We All know this was a kick-ass series. But the debate still goes on, who won between L & Kira. Yes we know of L's death by the hands of Light, but that was through the shinigami. Did that claim victory for Light, remember that L always stuck to that Light was Kira, even against all odds. So in your opinion, who truly won?​

If that's true, that doesn't 100% mean L lost. You have to look deeper than the surface to find the true depths

I think I read it somewhere a few years ago, perhaps in some interview with the authors. but no, he didn't actually say that in the anime.

No, she isn't. She commited suicide a year later. They hinted out it in the original anime, but in a manga special/anime one it's confirmed she commits suicide a year later.

L + Near + Mello won togeather. That's what Near said in the end anyway.

If you look back at the moments before L's death, he was slowly piecing it togeather but he didn't make it. I mean, he always suspected Light, he just needed to find proof. While he died though, he was able to confirm it ("I was right!").

Currently re-reading the manga and re-watching the anime. ​
