Konoha vs. Suna

They meet on a plain meadow. The armies of the Hokage and Kazekage are ready. Gaara waits for Tsunade's shinobi to make a move. Both kages are in the battlefield.

While the shinobi (grunts) are battling each other, Tsunade and Gaara go head to head.

Gaara has the range power and wouldn't be foolish enough to let Tsunade land a hit in her. And now that Gaara's managed to have Shukaku back (fanfic), his chakra reserves have gone up the roof and is now also a perfect Jinchuuriki.

Tsunade, having showed her true potential, has sage mode. She will not be dealt with so easily and she does not have to support anyone on the battlefield (yet) until her battle with the Kazekage is finished.

Both intend to finish off one another. Who will win?

The war part is just for show, its more of Gaara vs Tsunade. Personally, I dont think Tsunade's chakra punch can go through the Sand. The thing that makes Gaara's sand defense almost impenetrable is because it can absorb momentum and reshape and reform just as fast as Taunade's sage healing. So when Tsunade's pinch lands and scatters the sand, it'll just come back just as fast to protect Gaara from the follow-up punch. See what I mean?

Tsunade-has awesome power and strength and an intellegent fighter as well
Gaara- Best Defense other then susanoo,Jutsu's like sand coffin or sand shower would be hard for tsunade.

The win goes to Gaara his defense should be able to hold against tsunade's power and if this is open field it will be in gaara's favor to win because he can make even more sand with the minerals in the ground,tsunade is very slow thats obvious and she would not be able to dodge sand storm or coffin because they move at a fast pace.
