It depends on the situation. If someone was in danger and hurt by people weaker then me, then I would take action simply because I have the upper hand. But you wouldn't walk up to a group of thugs that have guns and knives and say "Back off" while all you have are your fists, your out matched. I wouldn't throw my life away simply because I want to play the hero. If I saw someone in danger and hurt by a group of thugs that have weapons, I would do what a normal pulled together person would do and get the police. If we get there too late, then that sucks, but at least i'm still alive and still able to live another day.

Think of it this way, why would you die for someone thats going to die anyway? Don't throw your life away for someone that is already dead. Thats like trying to take a bullet for a dead body. If you do something like that, your stupid. That person is already dead, so why throw your life away for something as foolish as that?

Thats how I think. But your right. You could and are most likely a completely different type of person then me. U_U

See I am the type that thinks the police won't get here in time she will die if I don't stop them so I try to stop them if I get hurt or die so what it will be for something I believe in and if two people die in the place of one so what there are so many others to fill our spots at least I tried what I could.... And the way you put it "don't throw away your life for a dead person" that person isn't dead yet they can be saved that's why you were there at that time to try and stop them why in the infinite places you could be why would you be there unless you are supposed to do something?

"Don't die for a person thats already dead." Your facing people with weapons, what good are you going to do? If you get shot in the head, your going to die. Then they turn around and shoot the person you where trying to save in the head then walk away. If you would have stayed back and let it go down, the person you would have thrown your life away for would have died anyway. You just died for someone that was going to die anyway. Why would you willingly throw away your life for someone that is going to die one way or the other? To me, that sounds like a foolish way to live your life.

But as I said, you and me think in completely different ways. I think before I act, you act before you think because you want to try to do what you think is right. And I am not going to judge you for thinking this way. I agree 100% with your motives. Its just I wouldn't take that path because I would rather continue to live then throw my life away for someone that is going to die anyway. U_U

If it was someone close to me then I would think the same way. Why throw my own life away for my mother when she is already going to die anyway? Its either we both die, or she dies and I walk away. Sure its going to suck for awhile because I just watched my mother get killed in front of me and I was powerless to do something about it. But at least I am alive to remember her and help my other family members through her passing. If it was my mother, I would know that she wouldn't have wanted me to throw my life away for her. And if she did want me to throw my life away to try and pointlessly save hers, then what kind of mother is she? U_U

My first thought would be they're going to kill her stop them I wouldn't have the soundness of mind to think I'm going to call the police, yell then run like hell I would just go on what popped into my head...

Take the bullet for her you say? You say that expecting that the person who is going to shoot her only has one bullet in the chamber. Its not that hard to shoot you then shoot your mother. guns these days can normally hold up to 12-15 bullets. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It all depends on the gun. If your up against a Maxsell Jackal full auto pistol - Blank Firing Pistol, the person who is holding this gun has a 99% chance of having more then just one bullet in the chamber. If your willing to take that 1% chance of throwing your life away and then saving your mother, then go for it. Thats your life. You do what you want with it. But me, I'm going to take the road that seems to make more since and has a better results. U_U

Like I stated I won't have soundness of mind to look at the gun and say that is a Maxsell Jackal full auto pistol - Blank Firing Pistol I have a 99% chance of this blowing up in my face I'm going to think he is going to shoot her stop him...

But stop and think about it before you do so. If you yell then try to run, they are going to spot you and shoot at you. Can you run faster then a speeding bullet? Bullets travel at around 500 miles per hour. And it could go even faster depending on the gun. Can you run 501 miles per hour? Can you honestly sit here and tell me that you can out run a bullet? If you think about it, one way or the other both of you have a GREAT chance of dying, and then having the person you tried to save die anyway. U_U
