Konan should have just killed herself

After watching Obito VS Konan again, I have realized that the most secure way of stopping Obito from retrieving the Rinnegan would be if Konan just killed herself.

Obito was only able to find out where Nagato's body was located because he captured Konan and cast a genjutsu on her.

If she committed suicide Obito would most likely never find the Rinnegan. And it's not like she wasn't ready to die, because she tried to kill both herself and Obito at once.

But then she would have been leaving him alive, which might have allowed him to find out the location of the Dojutsu later on. Through her way, she could be sure to take him out (That is, if it wasn't for the Izanagi, which she wasn't aware of), and would have saved the Dojutsu along with taking out one of the biggest threats to the ninja world.

Funny because I just re-watched the Obito vs Konan episode few hours ago and I also wondered why she didn't just kill her self to prevent the genjutsu from making her tell the location or destroyed the rinnegan in the first place.

She really believed she can eliminate Obito; she was willing to die and she had no intentions to give info.
Why would she kill herself if she "knew" she can eliminate Tobi completely; killing herself would only make Tobi go around freely like he is doing now; he would still be after the tailed beasts like he is now.

Konan had already prepare all the bombs & everything .....she wasnt gonna go out with out a fight , & wanted to protect nagato's , yahiko & naruto's dream ....by fighting obito ...She stood up for what she believe in the end & killing herself would have been the cowards way & the easy way out

in the end she was just another character that got trolled by kishi U_U

Actually Konan was one of the best members of Akatsuki.
Not having her getting revived was a great thing. Why? Because almost every member of Akatsuki was trolled by Kishi during the 4th Shinobi War Era.

Deidara - OMG like this guy was trapped in that puppet of Kankuro for like the entire time?

Nagato - Those damn Itachi fans now make threads saying "Itachi soloed Nagato" even though that isn't true
Kakuza - This guy was trolled so hard by Choji and Tenten. Choji sat on him and Tenten easily destroyed those hearts of his.
Itachi - You're overrated. No offense. You only 'beat' Kabuto because of Kishi's Plot no Jutsu


I wouldn't even talk about the revived Kage. If sealing someone that has unlimited chakra and instant regenerative abilities is so damn easy than why didn't the members of the "Sealing Corps" seal away Deidara when he first attacked Sunagakure to abduct Gaara.

Yeah, I agree that edo Akatsuki was trolled badly. Maybe it can be explained by them being controlled, but damn... that was bad.

Chances are that Tobi could have just found her body and probed into her mind for the information, if he has the ability to even do that. I guess she wanted to at least attempt at killing him as a redemption for herself and Nagato's past actions in the Akatsuki.

A more rational thing to do would have been to completely destroy the bodies and her own, similar to how ANBU members disintegrate their bodies upon dying.
