Hashi could heal without handseals
which probably has something to do with yang chakra(life-force)which he inherited from the younger son
Naruto only has the Yang chakra sealed from Kurama
Naruto, being Kushina's son, already has incredible life-force and strong chakra
a strong chakra is needed to suppress the kyuubi
Karin who is an uzumaki has incredible recovery power
so naruto who is an uzumaki, already having incredible life-force is now given the yang chakra from the strongest bijuu. making him like Hashi or like the Younger son
and i think the whole time throughout the series when he would heal automatically was because of the yang chakra
He's not a full jinchuuriki but has the yang chakra to make him more like the younger son and hashi
maybe one of the reasons minato only sealed the yang chakra
