Shikimaru isnt dumb, he knows he cant take down this team alone. Shikmaru, however, is smart enough to know how useful his jutsu is. So similarly put, Shikimaru piggyback Ay the whole fight.

Kakashi has no feats to react to V2 and Shikimaru on Ay's back means the end of a Taijutsu user since shadow possession stops him on contact.

No he doesn't need prep. He simply jumps on Ay's back and piggyback rides him. Any physical contact with Ay would mean shadow possession freezes Kakashi or Guy, which Ay will kill or body slam to death.

lol i was actually trying to appreciate shikamaru...! because i prefer manga over vs threads.... but here in vs threads you cannot use a strategy to beat opponents.. and if you are implying shikamaru even has a chance in any way against the likes of gai or kakashi without any plan then he gets wrecked, doesn't matter if he is on Ay's back because gai in 7th gate can very much keep up with Ay and can arguable beat him. and kakashi ain't there just for show.. he knows about shikamaru's shadow possession. gai can arguably over power shadow possession and can also one hit KO shikamru even on Ay's back because Ay can't dodge gai and make shikamaru dodge as well... he'd be slow infact coz shikamaru is no ohnoki... shikamaru on Ay's back would result in both of them getting KO'd...

This plan only works if Shikamaru makes contact. Not Ay. Shikamaru's attempts are easily countered, whether it's by Gai in CQC or by Kakashi using a long range Kamui to take this guy (or both) out when Ay is busy fighting Gai. He can't sense Kamui, nor will he feel it until it's too late.

And even if this terrible plan wasn't so terrible and they caught Gai (Never Kakashi considering he has Gai protecting him from Ay's speed) what do they do next? If he tries to body slam Gai, Kamui would warp him away. Kamui would warp Gai away and back to safety the moment he was caught by the shadow. This plan never works. Ever.

Team 2 stomps. Gai plays with Ay in CQC and obliterates with a Hirudora, or he gets into CQC with Ay where Kakashi snipes him while he's not paying any attention.

Kakashi cannot warps things out of Kamui world so no, he would need to personally go in Kamui world and personally get Gai out. This mindset is not allow in my thread.

That's Shikamaru using his shadow first, and then connecting to Kakashi's Shadow, and then making contact with the foe. Which doesn't work if he's on Ay's back. His shadow won't touch Ay's shadow if he's not on the ground and instead on top of Ay. If he can't connect his shadow to Ay's shadow, then you can forget about this whole backpack nonsense working.

Baseless assumption. Warping things in and out and yourself in and out work the same exact way. The rest is irrelevant. Kakashi using Kamui when he needs to isn't out of character. Don't make excuses to nullify arguments that would end Ay and his partner's life.

If Gai is caught, then Kamui warps the opponent away once Ay is still. That simple.
