You are not born knowing an affinity. It just shows he has knowledge. Not that he is a master.

who knows in that 10-15year gap on when he learnt his latent affinity

the DB naming it doesn't mean he new hot to do jutsus for it

I thought the same before. I thought that it was just the potential of the ninja to learn elemental jutsus and those were ther affinities. Until I read this:

It clearly says that it is what they know. I know they did not show something to support it. But we can say that they are not pro. Remember, nature jutsus is not always chakra transformation.
