Kpop vs American pop?

I know this is a wrong section, but I have heard from the news, friends and internet that Kpop (korean pop) is a very popular genre around the world nowadays. From what I have seen and heard, I think kpop is much better than American pop.

Why?

Both Korean pop and American pop are good, however American pop is losing its touch because ever since 2009 and 2010, American pop dropped while Kpop thrived. Every song I heard are different and performed by people who can actually sing without auto tune.
Korean pop artists actually have to be talented or good. They have to be able to sing and dance well to perform. Most of their music vidoes are funny and serious made, but American music videos looks like 99% porn and 1% music.

Which is better and why do you think so? Do not come here and say that kpop is not good because of the language. Kpop is sung in Korean with some of English words.

I never said I didn't like it. Its interesting, but how am I suppose to get into the music, if I don't understand what they talking about. They can be saying anything and because I don't understand their language I would being thinking its nice, when its shit.
