Deactivating his invisibility as his student arrives late, Kakuzu can be seen with his eyes closed and in a meditative position.

Not a good first impression. Then again, first impressions tend to be wrong. Now, tell me everything you know about Ninjutsu.

I can't be bothered to post filler shit in here, so here it is fam.

Ninjutsu - The art of performing something regular people cannot with the help of chakra
Chakra - Combination of Physical and Spiritual energies
Physical Energy - Physical Energy is just that; the energy contained within the cells of your body, within your muscles which you use to lift objects, and is simply, overall, limited only by your body's limitations. The stronger a shinobi, the more Physical Energy you have to produce Chakra
Spiritual Energy - Spiritual Energy, on the other hand, is much less tangible and harder to measure. Your Physical Energy is measured in how heavy an object your muscles can lift, or how long you can run at a certain speed, while your Spiritual Energy is too much of an abstract concept to be measured properly
Bukijutsu - Art of throwing shuriken/kunai, using wires in combat, etc.
Shape Manipulation - Manipulating the shape of tangible chakra
Nature Manipulation - Manipulating the nature of chakra to that of one of the five elements

Ninjutsu is the act of basically doing random shit you cannot do without chakra. It can be done by applying chakra to your feet and walking up trees, using your chakra to form replicas of yourself or "bunshins", using chakra to merge with the ground, summon things from different places in the world, etc.

You already know a substantial amount about Ninjutsu, so let me further fortify your knowledge with my explanation of Ninjutsu and everything it entails. However, one thing you failed to mention is that since Ninjutsu is a more primitive version of Elemental Ninjutsu, most techniques in this category are actually weak to all elemental ones. Few exceptions exist such as Rasengan, where the chakra is worked and molded with advanced shape manipulation, putting it on equal terms with elemental variants. Once you've read and understood the following, we will proceed.

Ninjutsu is the usage of chakra to perform various tasks which can't be performed otherwise. Its an extremely broad term and encompasses many things such as: weapon usage, medical uses, transformations and so on. Unlike Genjutsu, its effects manifest in reality and not solely in the illusonary. A notable user of Ninjutsu is the 2nd Tsuchikage due to his arsenal of highly regarded techniques. Through chakra manipulation alone, he could achieve flight through unknown means, turn his body completely invisible and "split" his chakra into two separate bodies. His splitting technique far surpassed conventional clone techniques as both halves of him are considered the "real" version of him, meaning they couldn't be dispersed.

Ninjutsu isn't solely based around chakra usage and performing complex techniques and maneuvers, but is also in reference to the skill set a ninja should possess. The term "Ninjutsu" literally means ninja skills, leading me to believe its actually a more abstract concept to what we first perceive. A ninja should be a keen analyzer of situations, capable of conjuring up plans, tactics and counters, both in the heat of a battle and in preparation for one. They must make proficient use of the various ninja tools at their disposal, using all of the utensils they possess to the fullest. Awareness is another very important skill a ninja should possess. Paying close attention to detail, making logical inferences about your opponent, gradually deciphering your opponent's fighting style, noticing minute disturbances in your surroundings and remaining vigilant at all times is required if a ninja is to survive. Often a lack of awareness leaves you prone to assassinations, being struck by invisible attacks or worse still, making you unable to realize nor release an illusionary technique.

Even with the astounding abilities a ninja can come to acquire, he/she should never overlook or forget these fundamental rules. It could very well result in their downfall.

Ah ya I forgot to mention how raw chakra and ninjutsu is weak to elemental chakra bar advance shape manipulation. And I understand it, thanks for clarifying some minor things and what a lovely piece of writing. You have a way with words. ;--;

Alright, our Ninjutsu training can be broken down into the following three categories:
-Weapons Usage
-Logistics of a Battle
-Learning the Techniques

The techniques will be learnt in the following groups:
-Ninja tools, scrolls and weapons usage
-Stealth and Subterfuge (My personal favourite)
-Transformations, summons and clones
-Rasengans
-Miscellaneous (All other techniques grouped together)

Note about my training: Since I make you specialize in the different categories one at a time, you'll be learning techniques with different ranks in a random order. That being said, you cannot make any Ninjutsu custom techniques until you complete all of the Ninjutsu techniques.

Right now, we'll begin on weapons usage in a battle. Tell me about all of the ninja tools you know of, describe them thoroughly and how they can be used in battle.

All the ninja tools I know about from my noggin?

Kunai - Kunai are a small, knife like blade that usually are heavier than shuriken albeit more lethal and slower. Many people use kunai in close quarter combat as they are very diverse weapons, and some even use them as a medium for fuuinjutsu techniques.

Little spikes you put on the ground. Makibishi or some shit. - They are very small and very sharp things that a person places on the ground. In doing so, it restricts the opponent from rushing you otherwise their foot will get cut up as they step on the sharp metallic objects.

Shuriken - Shuriken pretty much a small circle of metal with four points on it. It has a hole like a doughnut where you place a finger then you grip it inbetween the blades. You then pretty much hurl them at opponents and it is faster yet not as lethal as a kunai.

Demon Windmill Shuriken - A really big shuriken that is incredibly lethal but heavier and not as quick as the smaller shuriken

Smoke Bomb - A bomb that when is set off, releases a bunch of smoke to obscure your view from the opponent and vice versa. It is mainly used as a diversion or hiding tactic.

Stun Grenade (people call this a flash grenade but obviously no one knows what the hell it does since everyone misuses it) - A stun grenade is a grenade that when is set off, releases a huge bang and blinding light with sounds reaching 170 dBs. That is enough sound to damage the liquid in your eardrum to throw you off balance (for the people who drop them behind themselves so they won't see blinding light). The burns from the stun grenade's explosion are enough to cause up to third degree burns if set off close to someone, and many cases of amputation have occurred due to this. There is no shrapnel from the explosion though. And the light is pretty bright as well.

Fuda/Explosive Fuda - Explosive tags that people can throw or attach to weaponry. Once set off, it releases a nice sized explosion and is a great compliment to the kage shuriken jutsu.

Enough about stun grenades, for all intents and purposes all they release is a blinding light. That method you mentioned I saw used by Scorps so I assume its correct. e_e
A good display. I'm glad you mentioned the relative speeds of the different types of projectile-based weapons. People seem to underestimate or ignore projectile speed especially when it comes t to arrows. Using long-winded/slow techniques to stop fast-moving projectiles isn't something you should do.

Angle and direction of Ninja tools
These are the realistic aspects of the RP. We will be covering one at a time starting with Angle. These are some of the things you need to keep in mind when fighting in a battle.

Angle is a very important part when battling and if used right it can give you the upper hand over your opponent. It's very important to understand the angles in a battle. This is mainly used with ninja tools (shuriken, kunai and other projectiles) but you can also use this with certain techniques that are launched at your opponent. Just by stating the angle you can confuse your opponent.

For example:Ninja 1 and Ninja 2 are fighting. N1 throws 2 kunai at N2, one at the angle of 25 and the other on 55. The lower the angle, the faster the projectile. Most new people would say:"I intercept the kunai with one of my own, blocking them both." If you use angles, this is where you can score.

Here is a pic for reference:
You must be registered for see images

If N1 threw the kunai at an angle of 25 first your opponent would probably be defending from that one first thus he would fail to notice the other one. If he blocks the first one then the second one would hit him unless he kept his focus. Thus with one blow you can cause fatal injuries. (Credits to Cobalt)

Another neat trick I picked up is the efficient use of a flash bomb. By hiding a flash bomb in your sleeve/hand and dropping it onto the ground behind your position, you'll slyly blind your opponent without blinding yourself giving you the upper hand. Now, this is a nice tactic, however spamming it or over-using it will make you look unskillful and reliant on the upper hand it gives you. Use it sparsely.

Yes sensei.

Arrow speed is definitely an underrated aspect of this RP, thanks for mentioning.

As for everything else, I understand.

Now, I want you to state and describe all of the different types of terrains that could be fought in, be as creative as you'd like. Along with this, I want you to list the different types of weather conditions and their significance to you in battle.

Suna - A very sandy terrain with sandstorms at times. The sand can be used in close quarters as a distraction, like throwing said sand at the eyes of your opponent and what not. If a sand storm hits, sensory can be used to gain a huge advantage, otherwise it would hinder everyone.

Konoha - Very leafy and full of forests. People can use these forests for misdirection. Once you hide behind a tree, create a clone and have it do something whilst you think and perform an attack your opponent would not be expecting. It also has a couple places with a bunch of water, as well as cities that you could hide from your opponent's too. Even fire users could light up a forest, causing an absurd amount of smoke to come up, negating some of the opponent's senses such as smell and sight.

Ame - Very rainy and not a lot of earth. Without earth, you couldn't perform a lot of earth jutsu, which would make you suck. Great for rain users though. Fields of vision are not too great with all the rain. A good place for water specialists to fight and train at.

Kiri - A place that is dubbed the hidden mist village. People that live here have enhanced senses bar their eyesight to move in the mist without hindrance. So the opponent is without eyesight, it can set up amazing combinations, and it also has a lot of water sources. great for water specialists.

Iwa - It is just rocky. A lot of earth for earth users. Not much else to be honest Lol.

Also, a snowy terrain. Due to the slipperiness, taijutsu would be ineffective. Although, water users would thrive here, using the snow as a water source of sorts.

This is all I can think of to be honest.

In 1 sentence tell me what is Ninjutsu.
Then, I'll post the template and start with the techniques. Btw, from the looks of this thread it would seem like you have learned 0 techniques.

I did learn zero techniques LOL.

I would have also accepted "Ninjutsu is a plot device."

I'm still in the process of crafting a method where you don't need to learn every technique but for now, let's just so with the tried and true every technique method to prevent confusion.

This is how I will train you: I will first post the technique and the describe it in my own words, and then state a few sentences about the usefulness of the technique both offensively and defensively. I would like you to respond by by telling me:

- how you would perform the technique in battle
- how you will use the technique offensively
- how you can defend against the tech
- whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting

I would like a few sentences for each point or a few bullets. Whatever you prefer. I'll be going at 2 to 3 techniques per post to keep the training moving. But I may do one technique for certain techs I feel deserve them.

OK sounds good man. I only came here for Kage Bunshin, Gojo Kibaku Fuda, Kuchiyose, Leech, and some others to complete my Tobirama bio xD.

And God bless your template. I like it way more than "perform the tech" templates.

(Fukumi Hari) - Hidden Needles
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: The user is able to call forth needles into their mouth and then spit them at their opponent with great accuracy.

This technique requires no hand seals thus is a perfect technique to combine with close range combat. The problem with the technique is that it only works in close combat as you can see that the range of the technique is short. There is one way to overcome the range problem, use a wind technique that is mid range so the wind pushes the needles all the way to mid range. The technique utilizes basic materialization of chakra. This is somewhat similar to how you cause shadow clones to materialize as solid beings but at a much much simpler level as these are inanimate. The user will focus chakra in this mouth and sharpen the chakra into thin needles. The needles can then be shot out of your mouth with incredible accuracy. To defend against this technique you may use a wind technique or fire technique or earth wall or water wave... basically anything other than lightning. Or you can just not waste a jutsu and use kunai to block them.

(Kage Shuriken no Jutsu) - Shadow Shuriken Technique
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:20
Description: Kage Shuriken no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing a giant Windmill Shuriken. When throwing the shuriken, the ninja will also throw a second giant shuriken to hide in the shadow of the first. The hidden secondary shuriken can then approach the target without their being aware.

This jutsu also doesn't require any hand seals. It's actually a very basic concept. The user throws two shuriken and infuses the shuriken on top with his chakra. The user will throw the shuriken so that one of the shuriken is directly on top of the other. The chakra infused shuriken must be on top for this to work. Keep in mind this is the theory that I created and there is no true theory behind the technique but mine makes a lot of sense. The user will use his chakra on the shuriken above to increase the strength of the shadow cast by it. The user uses the increased shadow to hide the shuriken on the bottom allow it to escape the opponents sight. This technique can be further be made more offensive by combining it with Rotating Shuriken or Crimson Nail Mist. But all in all it can only be used as a normal shuriken can be used and thus defend the same way unless of course it is powered up by own of those two techs I mentioned. I which case use the proper element strengths and weaknesses to counter. But the plain technique can be counter with any of what I mentioned for the previous jutsu or just an explosive kunai.

If I am in close range. I would supplement my taijutsu with this to take out their eyes, or cause a distraction for a lethal blow to land. I am a suiton user only, and a lot of people use earth armor. So I go for their eyes with this tech in close range xD

When I am in close range, I will spew it at various locations of their body while I plan to attack, hoping that they do what I want them to do, which is fall for my elaborate ruse.

Basically any technique. Erect a formation of rocks, spew needles at the needles, use a gunbai, etc.

Useful, not really interesting.

I would not. The metagame in NB is too strong.

At the start of a match, to test my opponent's wits. Maybe if my opponent threw a free form kunai I would use this Lol.

Blow away the tool with wind. Evade the first and you essentially evade the second, bar some specific scenarios in which I shall not encounter.

Interesting, but not useful

(Ninpou: Gekka Bijin) - Ninja Arts: Beauty Under the Moonlight
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user will create a swarm of sakura(cherry blossoms)petals to surround there opponents and swirl around them causing confusion. The user can then attack there opponent from any angle they choose.Blinds opponents eyes for the turn this jutsu is used.

A very interesting technique in my eyes. One of my most favorite techniques of all times. The technique in itself cannot be used to attack or defend. It's effects rely solely on creating a momentary advantage for the user which he can use to strike. The technique doesn't actually summon sakura petals but the user instead makes their chakra mimic sakura petals. The user will send their chakra out of their body and release it into the air. The user will cause their chakra to split into tiny petal-like pieces and will cause these petals to spin around the opponent and swirl around them like a tornado with the opponent in the center. The petals will reflect light and will blind the opponent as well as confusing them. This is excellent as it blinds the opponent from all sides and creates an opening for you to attack. Sadly this technique is only short range so only use it when you are entering short range to the opponent. You can combine this technique with taijutsu so you can attack you opponent and create an opening for that attack to possibly land. Keep in mind that sensors and eye techniques will not be affect.

I would use it as im running within close range of the opponent. They wouldn't be able to see me, and if they did hear me, it would be too late xD

I would use it to supplement my taijutsu. If not for that, maybe to string together with an illusion or something. Mainly for supplementing taijutsu.

Chakra sensing would work. An omnidirectional attack to be safe. Blow away the petals with wind. The counters are vast and many.

Both useful and interesting.

(Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu) - Cherry Blossom Snow Storm Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user will hurl kunai with pouches attached at their target. Upon impact, the pouches explode, releasing small explosive notes. Due to the large number of kunai thrown, a shower of notes will rain down on the target. The user will then throw one final kunai with an active explosive note at the target. It will begin to burn, and by igniting the falling smaller notes it will cause a gigantic explosion.

This jutsu is very basic. The user simply just throws kunai that have pouches attached to them. The pouch first explodes releasing explosive notes then the explosive notes or ignited with a last kunai that has an explosive note ready to explode. The simplest way to use this is to distract your opponent with Genjutsu so they cannot pay attention to the explosive tag, or blinding the opponent could work as well. You need to distract your opponent before you can use it because defending against it is very easy. You can just throw normal kunai to knock the kunai your pouches away before they explode. Or just a stronger wind or fire blast to completely push the kunai away and snuff the explosion.

(Oboro Bunshin no Jutsu) โ€“ Haze Clone Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 10
Damage N/A
Description: Haze clone technique is like the regular clone technique in creating intangible clones, although these clones will let the enemy go through them. The Sharingan can see through the illusions. However these clones cannot cause any damage as they are illusions only.

This technique is a bit more complex but you should be able to do it as it is basic manipulate of chakra. This is the stepping stone to higher clone technique specifically shadow clone technique. The user creates the clone using the clone hand seal obviously and will create it the same way he creates any clones. The user will split their chakra into even parts then release the chakra out of their body. For this jutsu, you must only visualize your appearance then recreate that visualization. This is why this jutsu is simpler. You only need to understand the visualization while for shadow clone there are additional steps. The clone is purely a visual creation hence illusions. They have no physical forms. Sensors and eye techs like the Sharingan can see through this easily.
