Konoha was the most powerful villages in the history of shinobi world. The two of the most powerful clans :Senju and Uchiha are apparantly are of Konoha village.
Besides, konoha once had control over most of the Biijus. First hokage had contol over them but to maintain the balance of power among the villages he started to distribute the biijus among themselves.xd. So , it seems to me that konoha was the root key to start the ninja wars. As they distributed power, other villages went hungry for more power and thus started to bring biijus power to their side. And this process didn't go unnoticed. every country now wanted the power and thus the ninja wars started after a long time of peace among the countries. to conclude "konoha is the reason of great ninja wars"

I agree but to add the other villages logically had clans that hated and wanted to prove themselves, against the sages family .

We know they was getting all the money and kicking ass to the point only them could face each other .

Having these power houses I bet it was the sand sound invasion all over again "we broke" " man tell hashirama & madara eat a ****" "f that I hear the sand village got money" "let's rob them". Lol

Hashirama wanted peace and wanted to stop the killings. Certainly there were other clans who wanted to prove themselves but only the will cannot do anything. One must work real hard on that will. But they never were stonger enough and were compelled to make the agreement.Besides other clans were also tired of endless killings so, they made agreements with fire country. Also there were villages who disagreed and decided to be enemies instead.
