Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi.

After the sword's owner, Susanoo, was banished from heaven by the reason of killing one of Amaterasu´s Attendants and destroying her rice fields, he descended to the Province of Izumo where he met Ashinazuchi, an elderly man who told him that the Yamata no Orochi ("Eight-Branched Serpent"), who had consumed seven of his eight daughters, was coming soon to eat the last one: Kushinada-hime.
Susanoo decided to help the family and investigated about the creature, soon he begged Ashinazuchi permission to marry Kushinada-hime, which was granted; having his plan ready, he transformed his wife into a comb so he could have her near in the battle. As the great snake came, it put each one of his eight heads through the gates the god built, searching for the daughter; as a bait the god had put big amounts of sake after each gate, the snake took the bait and got drunk; having an easy chance, Susanoo took the Worochi no Ara-masa and cut every head off the snake, proceeding with the tails, in the fourth one he found an exceptionally great sword, the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi.
Having the sword in his hands he returned to the heaven offering the sword as a reconciliation gift to his sister Amaterasu.

What I still don't understand is: How what Itachi able to find something without a physical form, I firmly believe that it had a physical form
in the first place and that the power is ''attachable'' to the Susano'o ?

Also it hard for me to believe that itachi found this weapon before orochimaru, we are talking bout power hungry orochimaru who
want to collect everything, Itachi isn't like that at all.

But what is told in the story I put in the spoiler is just exactly what happened in the Sasuke vs Itachi fight, and basically ended up with
the ''sword of kusanagi'' and it was given to Amaterasu, We all know that Sasuke is the amaterasu expert in here, so could this be the sword of kusanagi in a non- physical form ?

Sasuke Uchiha claimed that the chokutō he wields is a Sword of Kusanagi; it has a black scabbard and matching hilt (these are both blue in the anime), and is a larger size than a normal chokutō. Despite this, it has none of the natural specialities as the one Orochimaru wields, such as the extension of the blade and the ability to cut through almost anything, both of which are natural attributes of the Kusanagi.
To compensate for this, Sasuke can channel his lightning chakra into the blade with chakra flow, which will increase its sharpness greatly through high frequency vibrations, as well as increasing its cutting range. This would allow Sasuke to cut through almost anything, as well as numb the target who has been pierced by this lightning blade.

Explanation -> From something of the same general kind. Considered as falling down to same category, however often seen as an separate to it's twin.

I don't think Kusanagi has an astral body.​

well juugo was able to attach or equip which ever word you prefer his curse mark powers with sasuke's sussano, it doesnt sound too shady that you can attach other weps to a sussano.

God knows why the anime decided to make Oro's Kusanagi a jian.

OT: Totsuka is another variant of Kusanagi too, although there's been mistranslations calling it the counter for the latter.

I think that the Kusanagi itself is material (something like chakra?) and that Totsuka is a pure form whereas Orochimaru and Sasuke's swords are imbued with it. I believe that the properties of it can be altered before being "set", that being the reason for each sword having different abilities.
