To be fair, Sakura's range extends up to 210 meters....

Too bad none of his clones would be able to come close.

To be fair, that comment confused me...

WTF??

He proved it ^ It sounds unbelievable, but its true.

All hail Lord Tazzilla.

If you don't want to read this entire thing skip to the Tl:DR section below and just read the bolded parts
So based on my understanding of terminology short range and Close Quarters Combat is understood to mean battle occurring between 0 and 5 meters (0 to 16.4 feet)apart.
Mid Range is understood to take place between 6 and 25 meters (19.7 to 82 feet)
Long Range is anything beyond that. 26+ Meters (85+ feet)

Generally taijutsu and genjutsu would be what falls in the short range category. Examples: Hyuuga, Akimichi, Gai, Lee
Mid-Range would consist of some genjutsu in the lower distance levels of mid range and most ninjutsus probably fall in here as well. As 25 meters is a decent distance. Examples: Kakashi, Asuma, Zabuza,
Long Range would consist of ninjutsu and maybe very few genjutsu from extremely skilled practitioners . Examples: Gaara, Temari, Madara, Hashirama

Most people would be quick to throw Tsunade in the short range category. But thinking about it, that really doesn't make sense. It should be fairly obvious to us that even a part 1 Tsunade could reach mid distance without much of a problem.

The Databook puts Tsunade at 1.631 Meters tall. In the scan she is 71 pixels tall. Which will be represent by 163.1/71 The damage down by her single finger is 388 pixels long. Letting x serve as length in centimeters it would be represented by x/388. The equation now used is 163.1/71 = x/388 With basic cross multiplication we get 71x = 63282.8 divide both sides for x and x = 891.307042254cm divide by 100 to get to meters and the crater made from her finger was 8.91 meters long or 29ft 2 and 29⁄32 Inches for US people. That goes beyond the normal range of close combat.

In early part two in one of Sakura's flashbacks before power scaling really started we see Tsunade attacking. I won't bore you with the calculations because all the important numbers are already on the scan. But before powerscaling Tsunade was able to attack an area that is 56 Meters in diameter. Which would mean with one strike she would attack about 28 meters in each direction or 92 feet for Americans.

But now we have to take into account power scaling.
Based on Hashirama's words Tsunade's strikes are < or = to the strike shown by Sakura.

So because the difference in power is not great enough for Hashirama to state with certainty we can safely use Sakura's feat for Tsunade without worrying about much difference in size of AoE.
Now working on the databook tells us that Sakura is 161 cm tall or 1.61 meters tall. Now if we compare her height to the Fat juubi mini we'll find that the fat juubi mini is about 5.04 meters. (For presentation purposes I'm rounding numbers but in my calculations I used my full numbers). I got its height by measuring Sakura is 157 pixels. The Fat Juubi Mini is 491 pixels. Some cross multiplication where 161/157 = x/491, the next step would lead to 157x = 79051, then x = 503.51 cm divide by 100 to turn cm to meters. Which leaves you with the juubi mini being 5.04 meters. Now realizing that the juubi mini is 5.04 meters, and each of the fat juubi minis in the explosion have sizes varying from 31 to 41 pixels. Thus I decided to let 5.04 represent 35 pixels. Now the blue line represents the total width of Sakura's AOE. That width is 1465 pixels. In which case we set up another cross multiplication so that 5.04/35 = x/1465 Then we take 35x = 7,376.4 and x will = 210.75 meters. So Tsunade's AoE with powerscaling is roughly 210.75 meters.

If Part 1 Tsunade can cause damage nearly 30 feet away.... nearly 9 meters away with a single finger I think it would be absurd for any one to argue that she doesn't have attacks that reach mid range. Thanks to being able to now figure out power scaling with Tsunade having an AoE of 210 Meters (105 Meters in each direction) I find it difficult to believe that anyone could argue that her attacks don't effect long range distance.

Conclusion: (Tl:DR version) Tsunade's attacks cover all distance ranges.

Send a link then!! I wanna see that before I believe it! :D

And if it's just the area of her Yin Seal punch don't forget that the amount of damage caused to the outer parts of the crater are a lot smaller than the amount of damage it caused at the center.

Ohh didn't notice it since it was it was a quote and not the actual link itself :p

Well in any case, it's obviously true that Sakura's punch had a crater with a diameter of about 200m , yet there's a few mistakes in believing that that means her range is 200 m.

First of all it was the diameter of the crater that was 200 m, so if you think logically about it that means that the distance from her punch impact and to the edge of the crater is only 100 m. In other words if she punches the ground it will only affect enemies up to a maximum of 100 m away, not 200 m.

So yea he range certainly ain't 200. Other that that as I already metioned the amount of damaged caused at the other parts of the crater are much, much smaller than the amount of damage in the center. So yes, if Sakura hits an enemy directly with that punch it would in most cases obliterate them.

But on the other hand an enemy 100 m away, though it would take damage, would probably survive the attack with way less damage.

But I will admit that Sakura can actually damage enemies that are 100 meters away, but I don't see her killing an opponent that far away :p

Also though it is irrelevant to this particular topic, Hashirama saying that Sakura might be stronger than Tsuande is pure speculation as he probably died while she was still very young.

Tsunade was probably very physically strong then compared to her age, which gave Hashirama the idea that she would be ridiculously strong as an adult. And while she ofc is very strong, we have no way to tell if she was as strong as Hashirama imagined she would be by now.

Besides, we haven't seen Tsunade make any attacks with nearly as big impact as that one, so i'd personally say that Sakura is most likely stronger than Tsuande and has a greater range than her cause of that. My guess is that Tsunade probably has a range of 60 or something like that.
