last few episodes of evangelion

so i just finished watching evangelion. and spoilers for those who haven't yet

ok i didn't understand it.
ok so Shinji kills the last angel and gets depressed, and then he is sitting in a chair and all his friends are surrounding him, for the next few episodes, while he conteplates what a person is, what reality is, and all those questions, and then at the end he realizes that he must love himself, and then a room explodes and their is a desolate earth and his friends are smiling and clapping for him as he floats over the barren earth.

1. were all his freinds really angels and when he killed an angel he really made a freind and at the end was he in heaven or did he gain angelic powers?
2. was he "god" but he forgot he was and he can create different realities by thinking? like he did whne he imagined the school scene? like kami tenchi?
3.were all of mankind forced into one being, and that being was Shinji, and whne Shinji understood himself he broke the emotional barriers of his mind, and he begame a divine being?
4. was it just shinji sitting in his room trying to understand himself?
so help out here because i don't understand any of this at all.
don't get me wrong i loved every milisecond, but can you help me understand it?

i also watched this shiity anime since alot of people were talking about it.!!

this has to be the most shiity anime ever i watched... animation was so shiity but still i put up with the animation since i thought the story was going to be good but fcuk was it WTF

i just dont get what happend and i now i dont even care to understand what it was the anime was trying to show..!!

similar was the case with Black bulter, boy was this shiity anime as well.!!

What you just saw is referred to as the 'Instrumentality ending', which served as nothing more than a glimpse into the psyche of Shinji and Asuka. It's a terrible way to end the series, and most people don't consider it as the ending.

The ending reflects Shinji's internal struggles with finding his individuality and depression from how worthless he thinks he is, along with Asuka's own struggles of her abandonment issues and the need to be loved or accepted by someone. The final scenes depict all of the main characters alive and congratulating him, with no Angels or EVA units in sight. All of humanity's souls had been merged into one, and Shinji begins to live out the life he had always dreamed of. It's mostly just his imagination; all of the characters live out their personal desires in their own consciousness.
Compare it to Infinite Tsyukomi, if you will.

The 'true' ending of the series is depicted in the End of Evangelion movie. This is where Shinji declines Instrumentality, which results in Rei ceasing the Instrumentality and freeing all of the human souls. Although Shinji and Asuka are the first to be reborn back on Earth, it's hinted that anyone can revive themselves in human form if they choose to.

End of Evangelion end of story. I personally didn't like the Eva ending at all.
