* As I walk on the training field, I try to imagine the wonderful things I will learn today from my sensei. I then gaze up at the sky, seeing the heat fluxuate throughout it, leading me to comment about the humidity of the day at hand. "Man, it sure is hot today."I say as I wipe the sweat off of my forehead. I then look to my right and see a tree not to for off. "I don't think my sensei would mind if I rested under the shade a little". I then proceed to walk to the tree in a quick manner, where I then sit under its natural shade, waiting for the arrival of my sensei.*

The summers of the village were never to be underestimated. And to think, training on such a hot, sunny day!
Whipping out a handkerchief that I seemed to keep with me these rather heat wave days, I spotted a tree ahead - suddenly, I was quite glad that the training grounds were dotted with trees...why, I don't think I had ever noticed them before...
Upon arriving at the tree, I was quite taken by surprise - there was already someone sitting beneath it! And here I was thinking it was the perfect spot to wait for the student named ZandaT...
A surprised expression passed his face upon seeing me however, and upon closer inspection, I realized he was the person I was supposed to teach today!
"Aaaahhh, my apologies, Zanda-san," I said. "I suppose I am quite late..."
Rubbing the back of my head self-consciously, I glanced around the area. "I was to teach you Genjutsu, correct? So, for the basics, what do you know of this art and why it would be vital to be creative when using it?"

Dozing off as I waited for my sensei, I suddenly here a voice that seemed quite slurred to me, due to the fact that I was half awake. As I turn towards the blurred figure I start to see certain aspects of the person that seemed familiar to me. "Sensei?" I said as I rubbed my eye's. Now realizing it was him I then stand to my feet, yawning, as I answer the last question that was given.
" Genjutsu? From what I know it's a sister art to ninjutsu and both are utilized through usage of chakra, and forming of hand seals. The main difference is, unlike ninjutsu, genjutsu attacks the opponent through the manipulation of the flow of chakra in the their brain, causing a disruption in their senses which leads them to experience illusions. It would be quite vital to be creative while using it, because you're imagination fuels how deadly or misleading your genjutsu can be." he then looks at his sensei for a response.

"Sensei?" Well, it appeared I wasn't the only one who was slightly enervated by the hot day.
Slightly tapping my foot against the ground, I listened to his explanation as I nodded slowly. "Excellent response," I replied. "It is precisely the way you described it. Frankly put, you manipulate your enemy's five senses." Weaving a single handseal, I directed chakra into Zanda's nervous system as I deliberately altered each of his senses. "You must remember to be specific when dealing Genjutsu," I continued. "Firstly, the eyes is the way we gather the most information. Do you see a beach before you?" Imagining a warm beach, I delivered the imagery to Zanda. "Then, you move on the ears, followed by the nose, the touch, and the taste. Hear the waves crash and smell the salty air. Feel the sand beneath your feet, perhaps even taste the freshness of the air."
Pausing, I glanced over at Zanda, who seemed to be in a daze. "Now, given such a circumstance, in what ways could you bring yourself out of a Genjutsu?"

As I heard Kritsugu first mention a beach, I made an awkward face knowing that we was on the training field, but when I turned to my left I saw it. I saw the crystal clear waters. I heard the waves slightly crashing up against the shore. I smelt and tasted the fresh salt in the air from the water particles of the waves that crashed against the shore and escaped into the air. It was quite obvious I was in a Genjutsu, the fact being that we were just at the training field, but it didn't stop me from stripping into my underwear and diving head first into what seemed to be the ocean. As I smashed into tree head first, giving me a nose bleed, I was brought back to my senses where I then heard Kritsugu's question. "Owe owe owe! Tsch, well pain is a now obvious way to get out of a genjutsu and I also heard you can escape Genjutsu techniques through surging you're chakra. With techniques like Kai." he said as he grasped his now broken noes. " I hope every technique you show me won't be this painful."

I laughed lightly, watching Zanda clutch his broken nose. As a medical student, I gently placed a hand over it, healing it with the appropriate chakra as the bone snapped back into its place.
"Well, don't get all hustled up," I chuckled. "I would very much like to dive into some waves myself right now as well. But good response, however, you're missing several things."
After handing him a napkin to clean himself up, I formed the Tiger seal, creating a single clone. "Kai. Kai is the usage of disrupting your chakra, but it counts as a move as well if someone else does it for you. For example, my clone, or a jinchuuiki's bijuu. You also covered pain, which is excellent, as pain overcomes all other emotions, as of the human body, but there is one more concept."
I tapped my clone's shoulder, indicating his entire body. "What do you know of full body chakra surges?"

"Got it. Kai is disrupting you're chakra." I say, as I take the napkin from Kritsugu to wipe the blood from my nose. I then see him make a clone, as I further listen to his instruction. "Hmmm, full body chakra surges. From what I know, it's just increasing the rate of you're chakra throughout you're whole body, which can give you added effects if you use elemental chakra. I also know there are a few elemental chakra surging techniques, like Added Weight Rock and Nagashi."

"Perfect response," I replied. "I believe we have covered everything for now, so let's start simple." With a single hand, I brought it up towards my head, tapping upon it.
"Much like how I transported you to a beach earlier, do the exact same thing to me. Remember, send out your chakra, target my nervous system, and then manipulate my five senses."

Welcome back :overjoy: The most I have ever experienced with jet lag is about 2-3 hours. lol I can't imagine the amount you have to adjust to.
------------------------------------------
"Ok!" I then relax and perform 1 hand seal, sending my chakra into your nervous system, where I then manipulate your senses. Suddenly you see the sun setting into the ocean at the horizon. Feeling the heat disappear with, and being replaced by a light mid-day breeze. You start to hear the various bugs of the night making their different and unique sounds. You then start to smell smoke, and you turn to your left to see a small bonfire, roasting two fish on a stick. The smell of the well prepared fish is so great, that you can almost taste the different seasonings used. "If only a ninja's life can always be as calm as this Sensei...."

Ahaha, I guess I'm alright, but some people are irritating me to no end.
I reached out for the fish, wishing that it was real for just a slight moment, and as my stomach rumbled loudly, I suddenly realized where I was.
"I'm almost tempted to sit down and share the fish together with you," I chuckled. "But nice use of creativity, and great scene." Forming a single handseal, I released myself out of the Genjutsu with Kai. "Alright, let me introduce you to a concept, known as cause and effect."
I started pacing along the soft grass of the Training Grounds, pondering as I did so. "Cause and effect," I began. "For example, if you used a Wind Jutsu to blow away the explosive tag, thus, I can follow up with a prepared fire move to disregard your Wind Jutsu, so that it overcomes it and is sent back at you two times stronger.
By taking the upper hand, you can juggle your opponent around and have them react the way you want to, as we are all forced to make moves and survive in a battle. This is most often used in chess, where it is necessary to be able to predict several moves ahead of the opponent."
Cocking my head slightly, I stopped in my tracks and glanced at Zanda. "So, how might you utilize this concept with such an environmental changing Genjutsu?"

Yeah, just stay calm, and find something you enjoy to release stress.
------------------------------------

After Kritsugu dispels the Genjutsu, I notice that he paces back and fort. I then listen in as he goes over his Cause and Effect theory. He then ponders at Kritsugu's question. "Hmmm, Now that I think of it. I think Earth would be the best element to use in combination with this jutsu. Most Earth based jutsu manipulates the terrain around the user, and this Genjutsu that you should me allows you to leave the terrain at your disposal. Like chess you would use this Genjutsu first, utilizing the one hand seal, to bate the opponent into thinking that you are doing an earth jutsu when you just manipulate the earth around them. You could also make a fake water source to appear close by, leaving your opponent with false security. It is only logic that they would use a surrounding lightning jutsu to defend, as Lightning>Earth, and then I would follow up my attack with a swift strong fire jutsu. Now you have put your opponent in a position where you want them. Water>Fire, seeing the newly created water source, it would surely bait the opponent into utilizing it. There jutsu would not work, leaving them to fall victim to you'r fire move. I say all of this with a slight confidence, but still unsure. Correct me if I'm wrong Sensei. I say as I look at Kritsugu for a mark of approval.

"Perfect response," I replied. "You are indeed correct. Remember that there are only five elements, each with their own weakness and strength. It is up to you to utilize them appropriately, in this case, getting the correct response from your opponent."
Letting a small smile run across my face, I took out a kunai, dangling in front of me as if I were holding a hopeless victim. "You can always, of course, have fun playing with your opponents."
Flinging the weapon towards a nearby tree, it struck its spot head on the middle of the trunk. "Anyways," I mumbled. "Well done. I'd like to go over another basic, before we move on, however. What do you know of handseals?"

"Hand seals huh, I know you are suppose to manipulate the exact amount of chakra into the hand seals as you perform a jutsu, and with that being said then I guess hand seals would be an amplifier for your chakra when doing jutsu that requires a element not around or just requires a large sum of chakra. That's why with training, some ninjas can do moves that require a lot of hand seals with only on or sometimes none."

"You are absolutely correct," I responded equally. "However, there is one more scenario I'd like to implement. Let us say that your opponent had a jutsu that required five handseals, and yours' only required three. How might this affect the battle, and how might you utilize such an aspect to your advantage as well?"

"Well Sensei, it can affect the battle in many ways. It can change the control of the battle by making the opponent have to change plans in order to avoid or counter the attack you just released also leaving them open for a finisher. Or you can also maintain the control of battle, by utilizing the speed of your coming jutsu to keep the opponent in check, leaving you with with more options to go in for the kill also keeping the opponent at bay. Basically depending on the jutsu being released the slight time factor can give a user leverage in a battle."

"Perfect response," I replied, a smile spreading across my face. "Yes, it makes your move faster, so in reality, you should be able to move faster than him. It pays a lot to notice things like that during fights. Small attention to important things can really make a huge difference."
Stretching my arms, I was quick to move on to the next jutsu. "So this next jutsu has five handseals," I informed Zanda. "I want you to focus your chakra into me once more and make it appear that you've dissolved into many petals. Actually, cherry blossom petals...Then, make those cherry blossoms around me and make sure you obscure my vision.
Then describe what purpose this serves in a battle."

"Alright" I said. I then performed 5 hand seals and then targeted my released chakra into Kiritsugu's chakra points in his head. I then left up my downsided open right hand towards the face of my Sensei, and he suddenly see's my hand and then my body start to dissolve into a plethora of cherry blossoms. Then the multitude of cherry blossoms then start to move in an irregular spinning motion around the body of Kiritsugu obscuring his vision, but allowing him to see random parts of the battle field at random angles and random times. Kiritsugu should then hear the voice of his pupil coming from random directions while momentarily seeing his pupil appear from different angles when the petals open up at random times. "The purpose you ask? I think the point of this jutsu is to send a close range target into a state of panic and confusion. Confused that he can't see his opponent clearly and panicked because they don't know where the next attack may come from." I say as hop around my genjutsu bond Sensei and then ending the sentence with me behind him with my kunai out against his neck.

Upon feeling the cold, hard steel of the kunai upon my neck, I nodded in acknowledgement of Zanda's success. "You are precisely correct," I responded to his words through flurries of cherry blossom petals. "Panic and confusion are definitely psychological aspects of this particular, however, the most concept is what you mentioned - the obscuring of the vision."
Releasing myself from the Genjutsu with a simple handseal and a spark of chakra through Kai, I took out a scroll from my pouch, summoning from it a simple whiteboard. I took the marker, writing upon it three words.
"Field of vision," I begin. "By knowing where your opponent's eyes are directed at all times allows you take advantage of this and send a jutsu from a direction where you know they won't be looking at. This is also especially important when you are battling against Doujutsu users, especially Byakugans, because they only have one blind spot out of their 360 vision.
This jutsu blocks your opponent's field of vision, so that you are able to execute other moves upon him while he scrambles to see again."
Crossing my arms, I fixated Zanda with a stern gaze. "This is one of the many ways to be creative when disguising your next move in a battle. By outplaying your opponent or tricking them, it allows you to defeat them in battle. Don't forget it."
After replacing the marker, I took yet another item out of my pocket, handing it to him for inspection. "This is an explosive tag, a very important ninja tool. What do you know of these?"

I take the explosive tag from Kiritsugu and with the kunai still in my hand I attach the two while talking. "Well kunai's attached with explosive tags is a very common weapon used in the ninja world. Explosive tags on a whole cause a small but dangerous explosion. They can be used to set traps, as a distraction, or even as a swift direct attack when attached to a kunai. The possibilities of attack is endless when it comes to this tool. It all depends on the user."

"Precisely correct," I responded. "There are many ways and tactics as to using a explosive tag. Two deas I'd like to emphasize upon, one being attaching explosive tags to clones and sending them forward and there is also a special Ninjutsu technique that makes them invisible. You can have them explode close on impact to your enemy." Pausing a moment, I waved a hand at the explosive tag in his hand. "Another one would be getting into physical combat with your opponent and then sneakily slipping a tag onto their body. You can blow their face off. Remember that you need to make the snake handseal for this to explode."
Turning around, I created yet another Shadow Clone about mid range from Zanda. Now, I want you to take over the mind of my clone and make him think that a clone of you is walking towards him," I instructed. "In reality, however, the clone conceals in an incoming explosive tag.
Time it well."
