Chapter 10: On the verge of Daylight
I prepared myself. Since their blood is still so fresh, it will be dificult for me to use their techniques multiple times in a row. There is no way I can use symphony of the night again so quickly, especially since even Saimen needed a few hours of cooldown in between uses. My oponent is the Hokage. Though Saimen was strong, she is still nothing to the full power of a Hokage seeking justice for the deaths of his citizens. This will be the most difficult fight of my life.
After a moment, we rushed at each other. Our arms locked against each other as we blocked each other's strikes. I felt my heels diging into the ground below me. I jumped into the air and allowed lord Hokage to fall forward. I created a glass spear and threw it at him. Without losing a step he caught it and threw it at me while I was still in the air. I barely dodged as the sharpened end sliced my shoulder.
I landed on the ground and punched the ground, unleashing my earth chakra. "Doton: Magnitude 10!" I screamed as a massive shockwave leveled buildings and sent the Hokage flying. "Katon: Tremendous Fireball Jutsu!" I screamed as the fireball flew towards the Hokage.
He landed and declared, "Suiton: Water wall!" A massive vortex of water surrounded him, reducing my fireball to cinders. But I took the advantage.
"Raiton: Thunder God Bomb!" I yelled as I sent out multiple thunderbolts that surrounded the water wall and formed a sphere of light. I could hear the Hokage scream from being electrocuted. I clapped my hands together and the ball burst, throwing the Hokage into a stone wall while a massive electric surge eminated from the blast zone. He tried to get up. "Fuuton: Updraft!" I said as I sent a blast of wind up from under the Hokage and sent him into the air. Before he could even react I prepared my next jutsu. "Suiton: High Preasure Water Blade," I declared moments before a stream of water left my mouth and fired at the Hokage. He spun his hip into the oncoming strike. He managed to dodge it and use it to push himelf back to the ground, but the strike grazed his hip and he was bleeding badly. The blood mixed with water and became useless to me.
He came down to the ground. His wound was deeper then I first thought. He had difficulty standing and moved with a limp. I think I severed a muscle. The wounded man disipeared.
"Space-time ninjutsu? Hm, thank you old fool. You reminded me that I need to feed on you as well, that and Edo-Tensei. Both will be usefull to me," I said as the man appeared behind me. I could see him clearly with my byakugan active.
"Dead bone pulse!" I yelled as a sharp bone erupted from my back and stabbed the man in the chest. He yelled out in pain before falling to the ground. "How do you like that. It is the Kekkei genki of the Kaguya clan. The one I took it from wasn't very good at it, so the technique still needs some work. But it is a good defensive jutsu. Now to finish you off old man," I said as I weaved handsigns. "Uzumaki Sealing Art: Dead chakra paralysation!" I said as I placed a seal on the back of his neck. His body went limp. "I knew that Ryuu Uzumaki sensei's sealing jutsus would come in handy. That reminds me. I almost forgot to do the blood soul transfer ritual," I said as I walked away from the helpless man.
I returned to the helpless bodies of Ryuu sensei and Koden. I created a fang sword in each hand. Slowly I dug the blades into each of their hearts. After 5 minutes I ripped the swords out, carrying the two men's hearts and souls which were absorbed upon the return of the fang swords to my chakra network. I felt my lifespan increase.
I heard a sound and ducked as a kunai flew above me. I turned around to see lord Hokage standing with his anbu. They must have undone the seal. A group of twenty or so Anbu surrounded me.
"Byakugan!" I declared as I took a Hyuga stance. "Legendary 8 triagrams style," I said as I moved with incredible speed, striking each anbu several times. They stood in place after I hit them as if they were attacked by a ghost. After hitting all 20 men, I struck the Hokage 124 times, hitting all of his chakra points. After the last hit I finished the name of my technique, "1024 palms!" All 20 men fell to the ground. Lord Hokage fell to his knees and began to couph blood.
I kicked the man to the ground and before he could resist. I bit him in his neck, drawing out his skills and knowledge. I pulled away and began to walk away.
"You are too old to be worth performing the ritual. The remainder of your lifespan is not enough to even add anything of worth to my own," I said as I began to walk away.
Suddenly I could no longer move. My body completely froze up. I looked ahead of me to see the figure of Saimen. She looked at me with her one usable sharingan.
"Fear of darkness!" she said as I fell victim to her Paralyzing genjutsu. The sky began to get lighter. A faint outline of the sun began to rise.
"Didn't you know Kyuu...all Kinjutsu have weaknesses and drawbacks. You turned yourself into a vampire. And now you will face the consequences of that. Saimen, don't let him return to his normal form. He will be executed by his own taboo jutsu," Lord Hokage said as he tried to get up.
The sun rose futher and further. The light began to shine on me. My skin and flesh caught ablaze. The sheer pain was enough for me to escape the genjutsu. I tried to make handsigns, but the flesh on my hands burned and my hands were dust before I could react. My body slowly turned to ash and I began to fall to the ground. With the last of my energy. I used my lower jaw to forcibly yank one of my fangs loose. I spat it out and it landed in the darkness of the sewers. My body continued to burn. It burned so much my nerve endings fried and I could no longer feel it. My body burned down all the way to my head. My vision turned dark as the last of my body turned to ash.
"It is done. He has finally faced judgement for his crimes," I heard as Lord Hokage said the last thing I would hear.
Epilouge
10 years after the incident.
Lord Hokage had declared the Vampire Technique to be Kinjutsu and all records on it were burned. Kyuuketsuki and his acts became a taboo subject and were never to be brought up in puplic conversation. Saimen had a daughter whome she named Ryuka after her fallen sensei. Though at the time we didnt know, Ryuka would be the mother of the famous Shishu Uchiha. He would become a legend of the Uchiha, as Saimen was forgotten with the rest of the prodigies in her team.
I was an eye wittness of the event. I saw everything. The brutal murder of Ryuu and Koden. The battle with Lord Second and even the execution. Kyuuketsuki was actually a good friend of mine. He was like a much older brother to me. At the time I was only 7 years old. After the incident, I went down into the sewer and found the fang that nobody else saw. Now I wear it around me neck as a reminder of the good friend I lost. One could say he helped inspire me to collect all the jutsu. He always told me about his dream to learn all the jutsu in the world. In a way, his dream lives on with me. Sarutobi sensei, Tsunade and Jiraiya don't understand my thoughts, so I kept the fang neclace hidden under my shirt. I only look at it when I think about him. Being that I was an orphan. He was the only one I had. It helped me to think about him when I was lonly
I sat by the river and was holding the fang.
"To think this fang caused so much trouble, OW!" I screamed as I accidentally stabbed myself with the fang. It managed to draw blood. It shocked me so much that I dropped it and it fell into the river. I jumped in to look for it but it was gone.
"Cmon Orochimaru! Sensei says we have a mission!" Tsunade yelled. I got out of the river and ran after her. Crying slightly over the treasure I lost.
(So ends the tradgedy of Kyuuketsuki Kagami (literally: Vampire mirror) But if you liked Kyuu, don't worry. This was only a prequal for a future work to come.
