Kurotsuchi is from the Boruto manga and Mei is from Shippuden. Both Mei and Kurotsuchi have access to common suiton/doton techs that a large number of no named fodders from their respective village have used.

Starting Distance: 15 m
Location: Where Kinshiki fought Kurotsuchi, Chojuro and Sasuke
Intel: Full

Mountain sandwich one shots her. He can protect himself from mist by coating his body in rocks.

Why do people mix Kitsuchi, Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi all the time. I'm talking about the chick from the Boruto Movie.

Didn't we discuss this over VM's? I think Kurotsuchi wins. Seems to be faster, much better in CQC, and has the elemental advantage and versatility to beat Mei medium-high difficulty.

We discussed who is more versatile but I wanted to extend the discussion to the VS section. However, this forum is pretty dead so it may not matter. How do you think Kurotsuchi can deal with acid mist and do you think the scale of her doton techs should be able to handle suiton?

Kurotsuchi can travel underground in the Boruto manga, and had no problem locating that Kaguya family dude (Don't recall his name). So she should easily avoid the Acid Mist and find Mei's location to force CQC, where her feats dominate Mei's.

The little feats she has make her greater than Mei. Whether we look at the Boruto Movie, Novel, Manga, or all three, she is able to fight against Kinshiki up close. That guy is on par with Sasuke (and perhaps slightly better since his relentless blitz made Sasuke go Ameno). The fact he couldn't end her with all his power and speed is evidence she's above Meis level now in most likely every category.

Doesn't Mei's water jutsu extend from below ground?

From below ground? I didn't think so but could also be wrong.
Water pillar does extend from underground.

Suiton Suijinchuu

From underground a violent solid pillar of water explodes forth. In an instant hell fire is erase. Godaime Mizukage Mei Terumi activated this jutsu to perfectly block Madara's Katon Jutsu.

Oh, nice! Thanks!

I wonder if it has something to do with using existing water already underground or something ..
Similar to Sasuke using real lightning for Kirin.

They were fighting in a desert so I doubt there'd be much water underground although Madara did use mokuton in the area. I doubt she can utilize water from mokuton for the purposes of her own suiton, after all it came from the ground, not nearby trees. I always used to assume the water is produced by her own chakra but than again this might be impossible. If the battlefield is a non desert location, the technique should be even larger.

Yeah I'm not really sure.. I guess then she essentially spawns chakra water underground first and then attacks with it.

Manga is read top to bottom so obviously .

Well obviously I don't take the time to remember such a worthless feat for a worthless character lol

Water pillar probably does use external water then
