L was boss, I like him way better for various reasons

I prefer Light / Kira.
Light beat L. (Don't be mad.)
Sure Light was a psychopath but he was an interesting psychopath. He was incredibly insane yet the smartest person in the series (arguable) and he was trying to achieve a greater good ultimately.
It was nice to have the main character as the "bad" character for once. A nice change. XD
Would the end justify the means?
