I'm not sure who would be a good defensive teacher though... probably someone with good counter jutsu techs

I know... you definitely have to get into some Kekkai Genkai (However it's spelled) Like rubber or something to repel lightning.

The Kekkai Genkai seem to be where the best defensive jutsu come from... but you can always combine two different justu to make a third one in a more defensive manner
