Naruto wanted to become hokage since the beginning though? For him to not become hokage at the end would completely ruin it for me. Plus, Konohamaru is way too young to become hokage and still has a lot of training ahead of him to even be compared to Naruto.

Also, wasn't that an Ova? I don't remember that happening in the manga.

Konohamaru became a Chuunin in an OVA - in the manga, he's still a Genin. Didn't he win because Naruto wasn't allowed to use Sage mode or so?

Anyway, it's one of Naruto's dreams to become Hokage - that was one of the first things he mentioned when the serie started. If Naruto doesn't become a Hokage if he survives, then why bother emphasizing time and time again that Naruto wants to become a Hokage? Would be a bit pointless in my opinion.

Also Konohamaru himself stated that he'll become Hokage after Naruto has become one. He wants Naruto to become Hokage first and then afterwards he'll try to become Hokage.

yeah he will him and naruto will fight for the hokage spot its the next naruto manga to come out we can all see that, hey i'll go as far as to say Konohamaru will have the nine tail in him

Uhm, sorry but konohamaru isn't chuunin, that was an OVA it has no relevance to the plot.

Konohamaru is a Genin, not a Chuunin and if Naruto dies there are a lot more candidates with higher chances of becoming Hokage. Like Kakashi, Shikamaru, Sakura, etc.
