Joel sits on the steps in front of the school, his elbow resting on his knee and his head propped up by his hand. He scowls and lets out a sigh. I'm so bored... I hate school.

Trying to cheer himself up a little, Joel marvels the fact that he hasn't been caught yet for ditching class. He can't help but wonder why he shows up at school in the first place. But there is one reason... one reason that keeps him coming back.
