That's what they all say, but seriously, learning about the history won't change much at the point we are. Sure, learning more about the fight between Hashi and Madara and the events that followed will be helpful but other than that, it doesn't really matter. But yeah, we are going to learn a little more about Madara when Obito finds out how he awoke and gave Nagato the Rinnegan and all that jazz.
