Kotoamatsukami and the Sharingan

I was kind bored until this question popped in my head after rereading the itachi vs Nagato fight where itachi said he would use it on sasuke.

Is it possible that a skilled uchiha could see through the effects of kotoamatsukami with a sharingan if they knew it was in their opponent's possession?

should be able too, once a person mastered the sharingan like madara and obito it would be hard to get in a genjutsu

I think that is what makes it so powerful. For one, eye contact doesn't have to be made like tsukiyomi, second it is strong enough to completely rewrite someones conscious mind, completely controlling their thoughts rather than manipulating them at a constant rate like other genjutsus.

I mean, if Deidara could train his covered eye to counter the sharingan (mentioned during his fight with Sasuke) then I guess anything is really possible.

Shishui mentioned that he tried to use koto on the Uchiha leaders to convince them not to make the coup d'etat and failed,so I guess yes.
