Kurama was controled by madara during his fight with Hashirama,thats why kurama could know about madara's chakras.

Kurama can apparently detect chakras. I don't want to go find it but in the beginning of Shippuden when Naruto and Sasuke fight the Kyuubi says to Sasuke "You have chakra even more sinister than my own...the same chakra as Uchiha Madara" and then Sasuke blows up the bubble kyuubi and says "I don't know who that is"

I think Kurama was just mad. You can see in the box that he's already tied to that giant rock. I think he was just expressing his anger towards Tobi.
