Last minute story change ?

If we observe the manga scans ....we can clearly conclude that boruto's original eye was wounded and he got a transplant The white of his eyes didn't seem to darken in the manga panels and his eye appeared to be an inactivated Byakugan . But it seems whoever is in charge of the anime wanted to take a different route . What say u ? Was there a last minute change ?

It's still unclear if anime and Manga will go the same route all we know is the dojutsu in the anime is his so it might be the same in the manga

Both the manga and especially the anime still GREATLY lack enough material to make a safe assumption. As of right now it could honestly be any number of things; it could be an error, it could simply be a conscious design change for the sake of visual aesthetics, or it could honestly even simply be a shadow overlaying his eye (if you notice in the closeup of Boruto's eye, there is clearly some kind of shadow darkening the entire eye and not just the "whites" of the eye)
