning Release infusions allowing the blade to more easily cut through the air, or Fire acting as a propellant, etc. Finally, if the user wishes to not inflict damage with this attack, they can opt to throw the weapon with the hilt aimed at the target, with the base damage inflicted being equivalent to a freeform attack, with no usage limit.

Note: Can be performed 4 times per battle, twice for the B-Rank application, and two shared between the A-Rank and S-Rank applications. Additionally, the user must wait 2 turns between uses.
Note: After using the S-Rank application, the user cannot perform S-Rank or above Taijutsu or Kenjutsu for 2 turns.

Despite being an unexpected strike, the sheer force with which it was launched with caused an easily heard thunderous boom, allowing Alcides to anticipate a sneak attack, and lo and behold there it was, fired through the wall of odd flames a veritable bullet of deadly intent. Using the stock of his bow, Alcides deflected the strike with the closest thing to effort he had exerted since the pair had begun their exchange. Though it wasn't enough to phase the seasoned veteran, for the first time he saw a shred of potential in Emiya, however rather than fear or even something resembling pride at the tactic, he could only feel yet more rage. He was furious that such potential was being squandered by the young man. He could seemingly mass produce such a weapon, and yet couldn't defeat Basel? That he would so easily be overpowered by one wielding a Divine Authority when he held such a potent weapon was infuriating. Is this what passed for Humanity's best in this land? This was why he demanded Tsumukari, for it was wasted on such a disgraceful being. A pitiful excuse for a human. His eyes trailed to both Emiya's cheek and leg, and neither seemed to show any signs of it... Odd, but not an impossibility. Perhaps it simply needed more time, or he required yet another hit. As Alcides was preparing to fire yet another arrow, his vision began to cloud and darken as it became harder to breathe. Had the forest caught on fire from the indiscriminate arcs and waves of fire produced by Emiya's weapon? With quick glances to either side, Alcides saw no signs of the forest catching on fire, and in fact only moments later did the culprit land in front of him. It was the hilt of Emiya's blade, the one Alcides had deflected, only the blade itself was entirely missing. Emiya's hand stretched out before him, eyes suddenly overcome by a silverish hue, had converted the emulated Tsumukari into a gaseous form by relying upon Heroic Spirit EMIYA's affinity for the blade's Element, causing Alcides to breathe in the still Divine-infused Osmium blade while the fragments of augmented Osmium robbed him of his vision and breath.

(Ōsmuton: Orekkusu no Chi) – Osmium Release: Blood of Oryx
Type: Offensive / Defensive
Rank: D – S
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 10 – 40 (-10 per turn)
Damage: 20 – 80
Description: This technique encompasses the creation and manipulation of Osmium in a shapeless, wispy form, resembling flowing currents of dust. The element can be created from the terrain itself, manifested within the air, or drawn from existing structures of Osmium on the field. The element cannot be made within short-range of an opponent, unless the user is within short-range, then it may be created anywhere outside of a meter from the opponent. In this state, each of the individual grains composing the technique will grind and shave away at whatever it comes into contact with. Maintaining any usage of the element beyond the turn of initial creation requires 10 chakra points per turn, with A-Rank and above applications lasting up to 4 turns. The element can be manipulated through mental control or physical gestures. The S-Rank usage may be performed up to 4 times per battle, rendering the user incapable of activating Osmium techniques in the next turn. B-rank version requires one handseal, increasing by one handseal per rank.

Emiya smiled that, for the first time he'd seemingly landed a proper hit on his opponent, even if it really was only limited to the auxiliary effects of the Osmium, and not the weapon itself. Emiya began to cautiously approach as Alcides was overcome with blurred vision and growing difficulty breathing. Knowing the effects were neither deadly, nor permanent, Emiya intended to finish things here and now. Drawing another blade from his hip he raised it above his head poised to strike, watching to see if Alcides would respond. He didn't, and instead was seemingly completely overcome by the effects of the Blood of Oryx. Seeing his opening, Emiya swapped the blade in hand with Tsumukari, and swung down, intent on cutting the concept of "distance" within Alcides, sending him home by reversing the direction. Rather than "bring them here", he cut distance with the idea of "send them back" as the focus.

The blade came down and as expected there was no resistance. The blade did not deliver a fatal strike, as Tsumukari cut reality itself, cutting neither flesh nor bone. Emiya was glad to know he could close this incident as quickly as he could... But a sudden grasp at his wrist holding Tsumukari, before the immediate sound of bone shattering beneath the sheer strength of Alcides' grip informed him things were in fact not over. There was no resistance as Alcides had moved out of the way of the slash, not because the fabric of his existence had been cut. Emiya tried to forcefully pull his arm free of his opponent's grasp, but another clamping quelled this act in it's infancy. Emiya watched in stunned silence as beneath and behind the veil Alcides' eyes were completely recovered when only a moment ago they were heavily bloodshot and void of any light. Somehow, despite no time at all passing, he had recovered his vision from the effects of Osmium. This in tandem with his now controlled breathing indicated he had completely recovered from the effects. There was no way his opponent knew of Osmium's effects, so emulating them in the moment was out of the question. He absolutely was affected by the metal, and yet now he wasn't. In that brief moment, something had occurred, but what...? Alcides gave no quarter, immediately grasping the hilt of the Divine Blade, and spoke it's name aloud.

"True Name Revealed: Tsumukari.
Trample, Conquer, Usurp: Reincarnation Pandora."

Reincarnation Pandora: Usurper of the Heavenly Wind
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Unknown
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Reincarnation Pandora is a hidden conceptual Noble Phantasm of Alcides, granted upon the transfiguration from Heracles into the Avenger-like Champion of Humanity he is today. It allows Alcides to steal Noble Phantasms to use it as his own. Described by Alcides as "usurping" the opponent, Alcides is shown to call out the True Name of the Noble Phantasm, immediately ceasing the opponent's usage of their Noble Phantasm and conferring it and/ or it's relevant effects to Alcides.

All that occurred was the release of a faint light from Tsumukari, but it was all Emiya needed to know that it was stolen from him. Whatever that technique was, it subverted the inherent bond that linked Emiya to the God Slaying Blade, and for all intents and purposes Tsumukari now belonged to Alcides. Not intent on allowing Emiya any time to process the act, Alcides then delivered a tremendously powerful kick straight to Shirō's abdomen, finally severing his grip on Tsumukari and sending him reeling through the air before coming to an immediate stop as he struck another tree. Spit and blood escaped him as he gasped for air. Looking down he saw his right forearm, mercilessly mangled beyond recognition as the skin instantly adopted a purple tone, indicating the extent of the damage done. Alcides on the other hand remained in position, testing his newly acquired blade's edge. Each slash was accompanied by a subtle yet visible "separation" of reality, whereby from certain perspectives it appeared as though the universe itself were severed in half and had begun to detach and move away from itself. The blade was so finely crafted that it could easily break down the barrier between fantasy and reality if the user so wished. It was transcendental. As Emiya began to raise to his feet, Alcides addressed him.

"If you give up now I will allow you to live. This was a most fortuitous encounter, and I am feeling generous."

"Give it back..."

"Very well."

Alcides gave respect where it was due, Emiya would not back down, nor allow him to keep the sword without some final futile attempt at retaking it, but his patience was at it's end. One would think displaying his sheer might in one singular strike would be enough to deter the youth, but he was that kind of person. The ones who proclaimed at every chance they could that they would never back down nor go back on their word. Admirable to a fault, but a faulty being nonetheless. Alcides confidently strode towards Emiya with the same intent to finish things, though not in as peaceful a manner as Emiya had. As he did, he revealed the truth that Emiya never stood a chance, though he was not referring to the kick.

"It's a wonder how you are still able to breathe or stand. You are either more resilient than I gave you credit for...
Or you are ignorant to the reality that this farce was decided from the moment you earned that first scratch."

With his good arm Emiya raised an open palm in his direction and erected a barrier around Alcides, one that would hinder his movement and return some Chakra to Emiya's spent reserves, while giving him time to plan his next move. As his opponent momentarily came to a stop Emiya was relieved, but then watched in confusion as a red aura emanated from his opponent's body, and his movement continued unphased. At a glance he was possessed of strength sufficient enough to completely resist the crushing force of the barrier, though the source of that strength was entirely alien to Emiya. In fact after a moment it hit him, there was no Chakra returned to him from the little time Alcides had spent within the barrier. The physical force affected him, but not the draining. He seemingly had no Chakra, but was as strong as, if not stronger than many people Emiya had met in his life. Who, or what was he that he could increase his physical attributes without expending Chakra?

(Tajū Mugen Hōyō ) - Multiple Infinite Embraces
Rank: A-Rank
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30 (-100 to the target per turn, +100 to user per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique is a stronger version of Infinite Embraces and is used basically in the same manner. The user will do the Tiger → Dog → Horse → Dragon → Boar hand seals and slam his hands on the ground, creating a bigger barrier than the original technique but similar in its essence which drains the target's Chakra but also pushes down on them making it much harder to break free. The massive pressure the technique puts on the target prevents the target from moving unless it has some sort of enhanced strength ability, making it very difficult to break free from it. Unable to move, the targets are also unable to mold Chakra above A-Rank while having his Chakra drained. The barrier can only be broken by A-Rank techniques or above or by attacking the user.

With the barrier entirely ineffective, and his opponent reaching him in no time at all, Emiya was out of options. There was always the option of running, but that still left Tsumukari in his opponent's hands, something he couldn't do. There had to be some way out this, a way to reclaim Tsumukari and send this man back to where he came from. There had to b- Alcides approached and with no fanfare cut into Emiya's essence. Tsumukari cleaved Emiya's causality, though he wasn't dead. The concept Alcides was curious to sever was whatever was preventing the poison from affecting Emiya. And with that, Emiya's connection to the Throne had been severed, albeit not intentionally. Reality rewrote itself to accommodate this change, and while in one moment the ambient Prana within his system protected him from the poison applied by the arrow that grazed his cheek and thigh, in the next it did not, for it was not there. In mere moments their positions were reversed, and now it was Emiya slumping to the ground gasping for air, his vision rapidly fading. That's what the cold sensation he couldn't place was. The Prana within him was responding to some poison coating the arrows used by Alcides, and while it took care of it in the moment, it was still present around the wound, constantly seeping in and attempting to affect him while his Prana constantly rejected it. He truly had been done for from the outset, his opponent merely needed the means to remove his defenses, and he delivered it to him on a silver platter. That's why all of his attacks included little to no effort relative to his actual strength, of which Emiya still didn't have an accurate measure of. They would have been a wasted effort come the poison kicking in.

Poison of the Lernaean Hydra
Type: Supplementary/ Offensive
Rank: Unknown
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Said to be capable of instantly killing any human it touches, the Poison of the Hydra was a monstrous tool utilized in the unknown era of the alien land where Alcides hails from. The poison of the Lernaean Hydra is far more potent, capable of inflicting pain even upon the Gods themselves, with the Beast itself a world renowned monster, even among the Twelve Labors of Heracles. There is no cure, thus, regardless of means, those affected by this poison are destined to die an excruciatingly agonizing death.

Content with testing the blade's capabilities and knowing they were far more effective than he expected, Alcides disregarded Emiya's existence from that moment forward. The poison was a death sentence, one that could not be healed through any conventional means known to man, and would kill him within minutes. There was no need to gloat nor further flaunt his victory. The poison was enough to communicate everything he felt. He gave Emiya his one chance to forfeit, and he rejected it, so this was ultimately his own fault.

It took everything he had not to immediately give in to the pain of the poison, but Emiya managed to put on his Mask of the Hornet ninja tool to get an idea of what was coursing through his veins. As the various sensors suspended from the back of the helmet made contact, a number of displays flashed on screen and all of them containing various warnings and alerts. Dangerously elevated heart rate caused by extreme tachyarrhythmia, respiratory failure, soon to be complete total organ failure, temperature in excess of 40°C, suspected Botulinum or Dendrotoxin poisoning, medical assistance required immediately or death would be imminent. By all accounts, he was done for, just like his opponent had warned. He looked down at his crushed wrist and knew seals were out of the question. Even attempting something with such a completely and thoroughly destroyed limb was pointless. There had to be something, some way to undo this. Emiya looked up at his opponent, who was now sauntering off into the distance. How did he recover from the effects of his Osmium so quickly and absolutely? Emiya took one last look at the man in desperation, passed the raw strength and towards what drove him forward. With a pained cry, he declared; Trace On...!!and in so doing, saw the man once known as Heracles' life's story. As countless images of a life full of suffering and betrayal played out before his eyes, Emiya saw what it took to reach such an apex of raw strength. A concept he was more than familiar with; Sacrifice. Emiya had found his answer.

This post contains a mission, using the following Story Elements:

Survive a near-death situation. (5)
Experiment with very Advanced fields. (5)

Summary: After engaging with the unknown warrior Alcides not only has Shirō's strongest weapon, Tsumukari, been stolen, and his connection to the Throne has been severed by that very same weapon resulting in a fatal poisoning as the protections his Prana afforded him are no longer active. In a fit of desperation Emiya turned his attention to his opponent after witnessing their nigh instant recovery from a similar affliction. After witnessing their lives flash by he came to one conclusion. To win he'd need to sacrifice something, potentially everything, to stop this threat he's unleashed upon the world.

Countless alerts rang out falling upon rapidly deafening ears paired with flashing lights and blurred words imperceptible to deteriorating vision, sensors that hung from the back of the increasingly weighty helmet searing his skin with each subtle shift from the smallest of motions, pulses of pain shooting through his entire body emanating from two spots upon his body; the cheek and thigh. Shirō was poisoned. The natural immunity his Prana had been providing him was gone along with his connection to the Throne, severed with no hope of recovery without the reality altering blade Tsumukari. Shirō was slowing rising to his feet, fighting against every fiber of his body telling him he was too weak to continue, too wounded to stand a chance, to win. Rising all the same, he stumbled slightly when he absentmindedly tried to right his balance by propping himself up by pushing off his knees. His right forearm had been completely crushed beneath the sheer strength of his opponent's grasp when they stole the reality-cleaving blade, and in the midst of everything else, every other part of his being screaming out in agony, he momentarily forgot that that one part had been so thoroughly destroyed.

His vision centered back on the display flashing before his eyes, countless warnings to seek medical advice, or administer some incomprehensible combination of various medicines he didn't have. His vision drifted down towards the part of the helmet's display that indicated his remaining Health and Chakra values. He hadn't even used that much of the latter, but the former? From the looks of things? He was screwed. The red bar was rapidly deteriorating. The Mask calculated the current loss rate of his health at somewhere around 13.71%, increasing steadily. At best he had a minute, though realistically judging by how rapid his breaths were becoming, it was seconds. Each laborious inhale filtered through the utterly ineffective systems within the helmet to avoid such a fate. It was such a silly thing, watching a series of numbers get lower with each painstaking second, knowing that they represented how much time he had left. It wasn't supposed to be like this... It wasn't... He couldn't... The loss rate shot up to 21.31%, and was still climbing... He looked over at the triumphant Alcides, walking away with his grand prize. How did he do it? Overcome the Osmium he'd forced into his lungs and eyes, robbing him of sight and breath? There had to be some trick to it. Some way out of this. Some way to avert the death sentence he'd been handed. Another warning, "Loss rate increasing exponentially. System Overloaded." Emiya watched as the warning leapt from 30% to 60% in the space of a single breath, fixated upon the minute detail so intensely it threatened to consume him. One last time he looked upon Alcides, and in a moment of sheer desperation and inspiration in equal measure, he called out;

Trace on...!!

Visions of a life not his own played before him, one of a man blessed with natural ability, and the God's favor. Raised in humble origins, he earned the God's respect after overcoming a dozen trials, and ascended to Demi-God status. This was the story of the "mighty Heracles", but it was a front, the story the world wanted to be told. In truth, his was a life of infinite hardship. He watched countless people betrayed by the very Gods they prayed to, toyed with as though they were their personal playthings. In a fit of rage influenced by a supposed God of Families murdered his own wife and children with his own hands. His was a life of constant trials, and one day he'd had enough. He stole the power of the Gods for himself, and took down the Pantheon to which he once pledged his life. He trampled them under his heel without mercy, and snuffed out their self-serving ideology. His was a strength acquired through a life of never-ending sacrifices, and that's what it would take to defeat him. Seeing the answer before him, Emiya gathered an incredible amount of Chakra, and spread it throughout his body. It would take everything to overcome this "trial". As the warning announced loss rate was 95.52%, he declared through grit teeth as every cell in his body was overcome with an indescribable, alien sensation;

"Everything will be corrected."

(Kinjutsu: Θυσία) Forbidden Technique: Sacrifice
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Self
Chakra: 250
Damage: N/A
Description: Sacrifice is the fundamental technique of the Fighting Style with the same name, and is a Forbidden Technique that allows the user the expenditure of one's own life. The user starts by gathering an extremely large amount of Chakra throughout their entire body, which is then expended to activate the latent energy within every cell, effectively acting as a "limit remover" for the body itself, allowing for the cannibalization of the user's lifespan. This allows the user to access to an additional pool of energy separate from their Health and Chakra from which they can utilize the techniques of the Sacrifice Fighting Style. This "Life Pool" encompasses the physical energy that constitutes their entire life, and as such is equivalent to 10x their Health Pool. If the user has sustained any damage upon activation, this damage is reflected in their Life Pool as straight deductions from the total, and any damage sustained to the user's health is also deducted from this total, following the inner workings of the Fighting Style. Once activated this technique cannot be undone, and remains active for the remainder of the fight it is utilized within. Upon activation the user's body can adopt a cosmetic change, primarily composed of a red aura, their skin becoming a deep shade of red, or streaks of yellow, orange and reddish lightning emitting from their form. This technique can be active from the start of battle, in which case the Chakra from this technique is deducted from their starting total. Regardless of whether it's active from the start of a battle, or activated during it, it's activation is passive.

Emiya had entered the realm of the unknown, operating purely off on instinct, playing with concepts and forces he had no right to. He glimpsed the barest essence of his opponent and rolled the proverbial dice. From the moment he activated the technique, his mask's display stopped functioning properly, displaying a number of errors, such as an inability to calculate the loss rate, his current health or anything about himself really. In short, it was malfunctioning as his body was no longer operating under natural laws that govern it. What would normally be a set value was now in a state of flux. As he took one last labored breath under the weight of the poison, he flipped the coin and watched with bated breath, hoping it landed on heads. In an instant every cell within his body rapidly aged beyond the point that he was poisoned, the natural decay and regeneration cycle of his body accelerated so much so that each and every poisoned, wounded or dead cell within his body was replaced. Each of those affected cells were instantly replaced, effectively "curing" and healing him but only by a technicality. He'd cannibalized his lifespan, sacrificing years of his life, but in return? He wasn't done. Not yet.

Alcides stopped his stride to turn and witness Emiya not only alive, but standing. He didn't want to acknowledge it, but considering he'd stolen Emiya's weapon mere moments ago the likelihood that his own technique had somehow been copied was greater than zero. The arm he'd crushed within his grasp completely healed, along with the effects of the poison that should have robbed him of all strength and sight, but that wasn't all. There was a light in his eyes he didn't like the look of. A spark of hope. The real question was how he knew what to do with it. Even if it were possible to steal "Θυσία", the chances of actually knowing what to do with it, and successfully at that? He was gambling with his very life. His chances were better with the poison, as messing with the natural order and failing resulted in a fate worse than death. It didn't matter however. Emiya had recovered, and yet he was still vulnerable. His protections were still gone, that much was absolute. Tsumukari was absolute. Alcides would play this game for as long as it took, and he would win. Even if Emiya recovered from the poison ten times, Alcides could simply apply it eleven and watch Emiya succumb that one final time. He would run out of life to sacrifice eventually. Nothing about fast forwarding his body's relative time could narrow the chasm between them, the difference in their abilities was just that vast, and therein lied the risk inherent to "Θυσία". Tricking the user into believing they are invincible so long as they have life left to expend, that they can overcome any obstacle if they just gave that little bit more. "Heracles" had seen so many fall victim to it's addictive grasp before. Throwing themselves into dangerous situations, believing themselves Gods, seeking renown and the Gods favor by giving up their lives little by little... Before they knew it, whatever life is left to them is so short it wasn't worth it. Worth the fighting. Worth the fame. Worth living. Better to relieve them of their burden than let them suffer. With this altruistic intent in mind, Alcides fired another shot at Emiya.

The thunderous pulses of pain crippling his mind and body had faded, clarity restored not just to his sight, but his sense of self. No longer did he feel the breath stolen from his lungs before the thought of it had even been made, no longer did a venomous sting bite at his every muscle, nor have to struggle to make out the vaguest shapes of his surroundings. He could feel his wrist, whole again, and stronger than ever. It felt great. Shirō felt great. Better than he had in months. It wasn't simply the inside that had changed though. Outside subtle but noticeable changes had taken place. He was taller, but only slightly. He appeared slimmer, more refined, his muscles more toned, yet only slightly. His hair that little bit longer that those he knew him would need a second glance to know it was in fact him. This was the Emiya Shirō of five years in the future, and with the subtle cosmetic changes came the accumulated experiences of that time. Spitting in the face of the very world itself, Emiya watched as yet another poisoned arrow was shot at him, this time aiming center mass, with more power than precision that the previous projectiles. Where before Emiya would be frozen by indecision, or hesitation, or panic or fear, things were different now. He side-stepped the arrow, grabbing it as it passed, and returning it with a concentrated lob. As the arrow left his hand, a flash of red escaped his grip as he placed several minutes worth of strength behind the throw, sacrificing a smaller portion of his life to see what the end result would be. To his surprise, minutes amounted to very little. A minor increase in the action's strength, if any. Sacrifice a lot and receive a lot in return. Give less, and you receive less. It made sense, and gave Shirō an idea of what to expect moving forward.

Alcides watched as his shot was caught and returned, rather deftly too. It was almost impressive if it weren't so foolish. One mishap and he was poisoned again, though Emiya was clearly being careful to stay away from the arrow's head. Alcides casually batted the arrow away with his bow, not even dignifying the attempt at using his own attack with a proper counter. He glanced at the arrow as it ricocheted off to the side wondering if there was anything more to the response, but there wasn't. Pity. The promise of retaliation was made but not kept. He returned his attention back to his quarry. It was only lost a fraction of a second, and yet it was enough judging by the foot inches from his face. Emiya had, in that small window where Alcides' attention was on the arrow, performed another sacrifice. Roughly six months were expended to close the gap between the two, all of the strength and speed that he would have found within those six months converted and converged into a singular point in time, one burst of strength and speed and all of the experiences that would have been gained if he'd lived through that time, all focused on one singular action; Taking Alcides down.

The attack was simple. Shallow. Weak. It would not pierce his skull, nor remove his head, nor damage the brain in any significant way. Regardless of it containing more force than it would under normal circumstances, the kick wouldn't kill him. It was still only just a kick. Nothing more. It was an insult to think he could get away with holding back, with thinking he could do such simple attacks and hope for any outcome where he emerged the winner. There was no intent to kill, and thus victory was forever out of his grasp. That was the way the world worked since antiquity, no matter which world Alcides was now in. With the kick being shallow, only aiming to at best knock him around, all it took for Alcides to avoid it was to rear his head back. It wasn't even a panicked retraction, more of a bemused bored sigh in the form of a physical movement. Emiya's foot sailed passed his face, and Alcides struck back with Tsumukari, not even feigning interest in using the blade's true power as he aimed to cleave into Emiya's back. Despite intuiting Tsumukari Muramasa after witnessing Emiya deploy it, there was still much he didn't know about the blade, namely the recoil the blade inflicted upon use of the reality-warping strike. It didn't affect Alcides as much as it did Emiya thanks to his Divinity from his various artifacts and trophies from his trials, but it was still there. A subtle weakening of his constitution, fraying at the seams of his existence almost. The blade could enact miracles, but at a cost to the user, just like the sacrifices Emiya was toying with. The parallels between the two were clear, with the only clear difference being their stance regarding the Gods. Alcides hated them, placing Humanity above them with no room for flexibility. They were monsters and dictators, to be trampled under heel, and whose power was a boon to serve his own interests. Emiya was more open, though he'd never openly admitted it. He'd fought beings that used their power for evil purposes, and of course there was disdain for them, but he also saw the good in them. In Enkidu, whom learned from his lessons and mistakes. In Ereshkigal who showed him that even a Goddess of Death can cherish life. There were "good" Gods, who he knew personally cared about and for Humanity. To write them all off as enemies was a disservice and detriment to man and God both.

Emiya saw the blade's edge lash out at him, or rather, beyond him. Retreating beyond the reach of the sword would not work, as the slash would leap forward from the blade and strike regardless, so it had to be avoided as though it's was thrice as long as it was. Simple in theory, but keeping atop it in the midst of battle as an ongoing concern was a trial in itself. He could spend so much time and effort avoiding Tsumukari that he could get snuck by another poisoned projectile, or any number of other tricks his opponent had up his sleeve. It was surprising how little he had actually done, despite how far into a corner Emiya was driven. The now former Surgebinder had taken things too lightly, was too lax, and yes, just as his opponent thought, wasn't treating this like it truly was; a fight to the death. As though a switch were flipped Emiya's body began to give off a subtle white hue, especially around his eyes and hair. Time had progressed for him, thus he felt more at ease using the skills and abilities of his future self, as for all intents and purposes he was one step closer to becoming that man. All at once his body knew exactly how to respond to the slash, avoiding both the blades' edge, as well as the continuing slash which managed to cover a fair amount of the space available in the clearing. There was little room for error, and his body responded to that room perfectly, retreating from the advancing blade by dropping beneath it.

(Migatte no GokuiChō hon'nō) Mastery of Self-MovementUltra Instinct
Type: Supplementary/ Defensive
Rank: N/A
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: An advanced Taijutsu art, based on the martial art of "(Mushin) Empty Mind", a mental state where the body reflexively reacts without the need of having any specific input from the practitioner, resulting in such refined levels of instinct and intuition to a level where they can respond to any threat without the need for thought. This is achieved via an intense level of training, wherein one is endlessly bombarded with incredibly fast, yet weak strikes, until they eventually grasp the concept of "self-movement", where each part of the body seemingly acts independently of the user's own will. It teaches one to abandon the practice of "thinking before moving", and simply initiate "moving without thinking". This is incredibly useful, as messages from the brain can only move through the nervous system to one's body parts so fast, subsequently losing precious time in combat that add up with every consecutive movement and action. This technique does not increase, or grant any kind of additional boost to the user's movement, tracking or reaction speed in any sense. Instead, it is akin to an automated defensive stance that allows the user to effectively negate any incoming physical attack that they can, visually or otherwise, register, without actually thinking about performing the actions. The body moves, almost as if on it's own accord, to respond to incoming attacks, and attempts to negate, redirect, or counter them in the most logical manner, before proceeding to intercept the next attack. A perfect idiom to describe this stance is "The lights are on, but no one is home", as the user is clearly responding to external threats, yet doesn't always seem entirely "present". One of the many benefits to this technique is that it is purely physical, and, by it's very nature, requires little to no input from the user themselves, especially in regards to their Chakra flow. As their body is reacting instinctively, rather than with directed motions and a proper input from the user themselves, they're free to use their heads to perform other actions, such as analysing attack patterns, potential weak points, and formulate and initiate proper counter attacks, etc. There are significant drawbacks to this technique as well however as, by it's very nature, it can only allow the user's body to react to actions and attacks that they can witness. This means the user cannot use this technique against attacks faster than they can track or logically register due to speed, but also attacks of a deceptive nature, or attack the user in some unregisterable manner, such as attacks that cannot be physically seen, like "Frog Kumite", or attacks that strike outside the user's field of vision. However, in the case of techniques that are directly applied via physical actions, such as in the case of a Shinobi driving a Rasengan into the body of their opponent, the user can divert this incoming threat by redirecting the physical motions of the opponent's strike, "countering" the Rasengan without making physical contact with it, or even ending the technique. [ ] Finally, entering into this stance does not constitute the usage of one of the user's 3 Jutsu per turn, however, if this technique is used to defend against another Jutsu, every instance of a successfully defended technique does consume one of the user's allotted Jutsu from their next turn. When used to defend against freeform actions and movements, no Jutsu slots are consumed. This can, in most cases, force a stalemate in close-quarters combat centric fights, as neither party gains any ground, or inflicts damage upon the other.

Note: Can only be used for a max of 3 turns, and user must wait 3 turns between usages.
Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ, and can only be used by Biographies with a Taijutsu specialty.

A faint line disconnecting reality appeared once more as a result of the blade, indicating the instability of reality both in this space, and as a whole due to events neither party were aware of taking place in the Dead Sea far to the West. But neither knew what was the cause or result of the prior earthquake, and thus continued their fight. Emiya knew he was still unable to access the Throne, and thus his weapons short of the ones at his side, but seeing how ineffective they were previously, he decided he would simply play the role of weapon. From his low position Emiya performed an attack akin to an uppercut, though not with a balled fist, but an open palm, the outside of the hand aimed towards Alcides. His body was coated with innumerable tiny blades converting it into one itself. Each part of his body it's own blade, from the tips of his fingers to the soles of his feet. But regardless of how he did it, it was an attack made by the hands of a human. The shroud atop Alcides' face not only physically intercepted the strike, but also conceptually. No matter how hard, or where he struck him, Emiya's attack could not affect him. Only with the God Slaying Tool did he even stand a chance.

(Tabi no Katana nashi) Journey of the Swordless
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 30 (-15 per turn)
Damage: +20 to All Kenjutsu/Taijutsu based Techniques.
Description: Journey of the Swordless is a technique which is always active for those who practice the art of Kyotoryu. Being active from the very beginning of battle, Journey of the Swordless is classified as a passive technique to all those who wish to utilize it. While most Kyotoryu techniques do not require this, Journey of the Swordless is meant to enhance the users Kyotoryu techniques to their maximum, by sacrificing a real sword in the process.

To start, the user coats their entire body in a tiny, razor sharp layer of chakra, which looks very similar to the Medical Scalpel technique, to activate this technique. Once active, the user become a human blade, as all their strikes carry the same cutting potential as any regular sword, by being enhanced by their razor sharp chakra. Another benefit to this technique, is that the razor sharp chakra around the users body allows them to bypass wind resistances, allowing their strikes to also be much faster than when performing techniques with an actual sword. Another benefit of this, is that due to the wind resistance being removed from their strikes, while also gaining speed, all the users kenjutsu gain additional damage, by having any wind resistance removed, the strikes carry more weight, striking much harder and with more maneuverability than one could perform with a regular sword. However, the damage bonus is further increased when utilized with Kyotoryu techniques, as these techniques are specifically created for the fight style, adding Journey of the Swordless on top further empowers them, allowing the unique movements of Kyotoryu fighting style to be even more deadly than usual.

However, while this technique seems strong, the largest drawback is the user loses their ability to hold a sword. The chakra around the users body will destroy any sword hilt it comes into contact with. Even with indestructible blades, the hilt of the sword will be rejected, forcefully pushed out of the users hand if he tried to wield a bladed weapon. This is only the case for swords however, other objects, like Staffs, can be wielded, but any techniques requiring a Staff will Not gain any benefits from this technique.

Restrictions:
Must be posted in the users bio if they wish have it passive from the start of battle. Chakra cost can be paid to activate it during battle.
Once activated, the users Arms, Legs, Head, and even torso become a replacement for any Technique that requires a sword.
Due to the nature of the chakra, the user cannot wear any armor, nor can the user wield a sword of any description. However the user is able to wield non bladed weapons, but those weapons will gain no bonus' from this technique.
Any jutsu the user users, such as Earth Armor, will have its defenses Reduced by -20 if used over top of this technique. However, this only applies to techniques that attach to the users body, techniques such as Susanoo, will be unaffected.
This technique can be used by Samurai, following all the same restrictions as regular uses. However, as the user cannot wear armor with this technique active, it cannot be used with Bushido, however SSS and Iaido can be used in conjunction.

Alcides watched as Emiya reacted to the slash almost flawlessly, the doubt and weakness that had been emanating from him until now completely erased as his features began giving off a tarnished silver hue. There was a clear change in form since his sacrifice, but that wouldn't change who he was in any significant sense. For there to be any change beyond physical, something else had happened, something internal. If it was something Emiya was always capable of, then he made the conscious decision not to utilize it before now, which only added to the Demi-God's ire. The follow up strike was less impressive. A chop-like motion that achieved nothing. The pelt made sure of that. His heads would never reach, no matter how hard he struck. Sheer and utter futility was all Emiya's actions amounted to, and yet he still believed he could, what? Reclaim the weapon? Defeat Alcides? Delusions, nothing more. A pulse of red danced across his skin as the warrior as he lashed out again with more effort and a sincere attempt at killing Emiya, and for the second time Emiya avoided the attack almost flawlessly, only requiring the subtlest shifts in his weight, and millimeters in stance to achieve perfection. Once again Emiya lashed out, this time in a series of strikes alternating between his arms and legs, pulses of red visible beneath the white aura almost making him appear to have a pink aura at times. Back and forth the pair went, Emiya's body clashing with the God Slaying Tool, somehow keeping up with it blow for blow. The answer was in Emiya's unique skills Reinforcement and Alteration, strengthening and increasing the length of the blades, appearing more like a sea of blades jutting from his body than a coating now. It wasn't a reality shattering blades that could fell Gods, nor was it any legendary famed blade, Emiya himself was the weapon, and each clash carried the risk that his opponent would deploy Tsumukari Muramasa again, cutting any number of concepts. One mistake, dumped atop the pile of errors he'd already made, and it was over.

(Hokyō) Reinforcement
Type: Supplementary/ Offensive
Rank: C-Rank - A-Rank
Range: Short - Long (Depending on weapon)
Chakra: 20 - 30 (or 15, -5 per additional turn)
Damage: 40 - 60 (or +1 Rank or +20)
Description: Reinforcement is a simple Ninjutsu technique that utilizes the boundless potential of Raw Chakra to "Reinforce" the conceptual design of a weapon or tool. Similar to techniques that utilize Raw Chakra to increase the durability of a weapon to facilitate higher damage upon a target than a regular freeform strike would, the user Channels Chakra into their chosen weapon. The user is not exclusively increasing the durability of their chosen weapon however, rather they are "reinforcing" it by enhancing an aspect of it that helps it better achieve it's function. For example, the user could increase a weapon's sharpness to achieve a better cut, or it's air resistance to perform a quicker, cleaner cut, or increase the hardness of a blunt weapon to facilitate a harder impact. In other words there are many avenues one can take to Reinforce a weapon or tool, and it is down to the user to decide how to achieve it.

Because of it's open nature, this technique has two applications. The first utilizes the "Reinforced" aspect to perform a single attack with the chosen weapon, is equivalent to B-Rank in strength and cost, and is naturally confined by the inherent nature of the weapon itself, such as its reach, and thus range. The user can push their reinforcement a step further for this application, achieving an A-Rank usage, with the associated costs, damage, etc, but can be performed a max of 4 times per battle, and cannot be used again for at least 1 turn. The second is for a supplementary boost to existing techniques that utilize weapons. This allows the user's weapon to instead gain a +1 Rank or +20 damage boost for up to 4 turns due to the reinforcement, provided they pay an additional 5 Chakra per every following turn. This application is C-Rank in regards to cost, and again is naturally confined by the technique performed through the user's weapon. Finally, once this application ends, the user can't perform it again for at least 2 turns.

(Henkō) Alteration
Type:
Supplementary/ Offensive
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Self
Chakra: 20 (-5 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Using the foundation provided by (Hokyō) Reinforcement, the user goes beyond simply "reinforcing" what a given weapon or target is good at and alters it, creating something new, something better. This is achieved through the same method of applying the boundless creativity found within Raw Chakra, enhancing the target beyond it's base capabilities like with Reinforcement. Though this technique is not solely limited to the alteration of weapons, it is it's intended application, allowing the user to extend the natural reach (Note: Not range.) of a blade, or increase the surface area of a blunt weapon, etc. In all cases, while the effects can be substantial, the underlying weapon remains unchanged, and will revert to it's previous, unaltered state after 4 turns, or a direct clash with a technique of equivalent Rank. While active, the Alteration is maintained at a cost of 5 Chakra per turn. In a more broad sense, it allows the user to enhance and extend the basic capabilities of their techniques, such as altering the heat within a Fire Release technique to cause them to burn brighter, or apply a rigged, spiked surface to a typically flat Earth Release technique. This equates to a universal increase in Rank, +20 damage and/ or +10 effective Chakra where applicable, with the logical changes those increases entail for the user's technique(s).

Note: Can be performed once per turn, and in the case of Altered weapons, requires a 1 turn cooldown after the effect ends, may be used four times per battle.

Back and forth they went, and with each clash they came closer to a conclusion to their confrontation, the fine line between life and death narrowing and sharpening each time the pair crossed blades, both believing themselves one step away from victory. As a reward for his Twelve Labours Alcides was blessed with the lives of twelve men. If he were to die, he would effectively resurrect from death, regardless of the circumstances of said death. In addition to this, for his bravery the Gods decreed that he could not die by those same means ever again. He lost his first life to Sacrifice, and thus through a loophole became effectively immortal, as he could never die through old age, especially one born from Sacrifice. This was the secret behind his nigh infinite strength. Each time he clashed with Emiya he pressed that little bit harder, struck more violently, swung the sword that little bit faster. It was death by a thousand cuts, and Emiya was turning into s pincushion, slowly running out of time to reclaim Tsumukari. He also didn't have the benefit of an effectively infinite lifespan. He'd burned through several years of his life over the course of the fight with no end in sight. He could burn more lifespan to push for an instant resolution, but if Alcides were to match him that time would be gone for nothing. It was a losing battle without Tsumukari but at the very least he was still fighting. He could have died from the poison, and that'd have been that. There was still a fight left to fight. Sadly it didn't remain that way for long. Emiya, now the spitting image of his future self in all but mind, had reached his limit. Time and time again he pushed against the veritable tide of Alcides' attacks, but he was pushed back, and the warrior's inexhaustible stamina and life force won out in the end. Looking to his helmet's visor, barely functioning after being shattered in the previous exchanges, it had begun showing definitive statistics once again, indicating he'd reached the end of his tether. His struggles amounted to nothing, not even attempting to remove the pelt had worked, and Tsumukari was still tightly gripped in Alcides' hand. He fended off a final few attacks before even his Mind's Eye had reached his limit. His body began screaming out in agony as the accumulated debt of it operating by itself, by forcing itself to move in the name of self-preservation, had itself too reached it's limit. Life and body spent, there was nothing left. No tricks left. Alcides approached, Tsumukari in hand and had broken the tense silence between them.

"What was that about correcting everything? Your words are worth no more than your actions, which have availed you naught. I tried to warn you, to give you a swift, conclusive death, but you refuse to see reason. What must I do? What horror must I inflict upon you to force you to awaken to reality? You cannot win. You know this.

No... I see it now. You are so adamant in your refusal to see reason, to give up and die that there is no reality in which accepting death is a possibility to you. Even now you believe victory is an option to you, even though you have burned away your own lifespan. You cling to the hope that death is a reality that you can escape.

So the answer is clear. I will make death the only reality left to you."

As Emiya thought about the implications of what exactly his opponent meant by that, he realized something, and saw his opening. Alcides raised Tsumukari aloft, and swung, once more relying upon Tsumukari's reality cleaving ability. Emiya realized what he was going to do. To use Tsumukari to cut the very concept of life from Emiya, killing him instantly. It would have given Emiya pause, would have struck fear into his very existence except for one key difference between the two; his experiences in the Hokubu. Not even a month ago Emiya tried to purge the ocean of it's corruption by Tiamat. But the ocean was a physical embodiment of Tiamat's Divine Authority, her will in essence. Tiamat's Authority over Life, which overruled Tsumukari's ability to cut reality and Divinity both. The slash would fail as Tsumukari held no authority over Life. Only the Great Mother did, and therein lied his opening. As the slash came down, Emiya was still afraid. Afraid that he was wrong, that it was a fake out, that it was simply a slash meant to end his existence, but no. The blade passed through his shoulder with no pain nor wound, and Emiya believed in his guess, and assumption on how the blade interacted with Life and waited. The blade passed through, and Emiya allowed his body to go limp, to make it appear as though all life had left him. Alcides, believing his attack was successful, took a moment to compose himself, once more feeling the strain upon his own existence, torn by Tsumukari. Looking down at Emiya, he knew that if he had to use it just one more time, he would most likely die. This made Emiya's hesitance to employ the blade all the more understandable, if it imposed such a high risk. Perhaps he wasn't as foolish as Alcides believed him to be...

As the battle was now over, Alcides' body stopped emitting it's discordant reddish lightning hue, returning to a more slate-like color. He spied Tsumukari's sheath still tied to Emiya's side, and didn't want to part blade from scabbard, so he reached out to claim it with the blade. As he did, Emiya took his chance, reaching out to grab the blade from Alcides' hand when his aura was deactivated. Surely he was weaker without it, so it was his best and last chance. Alcides genuinely believed him dead, but wasn't taken aback by the sudden motion. Emiya grabbed the blade and the wrist holding it, almost as though he were trying to will history to repeat itself, but Alcides merely swung the arm in an arc, throwing Emiya to the side. As he hit a tree, Emiya instantly ducked as a following slash from Tsumukari cut through the trees behind him. Alcides was furious and confused in equal measure, The concept was visualized, and the slash made contact. How did it fail? He was sure it worked... No matter. It bought him seconds more at best.

Emiya's gamble failed. He just didn't have the strength to beat him. It was truly over. He could barely stand, his Chakra was spent, and he had little if any Life left in him. He couldn't win... At the moment that thought penetrated his mind, he saw a flash of blue light from the corner of his eye. A blazing blue orb with rings that orbited it. It was pretty... It whispered promises to him. Promises of power, of victory, that he need only agree to certain terms, and victory could be his. They had been quiet the entire time, wishing not to intrude upon Shirō's genuine attempt at a reunion nor attempt at fixing his mistake, but the moment Emiya saw that thing EMIYA began screaming out within Shirō's psyche, telling him not to listen to it's whispers and promises. That he would become a slave to the world and it's whims, forced to kill in service of the planet's own preservation. He would become a machine that spat in the face of all he stood for. He would regret this decision, and even sooner than EMIYA had given his life was spent. Shirō looked upon the listening facade of the orb, genuinely tempted to take it up on it's offer. If it meant living that little bit longer, and denying Alcides his victory, it may very well have been worth it. But he believed in his futu-err, similarly aged personalities opinion that it wasn't worth it. Perhaps death was a mercy after all. At the very least he could meet with Falnir again, and give the Judge of Souls another thrashing. The thought amused him. But as Emiya watched Alcides approach he knew he just wasn't happy with it. He wouldn't be content leaving things like this. He looked back up at the sphere, and rebuked it with a gesture. He wouldn't make a deal, and he wouldn't give up. That's all there was to it. He wouldn't give up. He would survive. Alcides watched a light emit from Emiya's body ever so faintly. At first? Embers. Dazzling gleaming ashes that got carried away with the light winds whipping through the clearing. Was this perhaps some last attempt at retaliation that failed? He lacked the energy necessary to even do that much? The embers grew dimmer and dimmer, but then all at once an eruption gave way to a roaring blaze, flames spewing forth from every part of his body, flowing like a liquid, catching trees and grass on fire. Alcides didn't bat an eye as the flames grew near, but as he watched the edges of his pelt begin to burn away he knew something was wrong. These flames could harm him somehow... Retreating back he witnessed the flames grow greater and greater, unsure what exactly this was. In truth, neither did Emiya, but whatever it was? He was loving it.

(Ishi no Ikinobiru: Taika) – Will to Survive: Blaze
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (-20 per turn)
Damage: N/A (+30)
Description: Will to Survive is an empowered state of spirit and soul, strengthening the user on multiple combat dimensions. The potency of the mode is divided between three different levels depending on the user’s mastery over their Atavistic Flame. Entering this form is comparatively complicated to Sage Mode even though the modes are similar in functionality. Atavistic Flame is recognized as humanity’s collective will to persevere; because of this it is actually optimal to activate the Will to Survive when the user is at their weakest, rather than at their strongest as is with Sage Mode. Upon activation Blaze will take the user’s missing Health Points from their maximum and multiply that value by 6. This value represents the user’s total reserves from the use of Atavistic Flame techniques and the mode’s sustainment. The mode is deactivated once the user has expended these reserves. While active the user becomes resistant to all sources of damage, reducing them by 40 points. The user becomes able to passively sense sources of life around their position with enhanced tracking, reflexes, perception, and speed by x3. Their usage of Atavistic Flame techniques is enhanced further, strengthening them by an additional 30 damage. The user’s body will dance with flames flickering from their skin, with embers raging off of it as they dance outward. Their sclera shift toward a brilliant yellow. While active the user regenerates their missing Health Points at a rate of 40 per turn, applying to both physical and spiritual damage.
Note: Atavistic techniques used in this mode still inflict recoil damage if they do by default. Atavistic effective Chakra value is reduced from the total mode's resources while in use.

Note: While active the user does not suffer from Health Fatigue, spiritual or physical, at all.
Note: Usable only by Masters and Grandmasters of Atavistic Flame. Blaze can be used twice per battle. Masters and Grandmasters can use a third activation on their Hollow Flame.
Note: The activation of Will to Survive is not restricted by Combat Fatigue.

"Give it back.
It doesn't belong to you. Just give it back."

Clad in orange flames, Emiya pointed towards Alcides, and Tsumukari specifically. As he did, the blade began glowing before an intense heat forced him to drop the blade. Once more instinct had taken the reigns of Emiya's actions as his body was clad in flames borne of his very soul, his life, both aspects of himself he had been expending the entire time. He didn't know it but they were the same flames employed by Marzan to forge the God Slaying Tools; Atavistic Flames. They were a physical manifestation of humanity's collective desire and will to survive, to endure. Those same flames carried intrinsic Anti-Divine properties. This, in tandem with them being linked with the soul, gave Emiya the tools he needed to reclaim his sword. Alcides' technique stole Tsumukari, overwrote himself as it's owner, but he was not there for the blades' creation. His soul wasn't linked to the blade, and it was this connection that served as the answer to it's theft. Being linked with Emiya, it resonated with his activation of Atavistic Flames, heating itself up in tandem with Emiya. In addition to this, and unbeknownst to both parties, one aspect of Atavism is to return to a previous state. Emiya was not clued in on the loop of how Atavistic Flame works, having activated it on instinct, but the soul is used as tinder, damaging the user and recovering that damage over time as they release Chakraless flames, with this Mode, Will to Survive, being stronger the more the user has damaged themselves. Once this is done, the user will then recover lost health over time, effectively reverting them to zero, back to full. This worked in Emiya's favor, extending to Tsumukari, reverting it to the point where the weapon was "his own" once more, the "damage" done to Tsumukari through Reincarnation Pandora undone.

With his newfound strength, Emiya rushed Alcides, whom began reaching for the blade. In response Emiya swiped out with his arm, releasing a wave of flames from himself. Where normally this would inflict damage to himself, it was taken from a pool used to sustain the Mode itself. After seeing his pelt be even affected by the flames previously Alcides immediately abandoned the attempt at reclaiming the sword, allowing Emiya to finally reclaim the weapon. Grasping the weapon in his hand once more Emiya felt immense relief. Regardless of everything that had occurred, knowing he could still turn things around, send this man back where he came from? That was enough. He spun and twirled the sword in his grip, testing the edge against the fabric of reality, causing lines to be traced in the air same as Alcides had, then all at once he swung the blade out to the side, carving the land at his feet to the side, causing a massive shockwave that stuttered and repeated itself multiple times, the land breaking and repairing multiple times in rapid succession, both from the instability of location, and reality itself. Alcides began firing off a volley of arrows, each tipped with Hydra poison, but Emiya burned them away with an equal number of swipes with his blade, releasing flames from himself as he did, while simultaneously slashing the arrows.

With Atavistic Flames bypassing the Nemean Lion's Pelt and his Demi-Divinity both, Heracles felt something resembling fear, though he was far too strong and proud to actually believe it so. To him it was something more akin to the anticipation and excitement of a thrilling fight with actual stakes, something he hadn't experienced since he slayed his own Divine Pantheon. With Emiya's body restoring itself with each second passing, slowly but clearly also reverting to it's previous state, Alcides could see the more things drew out the harder they would be for him, and that thought excited him. Once more the pair clashed, this time Alcides attacking with his fists and bow, and Emiya utilizing Tsumukari to it's fullest extent in tandem with the Atavistic Flames leaping from his body with each motion. Alcides relying upon his endless sacrifice managed to land several hits, but Emiya could quickly recover from them as the flames kept reverting them. He even attempted to steal the blade again but was rebuked when Tsumukari simply reverted back to it's previous state once more. For Emiya things were much clearer, simpler, as the flames and Tsumukari both completely bypassed the Divine defenses, leaving Alcides entirely open to attacks, with those from the blade being especially effective. They clashed for what felt like an eternity, but between Emiya's arsenal now being well equipped to deal with the Divine nature of Alcides' very existence, and his own body repairing itself in tandem with that stubborn nature of his, Alcides' waves were crashing upon an immovable mountain, not of strength, but tenacity. Eventually even Alcides was defeated, not through death, but sheer exhaustion. Dropping to one knee yet attempting to remain upright, he implored Emiya to know what had occurred.

"I would know one thing before you end this. Why did it fail? That last slash should have killed you.
If that blade truly alters causality, nothing should be beyond it's reach, so why?"

"Oh, that one's simple. There's a Goddess that governs Life here. She's a Primordial Divinity, so her Authority exceeds Tsumukari. You could have tried to kill me like that with Tsumukari a thousand times, but it would have failed every single time. I learned that one a little while ago on accident when interacting with a source of her Authority."

"So I was beaten... By a technicality...?"

Alcides began to chuckle to himself, slowly being overcome with hysteria from the sheer absurdity of the situation, and the raw luck Emiya seemingly possessed. To escape destined death on such a simple miscalculation, truly he had the God's luck.

"Very well, you have earned your victory. As is your right, claim what is yours!!"

"Hm? I don't care about killing you. I just wanted my sword back, and to send you back from where you came from really.
I wasn't lying when I said bringing you here was a mistake."

There was a sincerity to the statement that gave Alcides pause. The idiot really was just playing around with forces beyond his control and understanding, and fucked up. Alcides still thought it was unwise to allow Emiya to keep toying with reality the way he had, but he won so he wouldn't force it. As Emiya swung Tsumukari with a more leisurely swipe, he focussed on the concept of distance, specifically that of the distance between Alcides and his home, and as the edge made contact with the warrior, he vanished, shunted back to wherever he came from. Alcides appeared in a desolate grey landscape, void of any life. The Divinities were gone, and life along with them. He was home. A land that held no life, yet he couldn't die.

Shirō took a good look at his body now that things were quieter, unsure how long this Mode would last, or if he should consult someone, or if there was even someone to consult. He couldn't tell in the moment the link between himself and Tsumukari reverting being a result of the flames, and the God Slaying Tool's forging in the very same flames, or he would have made his way back to Marzan. Instead he closed his eyes and thought of quelling these flames, and unsurprisingly they slowly burned out. Exhausted, not physically as his body had all but recovered entirely from the encounter here in the Last Shadow, but mentally from just how taxing the endeavor was, Emiya sheathed Tsumukari resolved to not use the blade for a while to prevent any further hi-jinks, or life-threatening fights to the death. His mind still drifted in the direction of Miyu, but that vision assured him she was safe, so whether it was the trick of a lonely mind, or something more tangible, it was enough. Emiya quickly left the clearing, moving on to see what else Kamiyasumi had to offer.

Lord of Thunder, pt 1

Alucard and Lilith reached a clearing in the Cedar forest, unbeknownst to them being the epicenter of the warped reality that cast no shadows on any objects in the vicinity.

Well next time that Nara bitch wants to fight me, i'll bring him here for sure.

I thought you were the peaceful amongst us two.

Guess i'm growing up.

Sshh, quiet.

Alucard's Tenseigan could see all the way to the ocean through the forest and the shores of the north where quite close to their position. Being shushed by her father, Lilith kept looking around in silence and admired the unnatural phenomenon around this place. She felt secured with him around her even in such a place as this, even when an imminent threat was on it's way towards them as well. Humming in a very quiet tone, Lilith grabbed a leaf from one of the trees. She inspected it thoroughly, it looked normal.. Alucard then called her to return to him but via his mental link. She looked up towards him but he was nowhere to be seen. She was in shock, was he lost again? Suddenly the leaf inside of her palm felt heavy, heavy as a large stone.

Over here, we've got company!

C-coming father!

She heard his voice but his presence was completely lost to her. She ran towards the location where she had seen him last but she would trip over something that was resembling something like a crouched down man. She fell to the forest floor and looked up. Now he was suddenly there.

What the ****!?

..Not the most stealthy move there my girl..

B-buut.. you were gone?

Alucard noticed the frantic expression on his daughter, she wasn't lying to him.

Stay close to me, this place is.. Weird.

He then proceeded to look back towards the raiding party that was closing in on their position from the north. More and more people had come to challenge the new continent it would seem, no different from the pirates they had fought long ago. However, there was a noticeable difference from the first time he had noticed them. Back then it was just a group of around 30 people but now there were thousands of them. All looking suspiciously familiar to eachother.

This place is messing up my damn head.. Lilith i need you to stay behind me.
They came closer and closer, now just a few hundred meters away Alucard could already start to take some of them out from a long distance using his chakra. He summoned a massive shuriken and infused it with lightning chakra which would cause collateral damage and making it reach insane distances whilst chaining lightning.

(Raiton: Raisen) Lightning Release: Lightning Flash
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user launches a lightning-infused fūma shuriken at their opponent, knocking them back. The lightning trail it leaves behind is also capable of temporarily stunning opponents. This attack is capable of traveling very long distances and can also be used in mid-air.

As the shuriken traveled through the air it would seem like its distance towards the ground warped itself in a swirl making it fall towards the ground just short of five meters whilst the lightning chakra seemed to implode and disintegrate the whole weapon.

..Nice toss dad, what the hell was that.

Shut up.

It would seem the sound and visuals of Alucards failed technique hadn't gone un-noticed by the invaders who countered with a long-range attack themselves in the form of an advanced arsenal of chakra-battery tech. Lilith disobeyed her fathers direct order and unveiled her mark of darkness in order to siphon the chakra - creating a shield around the two of them.

(Meiton: Kyūkyoku no Kyūketsukō) Dark Release: Ultimate Inhaling Maw
Type: Defensive
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user, when facing an attack, will clap his hands together and separate them right after. As he separates his hands, a small dark sphere will be between them. The user maintains his hands close to sustain the small sphere while it siphons any enemy technique or enemy chakra within range towards itself. The sphere is a "void" made by activating both absorbing markings in the users hand at the same time and opposing them to each other, which creates this effect. This technique is essentially a more advanced and powerful version of Dark Release: Inhaling Maw and enables the user to absorb higher ranked techniques. However, when used, the user needs to wait one turn to use Dark Release absorption related techniques.

Meanwhile the invaders had now reached the perimeter of the opening in the forest and whilst doing so, some of them disappeared and some multiplied. It was as if everyone was in a Genjutsu yet nothing in their chakra systems was going haywire meaning it simply couldn't be one. With the targets surrounding them and seeming to be fine from whatever mind games he and Lilith were suffering from this could become a fight that was seemingly easy from the start to an impossible labyrinth of chaos. Alucard did the only thing he could think of at a time like this and that was just to open fire in every single possible direction possible but alas he had to think of Lilith who was behind him. He channeled lightning chakra into his two hands and created a total of a 240 degree wave of total destruction around him leaving two widespread craters and causing nearby trees to catch fire.

(Raiton: Chidori Raimei) - Lightning Style: 1000 Birds Thunderstorm (x2)
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: The user will channel lightning chakra into his hand, covering it with a massive chidori. The user will then point his palm forwards, unleashing that chakra, creating a massive 120º blast of lightning that spreads from his hand, outwards and forward towards the enemy.

While fire was maybe a good way to keep the rest of them flocking to the place it wasn't an ideal situation to be trapped inside of a burning forest. Lilith sighed at her fathers destructive ways and used her super-cool element to hinder the spread of the fire. Forming Liquid Krypton from her hands, she aimed the stream towards the fire.

(Kuriputon: Feruinta | Liquid Krypton Release: Felwinter)
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: D-S (B)
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 10-40(-10 per turn when sustained)
Damage: 20-80
Description: Felwinter is a multi-ranked technique that serves as the basic, jack-of-all-trades technique of the Krypton release. It can be created from existing sources(air) or from the user directly. Depending on how much chakra he/she spends it amps the technique further and thus produces more liquid Krypton. The force of the torrent of the ultra cold liquid will also become greater the more chakra is spent into the technique. But even so, small amounts of liquid Krypton may be enough for some occasions too. Through this technique, the user will be able to create small or large torrents of the liquid Krypton, create a huge "sea" of the ultra cold liquid or manipulate pre-existing liquid Krypton to form into huge hands or small flying liquid bullets. Even though the possibilities are essentially endless, since the release is indeed liquid it cannot maintain any lasting functional structures unless chakra is used to sustain the releases state. Sort of like water which can be formed into a dragon but needs chakra to sustain its form in such case. D, C and B ranks can be used indefinitely while B-ranks will require one handseal; Hare. A rank variation can be used up to 4 times, but will start to require two handseals; Hare - Ox. S-rank variation requires three handseals; Hare - Ox - Rabbit - and can be used up to 3 times per battle.

Note: B-ranks require a single handseal, A ranks two handseals and S rank three handseals.
Note: A rank version can be used 4 times per battle, S rank 3.
Note: No Krypton Above A-rank after using S-rank version in the same turn and next.

Of course with these two elements clashing there was such a difference in heat that there would be discharge and heavy fog in the air around them to the point in which Lilith lost all visuals on the surroundings and had to rely entirely on her radar equipment fitted into her SNT. The fog didn't hinder Alucard whatsoever, his Dojutsu coupled with his Chakra Sensory made him nigh impossible to hide from - intentionally or not. However, the fog that surrounded them would suddenly also "fall" into the forest floor. Could it be that this place bent the rules of mass? Making objects with mass not have it anymore and sometimes making objects that basically have none all the sudden have a lot of of it? Alucards mind was racing in the events that unfolded in front of his eyes. Alucard then split himself into a total of four entities, having created three shadow clones that all three headed into the front of the battle while Alucard himself remained with Lilith in the glade. He had to find out what was going on here or this battle would be doomed before it had begun.

(Kage Bunshin no Jutsu) - Shadow Clone Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20 (total chakra is divided by the final number of clones plus the user)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and himself and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clones, a max number of 4, are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force, returning 10% of its individual chakra to the user. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the original with Sharingan, Byakugan, Rinnegan or normal Chakra Sensing. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones.

The three clones would form a front towards the north inside of the thick cedar forest. Meanwhile, Alucard would start to notice something akin of a barrier that engulfed the glade and enveloped it. He hadn't notice it before so it had most likely been triggered by their presence or their chakra.. Or something else.. It was a radiant blue color and razor thin, but of course it could just as well be a part of the hallucinations but it was quite an interesting thing to behold.

So, this is the one thing that is responsible for these paracasual events inside of the forest... Not for long.

He approached the flickering barrier with chakra charged in his palm, a specific technique to be used to shatter barriers was what he would try in an attempt to unveil it. Lilith wasn't too optimistic of the idea.

What if it is the only thing that prevents this warped reality from spreading across our known worlds - you can't risk destroying it, we can just leave this place and thing will return to normal.
Meanwhile on the battlefront, the three clones were making progress in the guerilla type warfare that the situation had escalated to. While the surroundings were all thick and tall trees, the invading forces continued to shoot chakra bullets in a rapid pace with any means necessary to take the clones down. Ballistic misfire of said artillery caused fire to spread throughout the forest and in some cases would spread into a wildfire. This cut down the clones advancements but it also cut down the invaders advancements while simultaneously nullifying their visibility - something that wasn't affecting the clones as they had the Tenseigan coupled with their sensory. The clones relied on water release or the krypton release in order to counter the spread of the wildfires whilst also causing massive tsunamis of water to plow through the forest yet water was not the ideal destructive element in a forest as thick as this and with trees as withstanding as this as most of the enemy could just climb branches or hide behind the trees for cover. Krypton was even worse in this condition for it was packing way less of a punch than that of water due to its density being almost none.

(Suiton: Dai Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave (x2)
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: This technique is a stronger version of exploding water colliding wave technique. The user will first perform the ram hand seal and then spits out a large amount of water that covers an entire area, with massive waves that can crush the opponent. The user then forms the water into a giant orb, instead of releasing like weaker version of the technique.

(Kuriputon: Feruinta | Liquid Krypton Release: Felwinter)
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: D-S (A)
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 10-40(-10 per turn when sustained)

The invading forces also seemed to adapt to the clones water/krypton techniques - chaining raiton charged or heavy-duty doton charged ballistics into their arsenal. The lightning chakra bullets could tear through and electrify the water causing a hazard for the clones whilst also pierce through their techniques while the earth ones could easily pierce through the krypton release which forced the clones to change their tactics.

Back to the glade, Alucard and Lilith had now entered a furious debate between the two of them on how to proceed with the newly discovered paracasual barrier enveloping the glade inside of the forest. Alucard was ready to bust the thing to pieces but his daughter had put herself between him and it.

Dad we don't know what the effects of shattering this is. Please be reasonable and don't do anything stupid!

Step aside, i gave you life and i can just as easily take it away from you. This thing will spread and destroy the universe.

You don't mean that..

Look, it wasn't here when we came. Something triggered it to develop and it causes for action, if it's the only thing that keeps these effects from spreading towards the world why wasn't it here in the first place when we clearly experienced these anomalies?

Well you were way too focused on the enemy than looking around this place. I for one noticed strange things as i inspected this place. Maybe if you had paid a little more attention to this place before starting another war with a bannerless faction - which by the way came from literally nowhere YOU WOULD'VE NOTICED.

Back at the battlefield and things started to look rather grim for Alucard's clones. Had he activated his TCM before splitting into four this battle would've ended long ago but it wasn't the case now. Due to the sheer number of hostiles and their advanced tech, one of the clones had suffered enough damage to disintegrate leaving only two of them. One of which was in a very sticky situation and flanked by a group of ten elite mercenaries. Opting for the Fuuton element this time the clone in the front would create a controllable zone of wind allowing it to swipe the floor with the enemy and bash them into obstacles whilst also rendering their Raiton charged chakra bullets nil.

(Fūton: Kiryū Ranbu) - Wind Release: Air Current Wild Dance
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40 (+15 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After making the Rat handseal, the user creates and controls air currents from the palms of their hands, forming a large field of raging air currents and gusting winds. The technique expands quickly, rapidly spanning through all of the battle field, gathering debris, dust and other small particles in its path. The technique effectively creates a very large controllable "dust" storm.

Note: Lasts 3 turns or until released.

The other clone would opt for the earth element as the usage of Raiton chakra would be futile in the conditions created by it's fellow clone and expanded an army of hunter dogs made from the earth itself.

( Doton: Inukai Takeru no Mikoto ) - Earth Style: Inukai Takeru no Mikoto
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Mid - Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: A technique where the user creates ferocious canine chakra avatars from the land itself. They will pursue their targets relentlessly in order to clamp down on them with their jaws, restraining and crushing them, and their speed is so great that they were even able to catch Sage ranked Ninja. The user can also transmit elemental jutsu through the body of one of the canines after it grasps a target, causing it to travel the length of its body at normal speeds until it erupts from the mouth.

Disguised from the surroundings, these dogs would hunt in small packs and tear through most of the remaining forces. The only ones remaining now had climbed up the trees to avoid the dogs but they would be ensnared by the ferocious winds caused by the second clone and slammed into the ground only to become prey towards the hunter dogs. This combo had sealed the battle and secured the win of the conflict - or so they thought. A single chakra signature remained in the distance and it was heavy indicating the plausibility of a very powerful entity. As soon as the two clones both pinned down it's trace one of them was shot down in the blink of an eye, now only one remaining..

Back at the glade and Alucard would attempt to pass Lilith using force as neither of them could settle their argument regarding the barrier surrounding them. While Liliths attempts were noble, she could not undo the gravitational prowess of Alucard which sent her crashing into a nearby tree as Alucard caused a mid-range expansion.

( Tensei Suiryoku ) - Reincarnation Thrust
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary/Defense/Attack
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 40
Damage: 40 - 160
Description: The user will repulse and push away anything around him up to a given range, in all directions, producing an omni-repulsion effect. The force and repulsive effect is absolute, affecting both energy and matter alike. The technique itself can be used with different ranges/sizes, depending on how much chakra the user spends for the technique and can even, in its smaller form, be sustained, forming a static defensive field instead of a wave-like effect.
Shōkibo - Small Scale: the user will push away anything around him up to short range. The offensive power in this size is not that high as it hits opponents but can still do severe damage. It isn't, however, fatal, boasting a physical 40 damage. If the user focuses this ability with the help of his hands he can sustain a defensive absolute repulsive field around him. He can't, however, do any technique while he is sustaining it and he can only sustain it for 2 turns. Once used, takes one turn cool down to use gravitational related techniques again.
Chūkibo - Medium Scale: the user will push away anything around him up to mid range. The offensive power in this size is severe, sending opponents flying backwards with enough force to, if not defended properly, leave near fatal physical damage. Although not directly fatal, the technique boasts a physical damage of 80. If the user focuses this ability through one or both hands, he can push away a specific target or technique alone, instead of producing the normal omni-repulsive wave. Once used, takes 2 turns cool down to use gravitational related techniques again.
Ōkibo - Large Scale: the user will push away anything around him up to long range. The offensive power of the technique is devastating and anything in its path that doesn't manage to defend properly is left obliterated. Its fatal if unguarded, boasting a physical damage of 160. Using this techniques poses a great deal of danger to the user as he damages his chakra pathway itself to be able to mold sufficient chakra to perform it. Once used, the user loses the use any gravitational related techniques for the remainder of the fight and is unable to mold chakra for techniques above A-Rank for 5 turns.
Note: The technique is immune to normal Elemental Weaknesses and Strengths and as such can't be blocked or stopped. However, the enemies can still use techniques that prevent or reduce physical damage to their bodies to survive its effects or escape its range through a fast enough technique. This means that in the large scale, while the technique can't be stopped or directly countered, enemies can still manage to survive if they logically counter.
Note: Can only be used by Tenseigan Bios.

He now stood arms reach from the barrier and infused his hand with chakra once again, chakra designed to shatter barriers of all types. He reached up his arm and dismantled it - causing a humming loud noise that throttled down as if an advanced engine being turned off.

( Hijutsu: Fūinjutsu Kai ) – Secret Technique: Sealing Release
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A (same chakra as the seal thats to be released)
Damage: N/A
Description: The user can use this technique to dispel sealing techniques of various natures by forcefully breaking open the seal or, in extreme cases, erasing/cancelling them. For seals placed on a living medium, the user must make contact with the seal. For other seals, being in short range of it is enough. Normally, to perform this technique one needs to do the confrontation or the tiger handseal.
Note: Regular Fuuinjutsu users can dispel Sealing Techniques B-Rank and below. Uzumaki bios can dispel up to A-Rank. Advanced Sealing Specialists can dispel up to standard S rank Sealing Technique.

He noticed no difference except that the barrier was now gone and in his mind he had succeeded in preventing a disaster.

It's done now, wasn't so bad was it?
Lilith didn't reply. Alucard looked towards his clone and noticed the massive chakra signature in the distance as well.

C'mon Lilith, let's finish this.
She didn't reply again, causing Alucard to look back towards were he had sent her flying in his rage. She was not there, infact he could not even sense her anymore. A chill crept down his spine and his heart stopped beating only to regain a very fast rhythm shortly after. His daughter had ceased to exist.

Back at the front, Alucard's last remaining clone had closed the gap and confirmed visuals of the last man. It was a very crude looking female figure with steampunk themed outfit. This one was not equipped with any chakra arsenal which came as a surprise judging by the fact the others did.

A clone.. No, i won't fight you as it is beneath me. Where is the real one?
Alucards clone responded without words but instead of a quick assault chaining gravitational forces to collide trees into a sphere and shot towards the hostile.

( Tensei Hakai no Beruto ) - Reincarnation Belt of Destruction
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30 (-15 per turn)
Damage points: 60
Description: Using their manipulation of gravitational forces, the user is able to gather nearby debris present in the battlefield (anything will do as long as its tangible), concentrate them into small "clumps" and begin floating them around in mid air, short range around themselves, creating a defensive belt of debris. The user can then use these debris as projectiles to attack the enemy by commanding them thorugh hand gestures and throwing them at the target.
Note: Can only be used by Tenseigan Bios.
Note: Depending on the characteristics of the debris, the technique can be used to defend to up to A-Rank techniques and can be regenerated by using the technique again to add more debris, returning it to its original strength.

Whatever the cause for Liliths sudden disappearance seemed to have been momentarily voided as she suddenly re-appeared back at reality while the real Alucard was in great shock. He noticed her struggling existence floating mid-air from the last location he saw her. Her flickering body was suspended in the air and her cries were distorted. Alucard tried to grab her but to no avail. For the first time in her life, Lilith saw her father cry trying to helplessly retrieve her. An act of pure desperation, it was the sight of nightmares. Unbeknownst to all of them the fact lied in that the final enemy carried a device that amplified the effects of the paracasual nature of the glade and the clones assault had inflicted damage upon it.

Strapped in the situation, Alucard's clone would face the threat alone and a threat it was for the opponent would create a hurricane of thunderbolts around them to shatter all the debris that had crashed into her. With a slightly upset voice she repeated the same words as earlier while unleashing a devastating storm of the wind and lightning element combined into one. The power of this technique was so devastating that the surroundings seemed to disintegrate well above what seemed to be the normal bounds of the technique.

(Ranton: Raiunkōha) - Storm Release: Thunder Cloud Inner Wave
Rank: A ???
Type: Offensive/ Defensive
Range: Short Long
Chakra cost: 30 80
Damage points: 60 140
Description: After performing the required hand seals the user uses Storm Release to generate a thick ring of thunderclouds and electricity around him, creating an offensive and defensive ward. He can then uses these clouds to fire powerful blasts of lightning at his enemies, and as an electrified perimeter; effectively preventing his enemies from getting close. But a wind elemental technique can blow the clouds away.
Note: Cloud of rings lasts 2 turns

The clone responded by using it's dark release to absorb the technique using the ultimate chakra absorption technique it was capable of and it was just enough to absorb the technique.

(Meiton/Inton: Kokuyōseki no sora | Dark/Yin Release: Obsidian Sky)
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 70
Damage: 140 N/A
Description: Obsidian Sky is a technique in which the user incorporates their Yin as well as their Dark release together to create the ultimate chakra siphoning technique. Through the use of Yin, the dark release absorption aspect loses its weaknesses to earth and water/other solid/liquid materials and lets the user absorb anything of the same chakra level while at the same time absorb enough chakra from an incoming technique for it to directly lose one rank, similar to the tethering abilities of Hungry Ghost. Unlike Hungry Ghost, however, this technique doesn't latch on to the opponent if it goes through and eats their chakra but simply applies the debuff on their technique. However, the strengths of the absorption release is also rendered neutral, meaning this technique can essentially absorb the same amount of chakra the user spends in their initial move. It is exactly the same for the release version of the technique with a total immunity to any weakness/strength and rendered neutral to everything and thus only overpowering techniques that has lesser damage output. When it comes to the release form of the aspect of this technique, the standard blue flames have changed aesthetically. The flames have a slightly different pattern than normal dark release techniques. It's aesthetics has changed into which the flames are pitch black with a cyan flare on the edges. On the inside there are images resembling that of a clear night sky, filled with celestial bodies. This is a passive aesthetic change and carries no weight in battle.

Note: When the user has performed the release version of this technique, they are hindered from using S-rank and above techniques for two turns afterwards, as well as Yin/Dark release techniques above A-rank. This applies for both times the release version is used.
Note: In the same turn the user uses the absorption function, they cannot use any other dark release techniques.
Note: The release form of the technique can only be used twice per battle, with a two turn-cooldown.
Note: The absorption form can be used 4 times per battle, with a two-turn cooldown.
Note: After usage, the user must wait two turns to use again for the absorption part and 4 for the release part.

Regardless of the feat, the opponent had launched herself into a trajectory forcing the clone to dodge in haste in order not to get struck by an outreached drop-kick. She was damn fast, so fast that the clone would have to create a chakra-less shockwave by smashing it's hands together pushing her back into mid-range once again.

(Taijutsu: Hakushu Shōten) Body Art: Hand Clap Focal Point
Type: Offensive
Rank: A - S (S)
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 60 - 80 (80)
Description: Inspired by his Gathering Clouds sword technique’s ability to create shockwaves of air pressure, Hakushu Shōten is a taijutsu attack created by Kōtetsu Inuzuka that allows the user to slam his hands together with tremendous strength to produce a radial shockwave of air pressure that reaches up to mid-range away from the user’s position and gradually spreads outward to a maximum of 10 meters wide as it travels. In addition to dealing concussive damage to an enemy and being capable of shattering or dispersing techniques of equal strength, this technique is able to push whatever it comes into contact with into mid-range. Due to this technique not being reliant on chakra it has no elemental strengths or weaknesses and functions on a rank vs rank system, however, any enhancements to taijutsu will apply to the technique.

Notes:
- The A-ranked version of this technique can be used four times per battle.
- The S ranked can only be used twice and requires a single turn cooldown between uses.

At this point, her original storm release technique had created such a huge opening in the forest that no nearby trees were around but instead a giant desolated opening was their battlefield.

Seems you got some punch in you afterall, makes me even more interested in meeting your original but enough is enough.

She weaved four handseals causig a massive blood red pillar to shoot up into the sky gathering clouds and creating a static atmosphere. Something terrible was about to happen..

( Ranton Ougi: Rankiryuu ) Storm Release Ultimate Technique: Turbulance
Type: Offensive
Rank: S-Rank ???
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40 ???
Damage: 80 200
Description: After doing a sequence of 4 handseals (Rat→Dragon→Hare→Tiger) the user releases a burst of red chakra in the form of a gigantic collumn of energy that rises high into the atmosphere above him. As soon as he does so, huge cold thunderclouds gather and swirl around and above the user, covering the whole battle field. As the pitch black thunderclouds gather high above the user, the whole atmosphere becomes charged with static energy. After some time, having gathered enough thunderclouds and lightning energy, the whole energy is unleashed upon the ground descending in the form of a collum of energy (similar to the one initially triggered). As it touches the ground around the user, the collumn explands outwards, taking advantage of the moisture in the air to travel up to long range, hitting everything while clearing the skies in the process. The energy destroys anything in its wake, leaving nothing but an empty wasteland behind. Because of the massive range and chakra needed to perform this technique, the user can only make use of it a limited amount of times.
Note: Usable only twice per battle.
Note: Takes one full turn to charge completely.

Not keen on letting the opponent trigger such devastation, the clone would unleash the black chakra it had gained from the previous storm technique. Black flames would devour the woman..

Back at the glade, Lilith started to sporadically appear more and more in this reality thanks to the battle the clone carried out against the unknown female warrior. While Alucard was fully focused on Lilith he couldn't ignore the devastation brought between his clone and the last opponent. Suddenly Lilith vanished entirely yet again and Alucards last clone had disintegrated as the opponent's sheer willpower had allowed her to survive the Dark release technique. A turbulence of absolute destruction would inch itself closer to Alucard as the moisture in the air expanded to his location.

Found you!
A column of pure destruction surrounded Alucard, who was now filled with bottomless rage. His Tenseigan boiled as they zoomed in on the opponent. He surrounded himself in a gravitational well, an absolute defense playing down values of damage and chakra to nothing. He would sustain the barrier until necessary.

The clouds cleared, indicating the opponents technique had ceased. Alucard would enter his Tenseigan Chakra Mode whilst running towards her. In a blitz, he grabbed her by her collar and tossed her so far that she would end up in another landmark where the fight would continue on..

( Tenseigan Chakura Mōdo ) - Reincarnation Eye Chakra Mode
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: 40 ( -15 per turn )
Damage: N/A
Description: Tenseigan Chakra Mode is a heightened transformation unique to those who possess the Tenseigan. Upon activating this form the user gains a cyan-colored chakra shroud with six magatama markings on their collar, dark markings over their eyebrows and lower eyelids, and a single horn shaped like Kaguya's, extending from their forehead. The shroud constantly radiates flickering flames of chakra, and the user's clothing and hair continuously billow upwards. The user's strength is significantly increased, adding +40 damage to their Ninjutsu and Taijutsu techniques. Their speed is also enhanced, increasing it by four times their base.
Note: Can only be used twice per battle, each use lasting 6 turns. After using, the user must wait at least 4 additional turns before using again.
Note: Can only be used by Otsutsuki Tenseigan wielders while the Tenseigan is active.
Note: If the Tenseigan is deactivated or reverted back to its Byakugan state then the mode is forcibly ended.

*End of Mission*
