Elijah Ganmi enters the training grounds, donned in a dark suit, and carrying a black suitcase with him. This was a new student, he thought. Perhaps this would be very enjoyable for both of them, as just after Genjutsu, Wind was his favorite skill to use. Nonetheless, inside the suitcase, a large amount of scrolls resided, which would be vital to the training at hand. Finally arriving at his student's destination, Elijah put down the suitcase, and addressed his student directly.
"Hello there, I am Elijah of the Ganmi clan, and I will be teaching you the ways of the Wind element. Before we begin, I'd like to gauge your knowledge on the subject at hand, what do you know about Wind release? How does it work, and what are its strengths and weaknesses? Notable users of the element, and how does it fit your fighting style, if you have one?"
He asked, his face as serious as ever, yet still welcoming.
"Oh, and give me your name as well, can't be addressing you as "student" the whole time, now can I?"
He said jokingly, lightening the mood a bit.
"Hello there, I am Elijah of the Ganmi clan, and I will be teaching you the ways of the Wind element. "Ok, so Fuuton is basically like chakra used to imitate wind. It's best for cutting stuff. So u turn your chakra into blades right? And Fuuton is strong against lightning and weak against Katon.

Don't worry, a good tip would be to make speech in color to make it different from the RP parts, add structure and form to your replies.
Elijah sees that his student was still new. It was nothing, it wasn't too long ago that he himself had started with training, and he didn't start out good at all, perhaps even worse.
"Very basic, but the concept is close. Wind release is one of the five basic elemental nature transformations. Its basically where you will use your chakra to manipulate Wind itself, and in various forms too. Wind comes forth as a very free element, available almost anywhere, and everywhere. Its pretty precise, and also a very offensive element, as compared to Earth, which is very defensive. Wind techniques usually are able to cause cutting damage, thanks to making manipulating Wind to be quite thin and sharp, or even blunt damage, in the form of more open and less focused blasts. Sometimes its used to increase the potency of weapons, or simply hand to hand combat, but also for some more far reaching fights, where you and the opponent stay at a distance. As you said, Wind is strong to Lightning, because it acts like an insulator and prevents the flow of electrons, basically rendering the Lightning useless in the process, whilst its weak to Fire, which basically feeds on the Wind, and simply becomes stronger when exposed to Wind. Very simple physics there, but useful to always remember. Wind can be used to augment your Water, in terms of adding some force to it, though some Wind techniques can also cause Water to be dispersed, depending on strength and size of the techniques clashing, of course. Wind offers a bunch of good techniques, ranging from blasts, tornadoes to supplementary techniques which raise dust off the ground, or simply allow you to change direction in the air. We'll be covering all those."
Elijah says, as he now reaches into his suitcase, and takes out a small piece of paper, square shaped and white in color.
"This here, is a chakra paper. It will tell me if you have an affinity for learning Wind release. You will channel your chara into the paper, which would cause it to be cut into two parts, like it was sliced with a sharp kunai. How would you do this, you wonder? Simply meditate with the paper, whilst holding it in your hand. Focus on the properties of Wind, feel it around you, know it, be it. Wind is everywhere, and nowhere at the same time. It is free, it is loose, it is flexible. Channel your chakra from your arm into your hand, though the paper to achieve the desired result. Sit under that tree."
Elijah says, as he hands Melodias the paper, and shows him the tree.
"Explain with detail what you do, and you feel as you meditate."

Ok, I feel the wind around me, so I need to just relax and make my chakra like this breeze. Like a breeze, like a.....
Melodias starts to nod off.

"I'M AWAKE!!! OH, sorry Sensei I am not really used to sitting still for too long. I will focus harder.
Melodias once again relaxes himself, but this time with the image of swinging his sword. He imagines the slash from his blade cutting the paper in two.
Upon doing this the first time the paper is cut, but Melodias doesn't realize so he continues the exercise.

Finally the paper was cut, and it seemed like Melodias had an affinity for Wind. Elijah smiled, as he nodded his head in agreement.
"Very good, it seems like you do have an affinity for Wind after all. Now, the real training starts. We will go through techniques of Wind release, starting with D rank, then C ranks, then B ranks, A ranks and finishing off with S ranks. With every technique, I will explain to you how you can utilize it and use it in battle. What I want from you is the following:
I want you to perform the technique against a clone of mine, give me 2 advantages and disadvantages of the technique, and how you would use it in battle. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
Before we start, have any questions?"

Elijah says, as he grabs a scroll from his pouch and throws it towards Melodias.
"Now that's the first technique. Very simple, by manipulating your Wind chakra, you will release simple blasts or streams of Wind from your limbs, like say, your right arm for example, or your mouth, depending on the situation. This technique is great for close range, since it doesn't require any hand seals, and can be done quite fast. This technique is also usually used to blast away projectiles like kunai, or shuriken thrown towards you in a fight. Now, I want you to use it against my clone."

Melodias gathers chakra in his stomach and fires a gust of wind from his mouth aiming directly in the face of the clone
An attack like this is good for knocking the opponent back or off balance. It is also good for intercepting projectiles, but on the down side it lacks real destructive power. If the opponent is strong enough they can charge through it giving them an opening. There is also the risk of it only fueling a fire attack.

OOC: Not bad for a first try! Though I'll give you some tips. In terms of performance, I always like to add more detail, like for example;
Melodias nods in agreement with his sensei. Without a doubt, he starts off by molding his Wind chakra in his stomach as the sensei's clone runs towards him. With a quick inhale, an exhale was followed. This was no ordinary release of breath, as a blast of Wind, not very large nor strong was released towards the clone. It would aim to strike the clone right in the stomach, with efficient force which causes him to disperse.
See the difference xD? Though I don't mind little RP, as you are still new, its just for future trainings and so ^^. Nice job on the advantages and disadvantages, and how you would use it in battle.

By manipulating your Wind chakra, you will create a gust of Wind, that layers an area in sand and dust. However, this would only work on a terrain that actually has one of those two, sand or dust. This doesn't mean that this technique can only be used in deserts, but in places like older caves, or an area that hadn't been active in a while. Dust gathers, and so, it can be used to your advantages. Usually, this layer of sand that the Wind blasts up, gathers on tree, making it difficult for an opponent to perhaps try and escape via climbing a tree. Another nice thing about the technique is that it can be used to lodge some sand or dust into the opponent's eyes, and temporarily blind them as you perhaps get close enough to initiate some Taijutsu. Use it against my oncoming clone."

Ok, noted and yeah I just started so I am just now getting the hang of things.
any criticisms are welcome.Ok, um so this one is a gust technique aimed at the ground I take it. I think I have an idea on how to use this.
Melodias molds his chakra into wind nature and tries to picture a big gust of wind that is strong enough to create a dust cloud. Melodias takes in a large breath and at the very moment the clone comes within range he release a large gust from his mouth. The gust creates a dust cloud that even layers the trees in dirt, but as for the clone that was hit by the attack close range. He is now laying on the ground desperately trying to rub his eyes to regain his vision.
I kind of feel bad for doing that
Melodias scratches his head, and wears an empathetic expression at the sight of his sensei's now blinded clone.Oh yeah the advantages. Well the technique actually seem like it would be good for countering a someone that fights with their eyes like those with Sharingan or Byakugan. For those types putting their eyes out of commission even for a short while can be a real life saver. I can also see the dust accumulating in the trees something like that could really help in keeping enemies like tracker shinobi from escaping.
As for disadvantages....well the blinding effect is only close range. That means taking a risk of allowing your opponent to get within striking distance. Not only that the dust cloud also cuts off my visibility as well so I don't think it would be wise to use this when facing multiple opponents that are on different sides of me. Someone could take advantage of the momentary lack of visibility to catch me off guard.

It can only be used in close range, so that should also be taken into account when performing the technique. Use it against my clone."

This is a bit too simple isn't it
Melodias channels the wind nature chakra into his hands and creates a sideways vortex that soon becomes a wall of sharp wind that halts the clone's advance.
Sensei I think this attack is only best against something like kunai. If I had a clone or something then I could lure my opponent into my range and make them crash into the wall. And if I could make the wall big enough this wall could protect against some low level projectile doton attacks. Other than that this attack seems like nothing but a barricade.
As for disadvantages there is the fact that this vortex creates the perfect conditions for an opponent to roast me with katon. Heck even an explosive kunai would probably leave me with some damage.
There is also the fact that this jutsu only protects one side. Above, behind, below they are all exposed, and I think a big enough wind attack can push through this defense.
Wait Elijah Sensei is it possible for this wall to deflect a ration attack? :wut:

Gotcha, Melodias takes a deep breath molding his wind nature chakra and then turns his head to the sides as he releases a stream of wind that pushes him off of the platform allowing him to evade the attack. Soon though gravity comes into play and Melodias starts to decent downward. Melodias blasts the stream at an angle towards the ground slowing his decent, but because he didn't watch where he was going Melodias crashes into a tree

This techinique will definitely take some practice. Anyway as for the advantages in higher locations this jutsu provides another range of movement that could be very beneficial when evading. It is definitely better than taking the fall from a high altitude. As for another advantage I could see that with this jutsu aiming it at the ground can kick up quite a bit of dust, that can be really good in reducing the opponent's visibility.
