Kurama isn't a "free power up"

gives you a boost to basically everything
Gives you durability
isnt hard to get only by learning its name(something naruto could have done in part 1)
Doesnt require hard work to obtain other than KCM

The other bijuu are debatable but kurama is fcking OP and it was only half!

A "free power up" is something given to you instantly in exchange for nothing, so, considering Naruto was forced to give up his mom, dad, and a normal life (from birth) and it took 16, almost 17 years to gain control of Kurama's power and even longer to earn his friendship to unlock his full capabilities, Kurama's power was an incredibly difficult thing for him to acquire and therefore can not be considered a "free power up"

Yet not all Uchiha awaken sharingan. Sasuke was like what 7 before he awoke his eyes? Meanwhile Naruto had his since 30 ish minutes after his birth.

To answer your question, no. Sasuke was born an Uchiha, and all Uchiha are born with the ability to awaken the Sharingan. It doesn't take another being forced in your body to use that ability, it's completely natural for them to obtain the Sharingan. It's been in Sasuke's DNA and all his ancestors for a long time. The same is not the case with Naruto and his ancestors. Therefore Kurama is a free powerup by that definition. It depends how you look at it.
