Kuzan is an incredibly tall, slim and muscular man. He has black, curly hair cut to chin length that fans out at the tips, tanned skin and an altogether lean, long build. His standard outfit while in the KIRIGAKURE consists of a white buttoned-up vest with standing collar over a long-sleeved navy blue shirt and matching white trousers and shoes, rarely accompanied by a matching suit jacket.He also wears a yellow tie divided geometrically by black lines and a sleep mask on his forehead. He also is seen wearing a green and purple sleep mask at all times. Altogether, his looks, combined with his manner, make him appear even younger than he actually is. As a child Kuzan had a grimace on his face. He wore a dirty light blue shirt and a purple pair of shorts with white stripes. He carried an umbrella tied on his back, a bottle of alcohol and a backpack. Also, his hair was curlier compared to his current hairstyle. After the death of Yagura he now wears a blue bandana and a dark blue trench-coat along with black pants and a white deep V-neck shirt. Kuzan is a very laid back man, showing no shock or surprise from almost anything. His lack of interest and "Lazy Justice" (as he describes his motto himself) often leads others to believe that he can not possibly be a shinobi of a high ranking. However, if he deems a situation worthy, he will take action. He appears to be benevolent.Kuzan has a sense of honor, as he keeps his word to not attack a group of ninja's after accepting a one-on-one battle with their leader. Kuzan's moral stance is unknown, but it is likely that he follows Moral Justice. He is disgusted by Yagura's brutal actions in dealing with situations, calling him a fool. While he may follow Moral Justice, he does understand the position his ranking puts him in, as he does not hesitate to do what is necessary for the needs of the KIRIGAKURE. Aokiji is a faithful shinobi of the KIRI . He always tries to follow orders but sometimes finds his own ideals in opposition to his orders.Even as he follows his orders, he sometimes exhibits a sense of mercy and honor that other KIRI officials do not. After witnessing the senseless murder of many innocent people, KUZAN may have come to realize the depths to which the KIRI kage YAGURA will sink to accomplish his goals. He has a recurring phrase, "Arara", meaning "Oh, my", which is frequently used when something surprises him.

『 Birth』:
Not a lot is known about KUZAN's birth place. It is however known that he was born in the Land of water. During the time when whole country was suffering through civil wars.
『 Happy Family』:
Kuzan spent his childhood in the KIRIGAKURE village. His parents were shinobi of high ranking. His father's name was Kashi and mother's name was Marna. They were both highly skilled and greatly respected throughout the village. Due to their high ranking they were often on missions and didn't get to spend much time with their Kuzan. But due to his parents respect throughout the village Kuzan was able to get along with people. He made few friends and his life was good. Their family was overall very happy with their lives. At the age of seven Kuzan joined the Ninja academy. He was talented but a bit of slacker so he often got scolded from his teachers. But he was talented and also due to his parents high ranking he often used to get off the hook easily.
『 Tragic Night』:
At the age of 13, Kuzan had become a chunin. One tragic night when kuzan came home after a mission, he saw a man jumping off his house wall. He immediately knew something was wrong So he huried to his home and he saw both his parents in blood with blades through their bodies. Kuzan tried to help them but it was to late as his father had already died while his mother was taking her last few breaths. kuzan wanted to cry as hard as he could but he couldn't since he was a shinobi and was taught to never to shed any tear.

With her dying breath Kuzan's mother told him the hardest truth of his life, that he wasn't their son. They found Kuzan on a way back to the village 13 years ago on one of the islands in Land of Water. At first they thought it was a trap and wanted to kill him right there but couldn't do it. He was wrapped up in a basket and was lying beside a tree with a note that said "These might be my last words. Anyone who reads this please take care of my son as he might be the only member of his clan alive". They picked him up and brought him to the village where they brought him up as their own son. she told Kuzan to not hate them for never telling him the truth but hetold her that he was grateful to have them as his parents. With her dying breath marna made kuzan promise that he will find the truth about his clan and will continue to live in KIRI village. Kuzan could just shake his head in agreement and say not even one word.
『 Unwavering Vow』:
After his parents death Kuzan promised himself that he will not slackoff anymore untill he finds his parents murderer and the truth about his history. In just one year he was promoted to S-Jounin level.

Kuzan knew that in order to fulfill his vow he will have to get stronger. For this he asked many people to train him but no one would agree Untill one day he sees an awesome person who was using wind style techniques with great skill. Kuzan without wasting any moment approached that person. After formal introduction kuzan came to know that he was NONI. He asked Noni to train him which he accepted after telling kuzan that training would be hard. So now he is training FUUTON with Noni Senpai
After few days of meeting NONI kuzan one day saw a person who was in fight and creating water out of nothing. After the fight kuzan asked that person about him. He told kuzan that he was USHIRO. Kuzan made a request that he wanted to learn his techniques and that no one accepts his requests. So ushiro agreed on teaching kuzan Suiton release. Real training to achieve his aim had just begun
