However, we were found by Vampire hunters, men and women sworn to killing any and all vampires in the world they can find. My sister was among those who lost their life, I was there. I lost her when she was protecting me. From that night and to this day still, I felt weak and pathetic, for losing the one who I couldn't bear to. I came here during my travels to acquire strength to murder the savages that killed my sister. But then I met you, Tabatha. From the moment I laid eyes upon you, I knew that you could fill the hole in my heart that had been carved there from years ago. But, if I were to lose you like I lost her, I could never forgive myself, and would know that I would never find another person like you."

Kaname then quickly embraces Tabatha.
