Lack of Proof of Izuna's Death

I see people say all over the place that Izuna is dead. That is very possible, but I would like to clear something up: our source for that information is singular and unreliable. We have only heard it from Tobi as he TELLS Sasuke the story of his (as MADARA) past.

It isn't a flashback or thought, its a story, which means he could be lying. And I don't find Tobi to be a reliable source.

IF Tobi was lying he would've simply said so and it would've moved on - if the manga depicts a body it's not to illustrate a lie but to give more solidity to a death.
