Kurama once roamed free

This Idea of Kurama being free came from the quote Hashirama said to Kurama:

" I cannot allow you to roam free anymore."

Now some of you may try to say no, it meant that during the battle with Madara he could not allow it to roam free. BUT NO.

Kinkaku and Ginkaku went to capture the 9-tails but they failed.... Meaning the 9-tails at some point was free. And then Madara got it from nowhere..

And also, Mito was the first Jinchuriki.. Before the 9-tails was just a Natural Disaster.

What are your thoughts? I think you will agree with me.
