The pairings at the end of the series were largely forced for the sake of plot kids. The kids only existed so they could be on the same teams as part of the new generation which forced all the relationships to happen all at the same time. This is clear with them only having the one kid that was needed for the plots sake outside of Naruto who get's two whole kids as the main character. The interesting thing about this is how they all ended up getting married and having their kids really early at like 20 or 21 years old. They could have waited to a more realistic time like their mid 20's but for whatever reason I think SP wanted Naruto and Hinata to get married and have kids right away which forced all the other relationships needed for plot kids to happen the same. This really screws up head cannons and timelines since there is no way all the pairings were even close to the same stages of their relationship where they should have all had kids at the same time.
What is interesting is how outside of the relationships forced for plot kids no one else had any kids. They all either remained single or at least did not get married or have kids. This get's funny when you start comparing ages of the characters that did not have forced plot kids. Like Konohamaru and his former team are literally 10 year older then Naruto's generation when they started getting married and they all seem single. I got this from Konohamaru being about 3 years younger than Naruto. Boruto is about 12 during the chunnin exam and he was probably born at least a year into Naruto and Hinata's marriage so it has been at least 13 years since their marriage. 13-3=10. I just find it interesting how unnatural the way the relationships ended up was when you think about it.
