Naruto doesnt need them to float, all his clones and the original flew without it against kaguya, madara flew to cast IT when he had none

If memory serves, Naruto showed his ability to fly shortly after coming back from the brink of death, the simple answer, flying was an ability he obtained from the Sage of the Six Paths, not an ability he gained from Kurama.

Naruto cannot fly. He can just float using the Gudodama. Maybe Kurama is too big to float, or he can't use his Gudodama to float in that state.
