Konohamaru and Naruto's relationship

Which totally contradicts Kishimoto's theme of the younger generation surpassing the older. We all know Naruto is the new Sage, so how can Konohamaru compete with that in power or impact? He can't.

Surpasses doesn't literally = surpassing in strength.. Its the same as the ideology "Learn from your past mistakes".

I know, but I seriously doubt that he will surpass Naruto in any sense of the word. I mean, Naruto will bring the most effective world peace their world has known. He will be the Sage, but succeed where the Sage failed. Konohamaru can't keep up with something so incredible.
