you made the lightning hit the ground, its gone, theres nothing to manipulate after your first attack, this is not some lightning jutsu that can ignore the rules of electricity, this is actual electrical current we are talking about, which has reached earth, and therefore dissipates in the ground no 2 turns of constant lightning bolts, all the lightning went into one attack, it was used, it was evaded. Please for the love of god will you use logic when disputing things instead of the descriptions of outdated techniques that are prone to misuse.

darui successfully evaded your misused technique, and attacked you, you then further tried to abuse the technique, resulting in your loss.

Awh you people are always so adorable when there's trouble in paradise

So due to situation I will judge this fight and that will be the end of that.

Issue #1: Lili's Lightning Manipulation jutsu.

Yes it's probably a very old custom jutsu with quite a poor explanation which is often the case with old custom. However compared to a lot of other customs from the same time, this one doesn't really causes much problems. Everything she did with that custom is, on itself, perfectly possible within the bounds of her custom jutsu as the manga. It's really beyond me why so many people found it necessary to start giving a scientifical discussion of how lightning is made and blablabla how it comes from below or above or blablabla or how it disappears in the ground. Why wouldn't it be possible to control natural lightning? People control the earth continuously for their earth jutsus, water for their water jutsu, wind for their wind jutsus and Kirin proves that it's possible to manipulate real lightning. The reason as why it's so less conventional is that you rarely will have access to nearby natural lightning.

Why would the characteristics of Kirin be any different from normal lightning jutsus? Yes Kirin is extremely powerful, any natural lightning is powerful, however does that mean that its fundamental characteristics are different? No. The reason as why Kirin is made like that is that normally a shinobi can't produce such powerful lightning. Even if he would use all his chakra, it would just not be enough. A human can't create such a force, so an alternative is let nature do it for you and you just guide it with your chakra. So yes even though the lightning itself is natural made, it's not void of chakra. For starters the clouds were created with a jutsu, so some chakre residue of the fire jutsu remains (though not chakra that is still under control) in the clouds. On top of that you need to take control of the lightning with your chakra as otherwise the lightning will strike random and indiscriminately. Finally last time I checked normal lightning doesn't come crashing down on the Earth in the shape of a dragon, meaning there is an amount of shape manipulation involved. The earth used for an earth jutsu afterwards will remain as it ended up during the battle, water jutsus will make everything wet, seep into the ground and evaporate, fire jutsus will burn whatever it is they set on fire, but will eventually be extinguished and leave ashes behind. However as long as they are infused with chakra and used for jutsus, they will remain. It's no different for lightning. When it stops receiving chakra, lightning jutsus will disperse as normal lightning, however as long as it's infused with chakra, it can remain, natural lightning or not.

So yes everything Lili did with that jutsu is perfectly possible: she can take control of Kirin, she can manipulate and separate it and she can make them stick into the ground without them disappearing for two turns as she used chakra to do it.

Yes it's a sneaky jutsu, but hey what did you expect when you started this battle? You are fighting Lili. She is sneakiness in the flesh with a rack and a very twisted mind.

I do need to say that timing is important and I'm not really sure about the exact order of the jutsus when Lili took control over Kirin, however Darui didn't had any issues with it on the moment she did it an he seemingly continued the battle like everything was ok and accepted that she took control over the lightning, so there is no reason to elaborate on that any further.​

Issue #2: The covered territory where Kirin struck.

Now the main issue which caused the argument was that according to Lili Darui materialized/walked through the lightning sticking into the ground as the lightning covered the 30-50m territory while Darui says he interpreted it as that the lightning only struck on 50m, while he was standing on 40m, thus missing him. It's true that Lili's formulation could be interpreted in both ways, however when I first read it, I instantly assumed that she was saying she she struck the 30-50m zone, that was simply the most logical interpretation. Why would she only struck a circle on 50m? Why would she make a cage for a guy who can phase through it? Even more so when the biggest weakness of that tech, which was shown in the manga by Konan, is that if you can cover him on all sides for a certain time period, he has to materialize in it. That she would have just hit the 50m yard doesn't make sense, I mean that would be like "Holy crap she missed me! Hot damn she really missed me! Full charge forwards! There's an innocent virgin right over there ripe for the plucking!", why would you even need to become intangible at all? She missed you.

So yeah the way how Lili intended to be was the most logical interpretation of what she was doing, but because there still could be some confusion due to her formulation I originally just was going to say you two should simply left of from that point on as the cause of the argument was confusion about a certain move. But then I suddenly realized something. Darui said he became intangible. Why? He said he assumed the lightning struck on 50m, but he was standing on 40m, so why becoming intangible for an attack that missed you? Even better he clearly said that he let the lightning pass through him and that happened when he was standing on 40m. That doesn't really rhyme with that excuse of him thinking that it would strike only on 50m he gave afterward. So Darui in battle acted like lightning struck on 40m, so combining everything he said and did in the least the 40-50m zone was full of lightning. That invalidates the interpretation it only struck on 50m. The only interpretation that is left then is that Lili attacked the 30-50m zone.​

Final Conclusion:​

One everything Lili did with here Lightning Manipulation Jutsu is perfectly possible. Two she attacked the 30-50m zone and both combatants acted according to that interpretation. That interpretation of only striking the 50m line is not valid. Three Darui materialized and charged forward on the 2nd turn Lili used her jutsu (which could last two turns), meaning the forest of lightning bolts was still there, thus he got zapped. My judgement is that Lili wins and that's final. I'm the head of RP, so no one can overrule that judgement. Suck it up as I don't want to get a series of VM's and PM's saying and explaining I'm wrong and why. I will reverse two of the three infractions given in this thread if you finally move on.​
