Minato sealed Kurama's half inside him and died....Does that make Kurama dead too? And when Minato was Edo he and Kurama were like buddies....so kurama existed like a conscience in him or what or he too got revived....Also earlier when asking for Kurama's chakra naruto said thta "you would die too if i die" so how does this work exactly i am still confused...can someone explain? What will happen to a biju if jinchuriki dies with biju inside him/her? And how did that thing with Minato work out? Was kurama sealed in his body or soul or what?

It would take kurama a few years to regenerate but it would come back. Minato split kurama in half ying/yang and sealed half inside of him and the other in naruto, So they both were kurama's jins in a sense. One yang kurama's and other ying kurama's

1-Sealed in Shingami's stomach fighting... As for being dead or alive, Kurama is similar to Souls in Nv in the first place (can it be classified in the same sense?)

2-gone for a period of time...then reform.

The Seal is the exact Same as Naruto's, and Eight Trigrams seal.

When a Jinchuriki dies the Bijuu "dies" in way, it ceases to exist until after some time its chakra forms up again giving back its shape.

Its like it goes to sleep.

Bijuu are incapable of dying since they are forces of Nature themeselves.
