That's as stupid as me saying Mitsuki's thirst and wanting to whip out his snake to be of service to Boruto is the only facet of his character development. The fact is the manga has done 0 character development for anybody except Boruto and there's room for much more when Kodachi decides to do it. Never said she couldn't. And Kushina keeping her name was only a plot device to explain why Naruto has the name as a retcon, as Naruto was never meant to be from a well-known clan or to even have his parent's explored.

I read the manga and saw Sarada co firm she eants to become Hokage and deny interest In Boruto. If the manga focused on other characters and not Boruto they'd get character development. Take Mitsuki as an example he stands around all day saying Boruto, Boruto and he gets 0 focus. Bad writing on Kodachi's part imo

Actually, shockingly enough, and I hate to admit it, but you'd be right for once in saying that, as just like Salad, Mitsuki has no facet to his character beyond pining for Bolt in the current manga. Sure, he's an artificial human and may be tied to the Ootsutsuki, but currently, those are just background facts that don't come into play in the manga chapters we are reading.

Right, and until Kodachi decides to flesh out Salad and Mitsuki beyond pining for Bolt, that's all their characters will be for the time being.
