Crows are a genus of birds including ravens, rooks, and crows. The birds are highly social, intelligent as nonhuman primates, and have been known to hold grudges. They can create and use tools. Crows pretty much tend to be black. They're omnivorous.
Itachi and Shisui are the only known users of the Crow Summoning contract. Itachi commonly used them in the form of crow clones, having them flock and distract his targets, and in genjutsus. He famously implanted a one of Shisui's sharingans into a crow. Aoba also used crows in his Scattering Thousand Crows Jutsu. I dont think that was a summoning technique though.

Aoba's technique made use of crows but wasn't specifically a technique from the crow contract. There aren't much technique-wise and there are all pretty self-explanatory, So I'll post them and you can just ask any questions you have.
The only actual animal summoning technique of the contract. You summon a large black crow that can be used for various things and deals damage according to its rank by attacking with its beak, claws, and wings.
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kuroi Karasu) - Summoning Technique: Black Crow

Description: The user will summon a large black crow that stands about as tall as two people with a wingspan of about 5 meters which can be used for various tasks in combat such as generally attacking the opponent or for maneuvering around on the battlefield. The crow itself is only capable of standard physical attacks using its claws, beak and wings.
Note: can only be summoned once
Now for the technique, this first of which is Murder of Crows Confusion. This allows you to summon a massive swarm of crows that fly around a target to hinder their vision and confuse them.

Okay. You didnt say what method so I will just analyze the jutsu.
The black crow summoning is a fairly big crow. It seems to be a size relative to Sasuke hawk which means it should be capable of carrying at least one person. It doesnt have a turn limit on its existence which is nice. However it is fairly weak and its attacks probably wont deal lethal damage. Its talons could be dangerous if crow aims for the neck or eyes. Same goes for its beak.
Murder of Crows confusion is a great supplementary technique. Theres a large enough amount of crows to completely visually distract target and all of the "cawing" of the birds to cover up sounds. It doesnt do any damage but the jutsu could also mask or blend in with a genjutsu very well. And of course it can provide an opening for a physical attack of some sort.

Because it uses crows as a medium, it requires less chakra than the normal Shadow Clone Technique, while still being able to perform techniques (up to A-Rank). The dozens of crows come together to form the body of a clone. When the chakra projected by the user is severed, the crows disperse, though the user is still able to continue to speak through it.
Note: Can only be used by signers of the Crow contract and can only make 2 clones with each use.

The Murder of Crows seems to be the superior jutsu compared to the Murder of Crows Confusion jutsu. It can actually do damage while also doing the exactly same thing as Murder of Crows Confusion. Its only downfall is its shorter range.
Crow Clone jutsu is a great clone jutsu variant that requires less chakra than shadow clones. It also doesnt have any restrictions on the type of jutsu it can perform. Just the rank which is up to A.

Well, the main reason Murder of Crows Confusion doesn't do damage is because it's mainly for distraction, to obscure, or conceal movement. As for the rage, it's short because the crows can only attack physically, but they can fly to their target if need be.
