I don't think the village shown earlier was the cloud village.
By the destruction of hq can we only assume that the cloud village is destroyed becoz of its sheer magnitude.

The bottom panel shows the location of the shinobi force. Kumogakure is located more to the center of the map, rather where the arrow further to the left is pointing is actually exactly the location of Kumogakure.

Pretty sure it was because the city that was shown where HQ was located in was Kumo so that sucks.
